The new season is underway!

The season will advance again on Sunday, September 14.

With the Big Ten being user-heavy, some of those users may have up to four user v. user games. Everyone has at least two.

User v User Games:
Texas Tech (cdj) at #23 Nebraska (JBHuskers)
Michigan (Escobar) vs. #3 Tennessee (marcotte)
#4 Clemson (ecirp) vs. #1 Maryland (HANDSWARD)

#6 Penn State (psusnoop) faces #24 Pittsburgh (CPU)

Decided to play tonight. Heck of a battle against Pitt. I got a game winning FG as time expired to win 44-42. I was struggling to make big plays and had to really limit my passing game in the rain, I kept it short and sweet basically while grinding the rock with a committee in the back field.

I should be home from work by about 7 pm ET. I have an 11:30 hockey game that night, so we would need to get started no later than 9:15 ET. So if you can make a time between 7 and 9:15 Monday night then just say what exact time you want to play at and I will be there.

In Lincoln, Texas Tech rallied twice to defeat #23 Nebraska 28-24.

The Huskers jumped out to a 10-0 lead before the Red Raiders scored 21 unanswered points in the second quarter behind two RB Joe Miller rushing scores and a 28-yard pick six by CB James Boyd.

Nebraska would rally in the third quarter thanks to a HB Melvin Oliver score. The Red Raiders would put together a 20-play drive that ended with a failed fourth & goal deep in Nebraska territory. Faced with no timeouts and less than two minutes remaining, the Huskers would connect on several pass plays and take advantage of a breakdown in the secondary to score on a 77-yard pass from QB Tony Smith to WR Zach Colbert and regain the lead 24-21.

The Red Raiders would move down the field in relatively ease and connect on a 30-yard TD strike from QB Chris Richardson to WR Stephon Pace and retake the lead 28-24 with 35 seconds remaining.

Using no-huddle and out patterns, the Huskers drove into Red Raiders territory. With seven seconds remaining, Smith connected with WR Meadows (on his tenth catch of the day) at the three yard-line. However, as he approached the goal-line, the TTU defense connected on their tackle, stopping him on the one as time expired.

TTU heads home for their home opener vs. UTSA next week. Nebraska heads on the road to face #4 Clemson (ecirp).

pearice and I have been unable to connect when we invite each other. We both tried inviting. We rebooted. Not sure what else to do. Looks like we are just going to have to leave it up to the sim gods.
