A very, very short and specific list of games of interest for me this week.

Instead of jumping around between channels for one or two games of semi-interest, my full focus will be on Air Force-Army, TCU-West Virginia and Navy-Notre Dame. Before kickoff at 8pm, I'll watch Colorado State-San Jose State for an hour. I MIGHT watch Illinois-Ohio State, but only at halftime of Navy's game.

The only time I'll be channel surfing will be the late night games as there are two GREAT Mountain West games in San Diego State-Nevada and Wyoming-Fresno State, plus what should be a good game with Utah-Arizona State, plus throw in Utah State-Hawaii online on MWC Video (either on my phone or on my laptop), which is a mandatory for me, and it should be a great night of games.

Gator is good. I've eaten gator before. One of many tasty animals I've eaten in my life. I've had gator, black bear, deer, turtle, frogs legs, squid, snake, and a couple others I'm forgetting off the top of my head.

FSU down 2 TD's at the half. One step closer to ESPN's wet dream of an all SEC playoff.

The Alabama schools need to play each other. The Mississippi schools need to play each other. MS St. still has to play both Alabama schools. Auburn plays Ole Miss in 2 days. Whomever survives the west will play GA in the SEC Championship.

The only way the SEC gets 2 is if 12-0 MS St. loses to 11-1 GA in the SEC Championship.

The amount of SEC panic is astounding.

Unless one of them plays the Irish in the National Championship. Then you will ALL be pulling for the SEC like in 2012. :fp:

And in summing up Navy's season, the Mids suck in the first quarter, put up 24 straight in the 2nd and 3rd quarters to take a 31-28 lead over Notre Dame, then promptly shove their heads up their ass for most of fourth quarter, find some life, then roll over and die at the end and lose to Notre Dame 49-39.

Navy now sits 4-5 on the year and a sub-.500 record is VERY realistic. To be honest, based on how Navy has played this entire season, I'm not sure I'd say Navy really deserves to even go to a bowl game this year.

steelerfan
11-02-2014, 01:38 AM
I wouldn't base Navy's level of suck on a 10-point loss to the Irish. They were in way over their heads and still played admirably. To be fair, and honest, they shouldn't stay within 30 of ND (based on the athletes) but they kept themselves in the game until the last couple minutes.

I know, and I'm not, I'm basing it on the entire season of suck. There's a reason they're 4-5 right now.

Honestly, I expect them to finish 6-6 at best. With as much as they struggled against Air Force, I give Navy a 50/50 chance at best against Georgia Southern in two weeks. I think will struggle against them. Against South Alabama, I give Navy maybe a 65% chance and Army, with it being Army, is 50/50 at the absolute best.

This overall has just been a poor season, and Navy continuously screwing up and constantly pissing away chances, especially after they came back and took a 31-28 lead, was just another drop in the well.

Unless Navy pulls their heads out of their asses and play like the Navy of the past 12 years over their last three games, then I think they should just decline a bid and stay home this year if they become eligible. They have not at all played like a bowl worthy team this year.

Interesting, though I wish the writer had listed the states with 0 instead of leaving it to the reader to figure out.

I was only really surprised by New Jersey. 33 vets, ranked 6th overall. I would not have guessed that.
