Washington gets a quick start off the block signing a blocking TE in Week 1.

With the transfer of former TE T.J. Porter, Washington has a shallow depth at Tight End. While the two currently on the roster are young and very capable, a need for the future is there and Washington has already filled it in Potts.

With great strength and good blocking skills, he'll be an excellent addition to the line in a couple of years after he's redshirted.

Probably the most excited I've been about a QB recruit.

Meh... short, not that fast, and not a strong arm. My most excited is one that Papa & snoop are also after, though I've pulled into a narrow lead as our visits start coming into play.

Over a couple years, he'll be good.

Sent from my DROID RAZR Maxx since I'm too lazy to get to the CPU.

Not all of these were signed this week but here's the rest of my class so far.

Noel is a slow but all around solid Linebacker. He'll need some time to develop his strength and get a bit faster but he already has a nose for the ball and can get off blocks to chase down a runner in the backfield.

Expect Noel to redshirt and be used in a year or two.

Wall is a short but excellent athlete. With really good speed and a great arm already developed, look for Wall to contribute in a backup role immediately, though depending on the rest of the class, he may move over to HB and become a Wildcat QB.

Golden is a stud at defensive end and will fit perfectly in the Washington defense. With good strength, good speed, and great ability to get off blocks and chase down the ball carrier, look for Golden to be a stud in the future.

He may play as a true freshman but the coaches are waiting to see how he looks come the fall.

Hall is a momma's boy and as momma's boys do, he listens to his mom who wanted him to stay close to home. While the Washington staff hardly even recruited him, he was eager to commit to the Huskies anyway. With excellent ball carrying ability along with bruising running, he'll be a nice bowling ball in the future.

Expect Hall to redshirt as a true freshman and may be a while before he sees much playing time.

Dawson was completely overlooked by other schools due to his 3-star status but he has the capabilities to play like a 4-star. While his coverage skills and play recognition aren't quite where they need to be to start, he has the mold to become a stud at CB in due time.

Expect Dawson to redshirt with an already strong CB class returning.

Meyer is an excellent blind-side blocker on the O-Line. With great height and pass blocking abilities plus good strength and run blocking abilities, look for Meyer to develop into a first round draft pick in the future.

For now though, Meyer will likely be in a backup role as a true freshman so he can learn before being thrust into the starting role.

Armstrong plays fast and violent with great speed, agility, acceleration, hitting power, and pursuit capabilities already developed. While he needs to work on his play recognition and coverage abilities, he'll excel in the Huskies defense just by being able to run down ball carries.

Look for Armstrong to redshirt his first year but contribute significantly his second.

The Jewel of the class, Taylor deserves every bit of his #1 ranking. As a QB, he'll already be considered one of the fastest QBs in the nation and add in his strong arm, elusiveness and shifty moves, he'll be earning Heisman votes even if he redshirts his first year.

After touring the Washington campus, he knew he was home and cancelled all other official visits including trips to Texas and Oklahoma State.

Expect Taylor to probably redshirt though with his skills, it will be hard to keep him pinned down once he steps on campus.

O'Donnell is a track star both on and off the field. After watching UW WR John Cain tear up the field, O'Donnell looks to fill in that same role as an outside speed burner catching passes behind the DBs. With good hands and great ability to make spectacular catches to go along with his speed, look for O'Donnell to fit in perfectly after Cain graduates in a year.

T.J. Thomas doesn't stand out as a stud but has the makings of an all-around monster on defense. With his ability to play in the box (both standing or with a hand in the dirt) and his closing speed, Thomas will be a player that opposing offenses will have to know where he's at on the field.
