Not sure how many games I'll actually watch on TV this week. With Navy and Bowling Green on ESPN3 this week, and Utah State on MWC Video, that just leaves Tulsa of direct interest on TV. The evening games on Saturday don't really hold much interest, I'll probably mainly watch Arizona State-New Mexico or San Diego State-North Carolina. The most interesting games on TV this week for me are the late night games of Air Force-Wyoming and Colorado State-Boise State.

Arkansas State at Tennessee will be interesting.

Tennessee handled Utah State pretty easy last week... Are the Vols back or did USU and Chuckie Keaton fall off that much this year. I think a combination of both. We should give them a good game I think.

Yeah, that was an ugly game for Utah State last week. Thankfully they get to stomp the hell out of Idaho State this week. :)

God I hope not, they have stumbled against FCS schools in the past though.

Division II Tusculum sets new NCAA record for fewest yards allowed (http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/11468858/tusculum-sets-ncaa-record-minus-100-total-yards-allowed): -100.

That might not even be breakable in NCAA '14.

You're going to wet your pants if you get off the plane and McNeese is winning.

God I hope not, they have stumbled against FCS schools in the past though.

Anybody here have experience with modern TV antennas? Our signal just isn't stable for ABC. I would think a more powerful antenna would take care of that, but I'm not confident enough to put money on it. Other major channels all have great signals, so I know it's a signal problem.

I take it you already have some sort of HDTV antenna? Is the ABC station in the same direction as your other channel stations? Re-orienting and raising our HDTV (small, in-house) antenna helps.

Definitely better than ABC today.

I don't know that my antenna can really be oriented, but I'll try raising it.

I don't know how your TV works, but mine has a way to view your HD (over the air) signal for each channel. That should help you determine if orientation is helping exactly.

So, it was mounted on a hook on the wall behind the TV. I took the antenna off the hook to raise it, and it has only broken up once since. Unfortunately that means it's just laying flat on the top of my speakers, which is an eyesore. But it's good to know that orientation does appear to influence the signal.

Navy found their offense today. A hell of a game against Temple. Navy wins 31-24 behind a monster day of 487 yards rushing. Navy rushed for more yards than some teams had in total yards.

If their game against Louisville is any indication, I like our chances against Miami next weekend.

I thought Boise State wasn't allowed to wear all blue unis at home on their blue field?

Sent from my Droid Maxx using Tapatalk because I'm a lazy ass

The Boise State football team will be allowed to wear its all-blue uniforms on the blue turf, the NCAA announced Thursday.

The Playing Rules Oversight Panel denied the Football Rules Committee’s proposal to require a team to wear jerseys or pants that were a different color than the playing field. The PROP cited concerns that the rule “did not enhance the image of the game.”

The Mountain West wrote a letter to the NCAA in support of Boise State’s tradition of wearing all blue. The league prohibited the Broncos from using the all-blue look for conference home games the past two years but had rescinded that rule as part of Boise State’s decision to stay in the league rather than join the Big East.

The PROP did clarify a rule on jersey numbers that could apply to Boise State’s black uniforms, which include blue and white in the numbers. It also could affect the multi-shade gray numbers on the Broncos’ blue jerseys. The rule, which goes into effect in the Football Bowl Subdivision this year: “Jerseys must have clearly visible, permanent Arabic numerals measuring at least 8 and 10 inches in height front and back, respectively, and be of one solid color that itself is clearly in distinct contrast with the color of the jersey, irrespective of any border around the number.” There have been some exemptions in basketball, but the NCAA said Thursday that it’s up to the schools “to make sure the football uniforms they will be using adhere to this standard.” Boise State is looking into the issue.
Boise State’s black jerseys have two-tone numbers.

I can't fathom why Harbaugh would take the job, unless he feels completely unwelcome in San Fran, or he misses the college experience (recruiting)

JHC - He's a Michigan Man!Like all great "Michigan Men", he's from Ohio :D

I know full well why Michigan fans would want him ... but when you've experienced success at the NFL level, I just can't see much reason to go back to college, unless you simply feel like it's better for you, long-term. Like if a bad experience in San Fran made him feel like he wasn't fit for the NFL.

I certainly can't see him leaving San Fran willingly, though with only a year left on his contract, if he doesn't think an extension is coming then maybe he leaves for the job security? As if there's job security as the head coach of Michigan.
