LSU puts away Arkansas 45-29

Game started off shaky for the Tigers as Arkansas played some of the best Defense we have seen, even better than Alabama's. Of course their run game and RB completely ran through us as well. The Razorbacks got on board first after Powell took it up a wide open hole then proceeded to break 3 tackles, the last being a complete run over of our Safety Chad McMillian who is a good tackler and hard hitter. Nonetheless Powell destroyed him and others on the day in breaking atleast one or tackles on every single one of his runs with 18+ on the day.

The Tigers settled down and tied the game up with 14 points scored in the 2nd quarter. LSU kept having players injured in the game. Already missing starting RB Spencer Lawrence who was inactive to the surprise of the head coach with broken ribs. Then his backup David Stovall left the game in the 3rd quarter with a strained back. So entered 3rd string RB Donovan Gray who hasn't had in his career or all season. The Sophomore RB only put up 120 yards and 3 TD's on 14 carries coming up huge for the Tigers. Gray may have just played himself into the 2nd spot. (He would easily get more carries if NCAA's substitution system worked like Madden's where you can swap players out at the playcall screen)

Arkansas made the game closer than it was late in the game getting a score, then recovering the onside and scoring again shortly after.

LSU gets a much needed by on the injury front before heading to Mississippi to take on Ole Miss.

CB Jeremy Parker left the game with a back injury and is expected to miss 2 weeks.

Florida Atlantic puts up a much bigger fight than expected, running for 207 yards on the same Ohio State defense that shut down Wisconsin last week. The Owls' Jay Warren rushed 11 times for 158 yards and 2 TDs, including a 75-yard-multiple-broken-tackles touchdown on the first play from scrimmage, and added another 43 yards receiving. But Warren was almost all of the Owls offense, and the Buckeyes were able to get enough stops to coast to a reasonably easy victory, 45-24.

QB Marcus Avery led the Buckeyes again, but this week he did it with his arm, not his legs. Avery was perfect on his first 18 passes, though #19 was an easily telegraphed interception. Avery ended the game 30/35 for 247 yards and 5 TDs. He added 74 yards on 12 carries on the ground.

Thought about it but figured it was too late into recruiting to snag anyoneI just added some new targets last week. It might be too late to find some great gem, but I assure you it's not too late to get players at all. If you think about it, we're all signing guys on Week 7, and we have eight weeks to go in the season.
