Apparently some NBA 2K15 news coming out Thursday. What are your guys' thoughts on game companies using popular YouTube creators to tease/give out exclusive game info/media? Or is it something you are even aware of? FWIW, 2K and EA both do it and I am sure many others do as well.

While NBA 2K14 featured the voice of LeBron James, all of the others came from voice acting talent. NBA 2K15 will feature many more real NBA players with full scripts and roles to play in MyCAREER.

2K Sports has been tweeting many pictures from various NBA players in their studios, including the cover athlete himself Kevin Durant. Other confirmed players include Thaddeus Young, Al Jefferson, Gerald Wallace, Andre Drummond, Channing Frye, Brandon Knight, Al Horford, Trey Burke, Brook Lopez, Andre Iguodala.

Expect many more to be revealed soon, possibly in the 2K Sports livestream later this evening.

Obviously, it wouldn't happen this year but what if Sony bought the exclusive rights or even acquired 2K to become a 1st party publisher for Sony. Would 2K become the console seller that some consider The Show to be (for baseball fans)?

Sony's market cap is 18.3 billion where Take 2s is 1.8 billion so it is certainly feasible. Moreover, if this EA/MS v. Sony "feud" is real Sony would be wise to lockup exclusivity to the best baseball and basketball games as well as the rights to WWE; GTA/Rockstar; etc...
