Thanks Smooth! Definitely looking forward to see Michigan St. in the Rose bowl. Dream scenario for me would have been ASU beating Stanford and then I would see the two schools I pull for battling it out for the Rose. Hopefully TSN will broadcast the Holiday bowl up here so I can see the fate of the Sun Devils.

No problem! I was watching the BCS and Bowl selection shows on ESPN, so figured I'd get the schedule up while sitting there watching the announcements. There's a couple of non-BCS games that I'm looking forward to this year.

First is obviously Navy vs. MTSU in the Armed Forces Bowl. Second is Utah State vs. Northern Illinois in the Poinsettia Bowl. What a tumble for the Huskies, going from an assured BCS bowl game, to crashing all the way to the Poinsettia. And what a match-up for the Aggies, taking on Heisman candidate Jordan Lynch and the Huskies' talented offense.

After that, there are actually a LOT of interesting bowl match-ups this year! Colorado State vs. Washington State in the New Mexico Bowl, Fresno State vs. USC in the Las Vegas Bowl, Buffalo vs. San Diego State in the Idaho Potato Bowl, Boise State vs. Oregon State in the Hawaii Bowl, Syracuse vs. Minnesota in the Texas Bowl, BYU vs. Washington in the Fight Hunger Bowl, Michigan vs. Kansas State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, Oregon vs. Texas in the Alamo Bowl, Arizona State vs. Texas Tech in the Holiday Bowl, Nebraska vs. Georgia in the Gator Bowl, Wisconsin vs. South Carolina in the Capital One Bowl and Arkansas State vs. Ball State in the GoDaddy.com Bowl.

The games may not end up being close or hard fought once the games actually begin, but right now, looking ahead of time, those look like they should be some good ones to me, and are games I am definitely going to be watching. And because it's gonna be the last month of college football until next September, I'm gonna be watching all of or at least as many of the bowl games as I can anyways. But those are the ones I am going to be especially making sure I watch.

List of teams left out of a bowl game this year (from ESPN):

Left out

Nine teams were bowl-eligible but did not receive an invitation to a bowl.

Western Kentucky (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/98/western-kentucky-hilltoppers) had the best record to be left out at 8-4. Four other 6-6 Sun Belt teams were also left out: Louisiana-Monroe (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/2433/louisiana-monroe-warhawks), South Alabama (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/6/south-alabama-jaguars), Troy (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/2653/troy-trojans), and Texas State (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/326/texas-state-bobcats).

Toledo (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/2649/toledo-rockets) was left out with a 7-5 record, and fellow MAC team Central Michigan (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/2117/central-michigan-chippewas) (6-6) also missed out.

San Jose State (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/23/san-jose-state-spartans) and Florida Atlantic (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/2226/florida-atlantic-owls) also did not receive bowl bids despite being bowl-eligible at 6-6.

FSU favored by 9.5 against Auburn.

Was really hoping Ohio State would make it in to lock out the SEC. Now, I have to go with the favorite (prefer underdog in game I have no rooting interest) as I don't want to see the SEC win again - even though Auburn is a great story this year.

List of teams left out of a bowl game this year (from ESPN):

Oh joy! They will make up for that next year with more bowl games. :fp:

The only team on there that I feel that shouldn't have been left out was Western Kentucky as they were 8-4. To me, that should be a rule, 8-4 or better go to a bowl game, 7-5 or 6-6, you go home for Christmas!

Was hoping that Nebraska was going to play an old Big XII foe in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, but happy they are on a New Year's Day bowl because I would have been DJ'ing on the 28th anyways. Just kinda dumb that it's a rematch of last year.

yeah but Utah States defense is just as good as Bowling Green's which I think cancels out Lynch again

USC will do what they should have done to GT last year and beat on Fresno all over the field with their superior athletes.

Washington State really screwed the pooch today.

Jared Roberts made a 41-yard field goal as time expired and Colorado State overcame a 22-point deficit to beat Washington State 48-45 on Saturday in the New Mexico Bowl.

