Strickland is an all around stud of a WR. With great speed and acceleration, good ability to get off the line and make a catch, plus a great ability to run routes to perfection. Expect him to start right away in the Gators offense either as an outside Z receiver or possibly in the slot.

Kicker was an important need for the Gators for 2016. He's not the most accurate but with a very strong leg, he'll be a good one. Worse kickers have played for the Florida coaches in the past and won Groza awards so expect no less from Andrews over time.

Josh will possibly come in as a WR or QB. Would like to fit him in as a QB but we are currently stacked at QB with Mosley set to return for his Senior season, Collier becoming a Sophomore (redshirts messed up) and incoming Freshman Danny Walker

Danny will definitely see a redshirt as again the QB position is stacked at the moment. Had it not been he surely has what it takes to start from day 1, but he will have to wait a few years atleast.

Mark will give us something we haven't had in our 3 years at LSU. A TE who can threaten the middle of the field. He is a big body who along with 6-7 WR John Davis should provide some tough redzone matchups for opposing Defenses.

Thanks, I actually found him a little late. Maybe week 2 I believe. Was shocked he was even interested

Feel comfortable with my WR's now so unsure if there is an immediate need for him there but like the idea that he could play QB or WR. I'll do my redshirts on console this off season so they will take. Losing a year with some promising young guys but some are getting to play namely at WR.

With a big recruiting weekend in the books for the Top 25 contest against Louisville, Ohio State's 2016 class is starting to take shape -- let's take a look!

http://i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac330/jeffhc/2016_Drew_Mitchell_zps20c5d5b8.png

TE

:3star:

#21 TE

Drew Mitchell was the first to commit to Ohio State this season, coming on an official visit to the Kent State game and commiting soon afterward. Mitchell knows that, at Ohio State, the TE can become merely a glorified lineman at times, and he relishes in that role. Mitchell possesses O-line level blocking skills, with speed and movement skills befitting his tight end background. He will definitely see the field next season, and may slide into the starting role.

Mitchell committed to Ohio State over offers from Cincinnati and West Virginia.

The #1 recruit in the state of Virginia is going to Ohio State! Drew Thornton, from the same T.C. Williams high school that everyone knows from Remember the Titans, is a stylistic departure from previous recruits in Coach Jeff HCross's tenure, but we expect Thornton to bring his speed and running skills to the offensive backfield. Thornton should complement rising junior Kris Davis in a thunder/lightning type way. Expect Thornton to play immediately.

Thornton received interest early in the season from Texas, but received no other scholarship offers.

Ray Hines is another athletic player coming to Columbus. Hines, the #6 player in the state of Alabama, is another player that is breaking the mold for the Buckeyes. Like Drew Thornton, we believe his speed and athleticism will fit into the offensive backfield. With both Hines and Thornton coming in the same season, expect one of them to take a redshirt. Our money's on Hines.

Hines received interest early in the season from Texas, but received no other scholarship offers.

On the other side of Alabama, the #7 player in the state also heard the siren call of the Buckeyes. Torrance Gibson is a unique athlete with speed, ball handling and quarterback skills to boot. While he doesn't possess the arm of current Buckeye starter Marcus Avery, Gibson will obviously enhance the Buckeye running game.

With current backup Jason Roberson the presumed starter, Gibson is on the outside looking in when it comes to playing time as a freshman. However, he possesses enough skill that we could see some kind of Leak/Tebow like sharing of the quarterbacking duties.

Gibson was also targeted by and received offers from Western Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida State.

With the complete overhaul of the Buckeye offensive line over the last two seasons, no recruiting expert expected another offensive lineman in the 2016 class. But Robert Busch's skills were just too good for Ohio State to pass up. Busch is a bulldozer on the offensive line, and should be a very good candidate to bookend the line at tackle, maybe even as a freshman. Scouts believe Busch would be the second best lineman on Ohio State's roster right now.

Busch also received an offer from Notre Dame.

Allen Mason is an impact OLB that should give the Buckeyes the kind of production they expect out of the outside spot, where Mason will play closer to the line than most OLBs do.

Mason's biggest strength is, ironically, his strength, though he also boasts a quick first step and isn't easily blocked. Mason may see the field next season on special teams and LB heavy packages.

Mason was not pursued by any other schools.

A hard-hitting free safety from Florida, Jeremy Petty is at least a year out from seeing the field for the Buckeyes. That said, the Buckeyes have a solid starting free safety in sophomore All-American Craig Smith, so Petty will likely be a backup, at least initially.

Buckeyes coaches hope Petty can improve on his base running skills, especially his agility and acceleration, before he's needed for a significant role in the Ohio State defense.

Petty chose Ohio State over scholarship offers from Notre Dame and Massachusettes.

Joseph Duncan is a 3-star diamond in the rough find for the Buckeyes recruiters. He brings a nice mix of speed, agility and acceleration, and demonstrated the ability to be at the right place in coverage in summer camps.

