Racing Game Season Mode

I'm not a huge racing video game guy. I really liked Modnation racers and enjoyed GT a little but what I find odd is that there are no season modes. I remember loving Andretti Racing (PS1?) where I had Indy and Stock cars and could set up a 10 race season. That was fun. I'd even join you guys in an online season if you could do something like that. Just playing single games online or single races offline to unlock a new track or car isn't good enough IMO. Any racing games out there have this? A ModNation 2 for PS4 would be cool.

Super Monaco GP on the Genesis

I had this game. It was hard as Hades. The cool part was that you selected a rival and if you beat them, they'd fire that racer and hire you.