With less than 2 minutes left, Colorado State's Shaquil Barrett forced Cougars running back Jeremiah Laufasa to fumble at the Cougars 33. That set up Kapri Bibbs' 1-yard run scoring and Donnell Alexander's two-point conversion run that tied it with 33 seconds left. Then, Washington State's Teondray Caldwell fumbled the kickoff return at the 24, setting up the winning field goal.

It'll be a long off-season in Pullman.

Hell of a game tonight by Utah State!

For only the third time in 54 tries, the Aggies knocked off a ranked opponent, beating #23 Northern Illinois 21-14. It was a close one, NIU leading at halftime 7-6 and Utah State taking the lead back 13-7 in the third quarter. Utah State tacked on another touchdown (plus a two-point conversion) to make it 21-7 with 4:14 left in the game. The Huskies weren't about to quit, driving down the field to score and cut it to 21-14 with 1:44 left, but Utah State would recover the onside kick and that was all she wrote.

A damn great end to a season that got off to a less than desired start, as Utah State opened the once promising year 3-4. But, they came together in the second half of the year, reeling off 5 straight wins to end the season, suffered a 7 point loss to a damn good Fresno State team in the MWC CCG, and then knocked off a ranked Huskies team to win the Poinsettia Bowl.

I'm having a rough start in the bowl pickem but I'm not that surprised by the Utah State win. I picked them to win because of the top 10 defense and only being 1.5 or 2.5 underdogs and what Bowling Green did to NIU....although BG screwed up in their bowl game LOL...Washington State 3 fumble dumb asses in their game

Thank god! MTSU defender Roderic Blunt got his fucking ass kicked out of the game. Dirtiest and most classless fucking player I've ever seen, and MTSU is sure attempting to be the dirtiest team I've seen all season. All game long, that Blunt fuckoff has been taking cheap shots at Navy players (forearmed one Navy player after tackling him out of bounds in the first half), pushing players after plays, getting in their faces and running his mouth all fucking game.

The dirtiest shit came in the third quarter. Keenan Reynolds ran the ball and was already tackled, Blunt comes diving in and tries to gouge out Reynolds eyes (you could see him trying to get his fingers inside of Reynolds' facemask), forcing Navy to put a shield on Reynolds' facemask. You could see Reynolds on the sideline after the play rubbing his red and watery eyes, showing that Blunt was able to get his fingers at least partially inside the mask.

Then finally at the end of the quarter, after a play near the MTSU sideline, the play as already over and Blunt basically rolls over on top of a Navy player and just laid there facemask to facemask continuing to talk shit and run his mouth. Thank god, that was the end. He got flagged for his second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty of the game, and his punk thug ass got kicked out of the game. Wherever the fuck MTSU got him from, it's time to send his ass back to the ghetto.

Four players in history have ran for 30+ touchdowns in a season. Two have happened this year. One was Bibbs (CSU), the other was a QB (Reynolds from Navy). Hard to really call him a QB with 19 yards passing in today's win though :D

Was just pissed that fucking idiot still hasn't learned how to tackle properly. He got flagged for targeting back in October against Toledo, and I think there was another occasion during the season, the ejection being overturned both times. Today, got flagged for targeting and was ejected, even after review. It was sort of a BS call, it was shoulder to shoulder, only targeting that he did was essentially launching himself, there was no helmet to helmet contact. But, the dumbass still hasn't learned to tackle properly without launching his dumb ass at a receiver. And because of that, left Navy's already thin safety corps even thinner (and it get yet even thinner after that as he replacement got injured a couple drives later).

I will say one thing, before today, I felt bad for MTSU and thought they got screwed when they didn't get into a bowl game last year. After today's game, to hell with them. I couldn't care less if MTSU never plays in another bowl game ever again. Absolute trash today. And that Blunt douchebag should be happy he's a senior. If he was an underclassman, his ass had better have been getting kicked off of the team and his scholarship revoked in the next week or two after that thuggish bullshit the entire game today, from kickoff until he got ejected.