With solid all-around skills, including the ability to get off blocks and make tackles, Duncan will be a candidate for other defensive back positions in fall camp, especially with a hole at Strong Safety.

Texas showed some interest in Duncan early, but the Longhorn coaching staff backed off once they saw Duncan's shared interest in Ohio State.

A four-star high school recruit, Jamie Rogers took the JUCO path, and now follows the line of JUCO stars at Ohio State.

Rogers impressed Ohio State coaches with his strength and ability to get off blocks, both crucial abilities for defensive tackles in Ohio State's defense.

Georgia Tech showed some interest in Rogers but did not offer a scholarship.

Another year, and another JUCO CB comes in Ohio State's class. It seems like a revolving door at that position, but Buckeye coaches have been happy with the production they've received, so they're willing to continue with Kris Jackson. Jackson was a four-star prospect in high school, and has spent the last two years in Junior College.

Jackson's coverage skills will be among the best in the Buckeye defense, with the ability to keep up with downfield threats as well.

Jackson did not receive any other scholarship offers.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt52/psusnoop/TySpurlock_zps9cbf892d.png Ty is 1 of 2 MLB's that the staff here at PSU went after. Ty will Redshirt next season. His first step is impressive but he must work hard to learn to control that quick first step.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt52/psusnoop/JamilBurgess_zpsb9fbc131.png Jamil was brought in to add some depth at RB next season. He will redshirt next season.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt52/psusnoop/DerrickJames_zps5c4c46d4.png Derrick will be a welcomed addition to the CB position next season. With Johnson last year and Derrick this season the CB position is really starting to show how it could be an asset in the years to come. Look for the staff to not redshirt Derrick and to give him some meaningful snaps next season.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt52/psusnoop/RogerEdwards_zps6cfa5227.png Roger much like Derrick is a blessing for this staff. With HB being in a tough spot when the staff took over we've seen some JUCO's come in and have some success but it never really solved the problem completely. That changed with Roger signing to play for PSU. Look for Roger to compete for the starting HB spot which if won, it could see current HB Terrance Redshirt and switch positions.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt52/psusnoop/JonathanHuggins_zpsf52f93fd.png Jonathan is the 2nd MLB to commit and will redshirt here at PSU. Depth depth depth here.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt52/psusnoop/PatrickPerez_zps0257464f.png Patrick is kind of a safety signing just in case the moving of a player or 2 doesn't work as well as planned for the PSU staff. Should the moves work the look for Perez to get regulated to mostly special team duties, otherwise depth is addressed.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt52/psusnoop/SladeHolt_zpsd35d5433.png PSU needed to get a Punter this class and Slade was eager to jump at the chance to play for PSU. While his leg is fresh there needs to be some work here to get some depth and hang time on his kicks. Coaches are confident they'll be able to work with Slade throughout the preseason and year to help him transition.

Coming out of Utah, Edwards was a recruit that received no interest from any other schools, despite being a record setter in high school for passing. With great arm strength and very good accuracy, he'll be primed to compete for the starting job as a true freshman. While he is statuesque in the pocket, Florida coaches have already been able to produce with departing QB Ben Lewis who has similar running capabilities.

Green is an excellent blocker and excelled in his high school's pass-happy offense. At Florida, Green will step into a similar offense. On paper, Lynes doesn't necessarily look like a stud, however Florida coaches saw that he's a good all-around runner. The first thing any scout notices about Long is that he's a receiver first and a blocker much distant second. He doesn't have great strength or blocking technique, but he can catch just about any ball thrown to him. Because of that, the Florida coaches are considering moving him to receiver permanently so that he can be a mismatch for corners over the middle.

Lyles also received offers from Wake Forest, Temple, and East Carolina.

Johnson comes in after being a highly sought after recruit in high school. However, his grades suffered and most coaches steered him towards a junior college. He eventually caught his grades up to par and now joins the Florida as a receiver. Expect him to redshirt so that Florida coaches can improve his poor techniques learned in JUCO, but afterwards he should be a solid contributor in the passing game.

When coaches began targeting Walter Long for TE, they knew they also wanted to sign a compliment to him in a blocking TE. With Ashley, they found that with decent hands to boot. Add in Ashley's ability to run over defenders, look for Florida coaches to consider trying him out at FB as well. The rest of this recruiting class in addition to spring ball will determine how things shake out.

Ashley also received offers from Syracuse and Virginia Tech.

Justin Thomas is an athletic player that will slot in as a Middle Linebacker for Ohio State. His athleticism gives him the ability to follow the play from sideline to sideline, though Thomas still needs work on his coverage skills and ability to get off blocks. He does have a good swim move, but he's overly reliant on it.

With a lot of experience in the linebacking corps next season, Thomas will likely redshirt.

