Just to update, I had no luck the last 2 days finding a retail ps3 at work. We only have 1 on our team and our TD has it. He wouldn't let me take it (his response was "What, did you have one die on you at home?" so he knew what was up). I'm thinking it just isn't gonna happen. So I am going to have to resort to finding a way to fix mine. That is probably unlikely, but I will try to watch some youtube videos and see how hard it is.

So I got instructions on how to fix the YLOD and borrowed everything I need today off a coworker who fixed his YLOD. Gonna give it a try tonight. It will either work, or it will ruin my ps3 and be unfixable after what I have done to it. Wish me luck.