And if he's even being remotely considered by any teams come the NFL draft, I hope those teams and coaches sit down and watch today's bowl game from beginning to end and see just exactly what type of thuggish, ghetto trash they're getting in him. He makes Nick Fairley and Ndamukong Suh look like fucking saints!

I know, I even said, it was technically a bullshit call, the only "targeting" he did was in essentially launching at the receiver. Otherwise, it was shoulder pad to shoulder pad. It should have been overturned. But regardless, after already being flagged for targeting in at least two other games this season for similar hits (though those were both overturned after review), he should KNOW BETTER by now. Don't launch yourself through the air and leave your feet like that and make it look like it could have been targeting to a ref watching it in real time.

Even if he was an underclassman, he would still be on the team. The coaching staff has been like this all year with this kind of crap. Most MTSU fans have wanted the school to do something about the coaches this year, but it has falling on deaf ears. That may change as a lot of MTSU fans have wrote emails and letters to the AD with this bowl game
and want something done about this and are not happy with the way coaches and bad apples on the team have made MTSU look very bad.

Even worse for Longhorn fans, they had to watch their rival and 14+ point underdog lay the wood on Arizona St. That said those grey unis still make me want to puke and the Matador/numbered helmet sucked. Sorry but someone has to be a traditionalist here. Double T on the helmet or nothing.

Each team should have one home and away uniform, one freaking helmet and plain ass gloves. An alternate throwback uniform (not helmet) can be used once a year.

Also, since the people running the NCAA and NFL are a bunch of progressive twats who came up with this targeting bullshit we need to bring back something to even out the DB/WR play.

Unlimited stickum.

Yeah, that was just disgusting yesterday. And it was like that the entire game! From the opening kickof, clear up until the time he got ejected, Blunt was pulling some sort of crap. A forearm/elbow to the head of a Navy player after a tackle out of bounds on MTSU's sideline, pushing Navy players after plays, almost like he was trying to get them to react back, constantly getting into the faces of Navy players after every single play.

The one that pissed me off the most, coming diving in LATE after the play has already been whistled dead and then trying to gouge the eyes of Keenan Reynolds. Who knows what he could have done to his eyes if he had been able to get his hands in his facemask more. Keenan wants to be a fighter pilot, if his eyes got injured in any way from that bullshit stunt, and that would be the end of his possible fighter pilot career before he even graduates.

Then the play he got ejected on, again the play already whistled dead, he's laying on the ground next to the Navy ball carrier, and he essentially lifts himself up and rolls over right on top of the Navy player and just lays there, helmet to helmet spouting more shit (you could see his helmet moving) for at least a couple seconds. Thank god the refs finally flagged him for unsportmanlike conduct a second time after that and finally ejected his ass.

Looking back now, now that the anger of that douchebag has settled down a bit, for the most part MTSU was alright. A couple of their players took part in the jawing or some shoving, but for the most part, it was just that Blunt douchebag causing all the trouble. Now, has it still clouded my perception of MTSU and their reputation? Unfortunately yes. Between Blunt's antics and the fact that NOBODY did a damn thing the entire game to stop it. None of his fellow players, not the guy who is a former marine playing for MTSU, not even the damn coaching staff. Hell, MTSU's coach gave Blunt a damn pat on the back and a lighthearted, almost smiling remark to Blunt as he walked by after being ejected, almost like the coach was saying good job out there.

After yesterday's game, I'm not going to condemn the entire university (at least not now after calming down from all the BS in that game), and I'm not going to condemn the entire team, though I will admit I no longer have a very favorable outlook of MTSU and probably won't be rooting for them in any football games or bowl games in the near future. However, I am going to condemn Blunt and the entire MTSU coaching staff. The announcers of the game said it well, if the refs had seen and flagged Blunt for everything he did, he probably should have had 5 or 6 unsportmanlike conduct penalties called on him by the time he actually got ejected. And yet, the coaches seemingly never did one damn thing to call him out on the dirty play and either get him to stop or pull his ass from the game.

