Ohio State wins 34-31!

First, the Buckeye defense forced two early interceptions to keep Ohio State in the game while the offense struggled to get going early. But a late interception thrown by Marcus Avery gave the Illini life, down 7, and they were able to tie the game despite the best effort of the defense. The ensuing kickoff, with a mere 49 seconds remaining, was returned to the 50 by Edward Wood, and the Buckeye offense was able to get into field goal range to set up Dan Pierce for the game-winner from 31 yards out. Pierce's kick was true, his fourth game winner in the past two seasons.
