I told you. The popular opinion is that Sony didn't think it would do very well and didn't manufacture very many. Now they're virtually impossible to find. USED ones are going for around $100 on eBay, factory sealed new ones for $150+. Absolutely ridiculous considering it hardly does anything.

Assuming you still have the box and everything is in good shape, you'd have no problem getting $100 for it, even used.

So I am having problems watching anyone's Twitch stream. It's nothing but a lag/stutter fest. Anyone know if thats a common issue? I've read that there are allegations of throttling Twitch by ISPs but who knows if thats true or its just a case of problems with watching a live stream.

I'm not watching any Twitch streams through the PS4 just my PC. I've tried multiple broadcasters at various times of the day and they are all pretty much the same 10 seconds fine then freeze for 30 seconds rinse repeat.

Well, looks like my hopes of doing some Twitch streaming, now that Twitch broadcasting is available on the Xbox One, are going to bite the dust not even 24 hours after it become available. Even though I'm paying for a good, decently fast connection, both tests on my laptop and on the Xbox One itself, I'm only pulling down 15.60 Mbps D/1.26 Mbps U with a 30-90 ms ping.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is an absolute laggy mess and even Madden 25 has been really laggy in the test broadcasts that I've recorded. Either it's the same deal with CLW/AT&T U and Time Warner is throttling speeds when connecting with Twitch, or I'm paying for much higher D/U speeds and not getting jackshit in return from Time Warner. Either way, unless something magically clears up or I find a new provider that actually gives good speeds, looks like no Twitch broadcasting for me for the time being.

I don't know about the Xbox specifically but you should be able to stream at least at low settings. I was able to stream a nice, clean 480p when I had 1mbps up. I had my settings to use 500kbps so that I could play online with the other 500... Didn't really have any issues.

Yeah, I played Madden 25 in just a regular Play Now game, and it was still lagging up.

Looking at the settings, 800kbps is the setting for Low. When I get a new recommended speed, it is usually somewhere between 850 and 905kbps, but if I go with the recommended setting, the recorded video ends up with a bunch of lag. I wait until I finish streaming a test broadcast and go offline, then go look at the video so I'm not taxing my connection. But even when Xbox One/Twitch are the only things using the internet, it still lags up something fierce.

For normal browsing, you may never notice but for streaming anything, you'd get sudden pixelation like seen in your video.

I'd contact your internet provider and ask them to run a test on your line. There's a good chance that there's either something wrong with your modem or the wiring to your modem. Since I think you have cable, one possible explanation is that the splitters you have coming into your house aren't set so that your cable modem outlet is the strongest option... that would just depend on how the installer configured it.

Damn. Alright, well at least I may be on the right track to get things sorted out and potentially be able to do some streaming down the road. And yeah, it's a cable modem, Time Warner Cable for TV with Roadrunner for internet. If I remember right, I think I have the 30/10 speed package, clearly not getting anywhere near those. Sure, those are supposed to be the max that you're paying for, not what you're likely to actually see in reality, but if paying for 30/10, I'd hope I'd at least see something like 20/5 or something.

Running a test on my PS4, it says that my download speed is 13.9 Mbps and my upload speed is 1.7 Mbps.

Interestingly, I can't stream a game for crap on Xbox One, even on minimum settings, without it being lagged all to hell. Just tried streaming an inning of MLB The Show on PS4 and set to medium broadcast settings, it seems to come through pretty cleanly. Maybe a brief hiccup here or there, but otherwise not bad.

I ran a speed test from my provider AFTER having a discussion with them today. I am now running with: 21.79 download and 2.57 upload. As of last night my upload was below one.

(Edit: after running several tests the average is about 22 download and 2.55 upload)

In that case, you should have no problem streaming at all even on BEST settings. You'll probably be OK to stream while playing a game online, though I'd probably test it first to be sure.

Yup that is the only way. However, I think if you link your twitch account to youtube after streaming to twitch you can transfer some of your files that way. The only question though will be quality of the feed.

Just as a follow up, I stream last night on BEST. Steeler watched most of the game and he said the stream was fine. I would love to be able to broadcast in BEST HD but I read somewhere you need to be in the 3-3.5 mbps range for uninterrupted streams.

What the hell happened to Twitch in the last 24 hours? All of a sudden ALL audio in every one of my streamed RTTS series is being muted because of third party copyrights and stuff. Without the audio, it pretty much kills the atmosphere of the streamed games.

That's what I was wondering. Well, tonight when I do the next series, I'm going to completely kill all music in the menus and kill walk up music. Should just leave sounds on the field and commentary. See if that changes anything.

Reading through the terms I am actually okay with this.

I. Audio: only audio in VOD will be impacted. Actual live streams will continue on as is. Most people only watch live streams and don't go back and look at saved video. So I will still be able to watch and listen to JB, Steeler, Smooth, etc. during LIVE broadcasts. As for the soundtracks, it is probably best to turn the music off and then there be no issues.

II. VOD: I have started to use the highlight feature. All you do is take your archived broadcasts and shorten them. Two hours is fine as I only usually stream for an hour at a time. Once you highlight a broadcast it will be saved. Once the YouTube compatibility is brought in you will be able to upload full clips to save them forever. Highlights however will be saved forever once you make them.

Hopefully I can avoid any issues with MLB The Show now. I just completely killed all music in the menus, I lowered the music volume slider all the way to 0 and I turned off music reverb in the stadium in games. I also changed all three walk up music selections for my player in RTTS to none. So hopefully I have no more issues, since my home run highlight last night is now a silent movie due to some random ass music playing somewhere in that game that got flagged and killed all audio for it.

Well, as of this morning, my recorded stream of my series against NW Arkansas from last night still had audio. So it appears turning off all music in MLB (which I really didn't care for any of it anyways), and killing music reverb in the stadiums, will work as a work around to avoid having audio chopped out of past broadcasts.

Damn! Just got my first taste of "censorship." I think it depends when you start the game. I started one in the actual game menu when I was playing the Brewers and it worked fine. However, starting in the mode menu where music is playing mutes everything for the entire stream. I will do what you did and turn the music off. Hopefully that will work. I MAY also hook up my mic and entertain the "masses" (aka 1-2 people who actually watch me... :D ) more frequently.

Well unless I am missing something, it appears COD folks are on a rampage with hitting folks with copyright violations, so nothing with pure gameplay from the event is online at the moment.

Sweet, I may be able to start streaming again. Had to take the crappy modem in to Time Warner just a little bit ago after it again died twice in the last two days. After getting everything rebundled to knock $50 off the monthly bill, they threw in an internet upgrade for free, so I'm now averaging around 30+ Mbps down and and 6+ Mbps up. Not the scorching hot numbers CLW and others are getting, but more than enough that I can potentially resume streaming PS4/One games with little issue.

Yeah, I had to resort to doing that for MLB 14 and 15. Otherwise the audio would get wiped for the entire broadcast. I'll have to remember to do that in FIFA and NBA Live. Next time I'm on them.

First attempt at full Manual controls. I was able to get a nice goal. It's definitely harder but smoother/more control in another way. When you pass the ball it pretty much always leads them which I think is nice. If you want to fire it to their feet you can press RB+pass.

As you can see from my video it looks like the camera is centered on the middle of the field. When I view the highlight on my Xbox1 it shows the entire field along with the space behind the goal. In the highlight video it seems to cut off the screen. Any tips/pointers?