But, oh well, now he gets to live exposed as a dirty player. Any slims hopes he had of the NFL (doesn't look like he was being projected as much of a candidate to be drafted) may have just been damaged after coaches see all of that crap he pulled. If he's doing that in college, what's to say he's not going to do that in the pros? So he's now exposed, and he gets to live with the fact that he probably cost MTSU a win in that game. At the time he got ejected, it was still 10-6, Navy had just gotten a first down at the MTSU 42 yard line. His penalty ended up making it a first down at the 27 yard line and Navy would go on to score 5 plays later. An intercepted on MTSU's next drive, and Navy needed just two plays to cover 43 yards and take a commanding 24-6 lead with 9 minutes left. So he gets to enjoy feeling responsible for all the BS he pulled, the fact that his penalty and ejection essentially handed Navy a touchdown, and now he gets to deal with it every the rest of the year on campus from fellow players, from the students and the administration who watched that game. I hope he catches shit from the student body for days, weeks even after all that BS yesterday.

Sorry Smooth, that hit was clean, not the best example of how to tackle but he lead with his shoulder. In fact you are the only one I have seen who thought it was targeting, outside of the refs.

Like I've said, it was essentially a bullshit call. I was cursing up a storm at the TV when the flag was thrown and when the ejection was upheld. I've even said and agreed with the talking heads, it was shoulder pad to shoulder pad, there was no helmet to helmet contact. However, he has to know better than to tackle like that. He has already been flagged for targeting in the Toledo game and at least one other game (can't remember the opponent), both times he got lucky and they overturned the ejection. Today, his luck ran out and it bit him in the ass.

Yes, it was shoulder pad to shoulder pad, yes the refs dicked that call, but he put himself in that situation. You DON'T tackle like that, and you don't go into the air and leave your feet trying to hit or tackle an opponent. The only targeting claim that I could see in the replays was him jumping towards the defender and leaving his feet on the tackle. It was still a BS call, but he put himself in that situation after already being flagged for targeting on similar tackles in past games, and he still hadn't bothered learning how to tackle properly.

That's what I was upset at him about. Instead of just making a proper tackle, he even ever so slightly launched at the receiver and those refs (I don't even remember what conference they were from) called him on it and he sat out the rest of his last game, his last bowl game, as a senior.

Well, for me, it's only been one day and I am still extremely pissed off about it, as are tens of thousands of Navy fans nationwide, even MTSU fans are pissed at him. All of that was 100% straight up thuggish bullshit. Like I said before, that jackass could have seriously injured Keenan Reynolds with that cheap bullshit, potentially could have ended the remainder of his college career and could have even ended his goal of becoming a Navy fighter pilot after graduation. Hell, Reynolds had to go to the hospital to get checked out and make sure everything was alright after the game, that thug bitch was able to get of his fingers into Reynolds' eyes.

His "apology" posted online by MTSU today even read like PR bullshit and was nothing but excuses. "It was my last game and emotions were at an all-time high". So? Emotions being at an all-time high in your last college game gives you the right to go around doing nothing but thuggish bullshit all game long? Since when the fuck does high emotions allow you to go after an opponent's eyes, to elbow a player in the head after a play as already ended, etc. Fuck no, those were 100% intentional and calculated actions. More like it was his last game, there would be nothing that could be done to him short of maybe the school finding some reason to kick him out of school altogether (can't be kicked off the team, can't be suspended or benched) so he took every cheap shot he could because nothing could be done to him other than boot his ass from the game.

