It is time for Ram to defend the countdown title. I will award the winner a $20 psn code. Please be a booster in good standing at the time we start. You can play (for the title) if not a booster but the $20 code goes to the top scoring booster. Just my way of saying thanks to the guys for providing the site.

For those that have not played before.

This will be a countdown of a list of songs that resulted years ago from an online site a buddy of mine had. Over 3000 men and women submitted their favorite songs. We gave 10 points for a #1 down to a point for #10 etc. So this was basically a popularity contest.

It will be your task to best determine what the masses liked best

You will pm me a top 10 which will determine your score in the game.

If you guess #1 with your number #1 you get 150pts
These "direct hit" bonuses work all the way down to #10 = 140 pts

Anything you get in the top ten not a "direct hit" = 125 pts
Anything you rate that is counted from #11 to #25 = 100pts
Anything you rate that is counted from #26 to #50 =75pts
Anything from #51-#100 =50pts
Anything from #101-#200 =25 pts
Anything from #201-#250 =10pts

If you list anything outside the top 250 you get ZERO pts.........I will list the top 300 shortly.

As I count down the list with links to music videos I will update who/when one of you "scores".

Our previous champs
80s music - Skip
90s music - J.B. Huskers
80s movies - CLW
90s movies - CLW
70s movies - ram - defending champion

CONFIRMED PLAYERS:
bdoughty
ram29jackson DEFENDING CHAMPION
JBHuskers
Marlowe

Players, I will accept lists until I start the game on 11/26 (in the AM Mountain Time) and will allow any updated lists (changed your mind) until that point as well.

As always any questions ask here or PM me. I will PM our former players and champs once but I think this notice of a start date should be enough. Posting in this thread that you want in is great but you are not "in" until I have a list and have posted you name under CONFIRMED PLAYERS just above. SOOO get me your lists asap if you want in.

Lastly, The game will begin and use a separate thread so don't let any videos posted by :ram?:confuse you.

I will post the top 300 next in alphabetical order for your research and for pre game comments, whining, jokes, complaints of how stupid people are etc.......... whatever vids anyone wants to post here please keep away from these 300 song, please ram:P.

It's crazy to think these songs are from the 70's. Just timeless classics

Love every Queen song on the list. Marvin Gaye, Stevie, Temptations, Aerosmith. Takes me back to the 80's and early 90's for me lol

First hint: of the top 25 there is only one act with two songs............The Bee Gees:fp:. Yes, that is right, only the Bee Gees have more than one song in the top 25......not The Eagles, not Led Zeppelin, not Marvin Gaye etc

This list is fixed. The fix is in. How in the heck are...

The Outlaws - Green Grass and High Tides (75)
Derek and the Dominos - Layla (70) Cocaine (77)
Deep Purple - Child In Time (70) Highway Star (72)

not top 300 and that was just a quick skim. The better game would be the top 10 songs left out of this list.

Good luck to the participants and whoever was predetermined by SC to be the winner. ;)

Edit:

My Top 10 songs not listed but should be in any top 300 70's songs.

1. Derek and the Dominos - Layla and Cocaine
2. The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop
3. Deep Purple - Child In Time
4. The Outlaws - Green Grass and High Tides
5. Deep Purple - Highway Star
6. Aerosmith - Walk This Way
7. The Sex Pistols - Anarchy in the UK
8. Janis Joplin - Me and Bobby McGee
9. James Brown - Get Up I Feel Like Being Like a Sex Machine
10. The Who - Baba O'Riley

All were released in the 70's. Found these omissions in under 30 minutes. Probably could have done a top 25 but whatever.

Just enter this as my list so I can be in last place.