Jones is a very good defensive back with decent coverage skills but where he's strongest is his ability to read plays and make a tackle on the ball carrier. With that, Florida coaches aren't sure whether to make him a dedicated Nickel corner or to bring him in as a coverage Strong Safety.

Either way, look for him to redshirt his first year on campus with a strong set of DBs returning.

If EA ever brings back the series, one thing they really need to look at is the recruits ratings for Block Shedding (namely DBs, especially athletes) and run blocking for WRs. There are just too many ratings that don't jive with the default roster.

The only problem I have with ignoring speed for receivers is that it makes it tough to beat man coverage with speed out of breaks. But high route running will make up for that. I've got a WR project I'm targeting, not sure if I'll nab him.

Rivero is quite simply a multi-purpose weapon. With good speed and running abilities, very good catching abilities, all combined with what could be the most accurate arm on the team next season, he'll definitely have a role in the offense in 2016. There's also potential for Florida OC Kerry Seigel to completely revamp his offense around Rivero.

Brian Duckett is another tall, rangy corner that is changing the mold for Ohio State cornerbacks. Duckett calls Richard Sherman to mind, though no one would rightly compare the two in anything but stature at this point in the young man's career. His sub-4.4 top speed is impressive for a freshman, and he has an impressive first step to go along with it. But Duckett has trouble keeping his hips underneath him in the 3-cone drill, which he needs to work on. His coverage skills are solid enough that he may get some early playing time in certain down and distance situations. Like Joseph Duncan, Duckett may be considered for a move to either safety spot.

Duckett chose Ohio State over Virginia, with interest also from SMU.

A consensus five-star in high school that didn't qualify academically, B.J. Peoples comes into Ohio State as a solid Junior JUCO. Peoples in nominally an Outside Linebacker, but will likely fit in at Middle Linebacker for the Buckeyes. His form tackling and ability to get off blocks conjures memories of former Buckeye defenders like Chris Spielman and Tom Cousineau.

Peoples also demonstrates very impressive coverage skills. If he was just a little faster, Buckeye coaches would have to consider him at one of the two safety spots.

Paul will be redshirted his 1st season on campus (hopefully if the game decides to hold them..). He still has some work to do but he should be starting his Sophomore season.c

Nick adds more size to an already big WR corp joining 6'7" Sophomore sure-to-be Biletnikoff winner John Davis, 6'-3" incoming Freshman Lionel Potts and 6'4" hopeful Matt Noble. Also added is 6'7" TE Mark Brooks.

Nick won't need to come in an make an immediate impact, so if he's able to be redshirted he likely will be.

Eric can come in and learn from a pretty solid DT we have now in 2x All-American Sophomore Nathan McGrew. With some improvement he has the ability to be in the same line of player. He may be redshirted but DT is a position we needed so he could possibly battle with another imcoming freshman for playing time.

Dale comes in as a project that needs some work. He has the potential of being a run stuffer for us but needs to work on some things before he is ready to get on the field.

Diggs has some big shoes ahead of him to fill. He will be part of a group of players who will be tasked to come in and replace 2x All American Chase McIntyre who will be graduating. Good thing may be that he has time on his side as there are a few other players who could vie for the position as well. If he develops though we could see him being a similar player as Chase was

Blake is another who will be tasked with replacing one of the team's best players the past 3 years. Although he comes in lacking in some areas, he has the physical tools to be around the ball alot which is the same quality Chase started out with before becoming the player that he finished up as.

Only expecting to sign one of them, Florida is able to sign 3 key recruits during the offseason.

Gordon was a stud of a player in high school. Playing both ways, he was an MLB on defense and a B-Back in his team's Flexbone offense. While he doesn't possess good speed, he does have all of the intangibles of an old school "3 yards and a cloud" running back. With his hard nosed running style, once he gets up to speed, there are few players stopping him.

Florida coaches expect that Gordon will have an immediate impact on the offense, potentially winning the starting job at HB or at the very least as a short yardage back.

Florida beat out East Carolina, Ball State, and Eastern Michigan for Gordon.

Harvey was a key target for the Gators all season long. Throughout the entire season, he continuously strung along the Florida coaches making them sweat it out to the end. As a true freshman, Harvey may possibly be the best OL on the team, or at least good enough to earn an instant starting job. With great strength and good all around blocking abilities, he'll be a force on the line throughout his career.

Duane chose Florida over offers from Missouri, Miami, & Western Kentucky.

Wilcox was a four star recruit coming out of high school but after his bad grades caught up with him, he went the JUCO route. Florida coaches never forgot about him and made sure he had a place to play once he got back on track. With great coverage abilities and good speed, he's an excellent cover corner. With two returning players ready to start in front of him, Florida coaches will likely redshirt him to allow him to become the stud he can be.

Wilcox chose Florida over a late push from Florida State.

Good lord. The rich keep getting richer lol

After looking at both Florida's and Ohio State's class I have to laugh at all my 50's and 60's I put up.

Need to put together something or my team is going to decline after the few guys I have graduate