I accept Coach Stockstill's apology. I don't accept Blunt's apology. And it's the same for thousands of other Navy fans. A lot of us will give Stockstill a pass in that he may not have seen much or any of what Blunt was actually doing. But Blunt and his bullshit excuses? Fuck no. He is a disgrace of a football player, and I hope every single NFL team, every coach, every GM, every owner, every person in every front office saw that bullshit. I hope that Blunt doesn't get drafted, I hope that he doesn't get signed, I hope that yesterday was the last game of organized football that he will ever play in his life. That thuggish sumbitch doesn't deserve to ever step on a football field ever again.

I accept Coach Stockstill's apology. I don't accept Blunt's apology. And I, and thousands of Navy fans, are still waiting for the MTSU president to make some sort of remark or statement about the game. Show that MTSU actually gives a fuck about the dark cloud that Blunt cast over their school outside of a couple of PR department written apologies by the coach and thug-bitch. Now, I have cooled off a little bit enough in that I'm not going to hold that bitch's actions against MTSU as a whole. MTSU fans, supporters, etc have all denounced Blunt and his actions. So I'm not going to hold the entire school in ill will. However, my perceptions of the school have taken a hit. At least in the near future, I'm not going to be rooting for or siding with MTSU in any regular season games or bowl games. I'm not going to be rooting for them to lose, but I'm not going to be rooting for them to win. It's going to be a while before my opinion and views of MTSU as a school ever turn favorable again.

What exactly did this dude do that has everyone going bananas?

An elbow to the head of a Navy player after tackling him out of bounds, later shoving a Navy player in the back, after a play was over, long enough to drive the Navy player right into the back of an MTSU player a good 5-10 yards down the field, and got flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for that one.

Came diving in at the end of a run by Reynolds, after Reynolds was already down and the play was being whistled over, and jumped right on top of Reynolds' head and started reaching into his facemask with his hands. He at least got a couple fingers into Reynolds' eyes as he was sideline for most of the rest of the drive by Navy, both waiting for the equipment managers to put a shield on his helmet and trying to get his eyes cleared up and be able to see normally again.

And then after a play early in the fourth quarter, a Navy ball carrier was laying on his back (had fumbled out of bounds) and Blunt, who was laying on the ground a couple yards away, basically crawled the distance over to the Navy player, plopped down right on top of him and just laid there running his dumbass mouth right in the face of the Navy player for at least a good couple seconds (could have been a good 5+ seconds, not sure), which the refs flagged him for unsportsmanlike conduct a second time and ejected him. Add in other minor things the entire game, getting in Navy players faces, pushing Navy players around after plays, making remarks or gestures to the Navy sideline, either Blunt or another MTSU defender was making throat cutting gestures after one or two plays (somehow didn't get flagged for them).

Essentially, if there was some dirty action that has been made before in football (sorry Jaymo, but I can't help but think back to the old days of the NFL and the Oakland Raiders), Blunt did it yesterday in the game against Navy.

Well yeah, it kept A&M from getting the ball and three points is three points, but they easily could have had a touchdown right there. Call the timeout right away after that run, leave yourself a good chuck of seconds on the clock, and take a SAFE shot into the end zone through the air. If no one gets open, throw it out the back of the end zone and line up for a field goal. They could have and should have had a touchdown there, but pissed away the time needed for one more final play before settling for a field goal with poor clock management there in the final seconds.

Duke just doesn't have the depth and so the starters get gassed towards the end. Same thing happened against FSU. Held with the Noles for awhile but the starters get no rest and they fall apart. What they should have done was ran the ball and the clock all the way down from the beginning of the start of the 2nd half. Had they done that and managed to not turn the ball over it would have been difficult for TAMU to come back. But some bs playaction rollout on 4th and short = turnover and then the 2 INTs late sealed the deal.

UNLV and North Texas had a humorous end to their first half. UNLV lined up for a long 50+ yard field goal. North Texas ended up blocking the field goal and a North Texas player had the ball and was running unopposed to the end zone. However, the refs whistled the play dead and said that North Texas had called a timeout right before the snap. :D

UNLV ultimately ended up missing the field goal short (the kid's career long was 50 yards, this was a 52 yard kick), but it was still funny to watch at the time, North Texas running a blocked field goal back and celebrating, only to have it not count because their coach called a quick timeout before the snap.

And while I'd still pick Baylor over UCF, I don't think it'll be the blowout everyone predicts.

I was sort of going back and forth, but ultimately decided on Stanford. They're a tough ass team, but just couldn't do anything on multiple fourth down conversion tries, even with Michigan State giving them the ball a couple times (be it punt, fumble or turnover on downs) in the fourth quarter. It was a damn good game though.

As for the Fiesta Bowl, I agree, it's not going to be a blowout. Baylor may be able to light up a bunch of Big 12 defenses, but UCF has one hell of a high powered offense as well, so it'll at worst be a shootout. And thus far, UCF has a pretty good defense too, shutting Baylor down while jumping out to a 14 point lead. This should be a good game. I was thinking about playing my next game in my dynasty against Michigan, but with the way this game is going so far, I may end up watching it for the rest of tonight.

Even though it would screw me, I wouldn't mind UCF winning. It'd shut all of those dumbasses up who were going on about how UCF and the American didn't belong in a BCS game. You'd think they had learned something after all those years of Utah, Boise State, TCU, etc. But nope, anyone not from the SEC, Big 12, Pac-12, ACC or Big Ten apparently doesn't belong there, ever.

SmoothPancakes
01-01-2014, 10:46 PM
Someone has got to teach these Baylor DBs how to properly defend the pass. My god, just hanging all over the UCF receivers. That PI penalty just now, damn near ripping the UCF's player's jersey off and had his shoulder pads exposed. Like the announcers said, Baylor fans can boo all they want, that was a truly legitimate PI call. The UCF receiver was getting mugged the entire way down the field.

SmoothPancakes
01-01-2014, 11:14 PM
Now Baylor is just shooting themselves in the foot. Stupid, stupid penalties. Left tackle, gets flagged for illegal formation because he didn't line up on the line of scrimmage, negating a first down rush and making it second and 15. Then on third down, gets flagged for false start and pretty much screws Baylor's drive. Then on the punt, an illegal shift on the offense. My god man, how many penalties are they trying for tonight? They're already up to, I think now, 15 penalties.

Edit: And in fact, going back on the DVR and looking at that third down false start, both of the left guard and left tackle went right back to lining up way of the line of scrimmage. Both the guard and tackle are lining up practically a full yard off the line of scrimmage. He's going to be lucky if he doesn't get keep getting flagged for illegal formation the rest of this fourth quarter.

SmoothPancakes
01-01-2014, 11:35 PM
Add in a personal foul now on the left tackle for Baylor, making that 16 penalties now tonight on Baylor for 120 yards. I don't think I have seen a more undisciplined and fundamentally absent team than Baylor all season. Other than having a high-powered offense that can chuck the ball to hell and back against over-matched defenses, how the hell did Baylor win 11 games all year?

I lose interest in American Football by the day and the elimination of the physicality, by rules and by offensive design, are the main culprits.

I have pretty much lost all interest in watching any game that doesn't include the Steelers or the Irish. It's sad, but I can see a day when I only watch my teams and only watch because of tradition. Agreed there. That whole crowd right there kept it together, even with her sitting there running her mouth, diving over top of them, kicking at some of them, letting her drunk ass commit all the physical actions that could get her kicked out or in trouble with police. It's one thing to run your mouth, you turn physical, lock her ass up, and those guys smartly let her commit all those dumbass actions while they just laughed, chanted, whatever.

I know if I was sitting there watching the game (I'd maybe glance over to see who the bimbo running her mouth was, but I'd be more focused on the game) and all of a sudden said bimbo was jumping on top of me or over top of me from behind, I'd be seeing red. That's an easy way to fuck up someone's neck or shoulders, having at least a hundred pounds of weight unexpectedly come crashing down on you from behind.

Just for that reason alone (jumping into the crowd of people) as well as the kicking, I would not have a single issue if someone in that crowd had slapped or backhanded her. Punched, depends, not sure if she actually crossed the high watermark line where punching her could be reasonably considered, but slapped or backhanded, absolutely.

Congratulations Ohio State, you're now the laughing joke of the entire college football world. Thank god for Michigan State winning back in the Big Ten title game. You worthless dipshits would have probably gotten ass-reamed by Florida State in the title game.

Good! I'm glad to see someone's pissed on that team after their performance tonight.

Despite the margin being 5 points, Ohio State had no business being in that game tonight. The only reason they were that close was because Clemson kept getting flagged, called for 15 penalties for 144 yards that kept OSU drives alive, and because their defense kept blowing coverage that led directly to at least two touchdown passes. If Clemson doesn't constantly blow coverage on defense and they don't keep sustaining OSU drives with penalties that result in a first down, Clemson easily wins by at least 20.

And in the process, everything that Michigan State did on Wednesday night to rebuild the Big Ten's image when it comes to big games in college football, Ohio State just completely destroyed. Once again Ohio State blows it in a major January bowl game (or as was the case in the past, national championship game) and the Big Ten has a poor showing in bowl games. The tradition continues.

Between Ohio State's play tonight against Clemson and Florida State playing for the national title game, congratulations Big Ten, you've now fallen behind the ACC when it comes to conference rankings. The SEC, Pac-12, Big 12 and ACC are all officially better conferences than you. Hell, give it a couple more years and you'll probably end up falling behind the American or Mountain West at the rate you're going.

And thanks to Ohio State tonight, now continues all the running of the mouths by college football fans nationwide about how Ohio State and the Big Ten have no business being in national titles games, being in BCS bowl games, or in the case of next year, being in College Football Playoff games, and how they fall apart and are inferior teams when they play "true" opponents from the other big conferences.

No surprise really though. The state of Ohio as a whole sucks, so the Buckeyes are just fitting in. The Browns suck, most years the Bengals suck, the Buckeyes suck, the Cavs suck, the Blue Jackets suck, the Akron Zips suck, need I continue?

Ugh. For the sake of the Big Ten, and for the sake of my sanity living in Ohio and being a college football fan, I hope Ohio State never makes it to another premiere bowl game or the College Football Playoffs. All they're going to do is continue yet again to embarrass the Big Ten, Big Ten fans, and the Midwest.

What's surprising is that the dudes around her kept cool. Typically one guy loses his patience with that shit and she's basically causes a brawl...good for them they didn't let that bitch get to them.

I would have been that guy especially if it was me she either jumped over or kicked. I don't hit females but when you start kicking me and shit you just moved up a gender notch and at a minimum shoved really fucking hard.

I'm not trying to make excuses for drunken houndstooth chick, but it is really easy to drink too much at the Sugar Bowl. What I have done, and I'm sure a lot of folks do this, is get up semi-early and substitute The French Quarter for tailgating. While I, personally, might or might not drink any more in the Quarter than I would at a tailgate, there isn't a bunch of (free) food just sitting around waiting for me to eat it like there is when I tailgate. Then, it's an easy walk from the Quarter to the Superdome, made all the more easier by the good folks on the sidewalks selling beers out of ice chests.

Again, not trying to excuse bad behavior. Know your limits, and all that.

I'm just saying it is really, really easy to let it get away from you when you attend the Sugar Bowl.

:fp: Yeah, alcoholics are pretty good at placing the blame elsewhere. You do not act like this in public, especially when you have children there. If they were being verbally abused, call for security.

Edit: It appears she has also apologized to the victim of her rampage.

I'm actually sort of liking this BCS Film Room on ESPN News. Still watching the game, but with live, real time Xs and Os talk from BC coach Steve Addazio, A&M coach Kevin Sumlin, Pitt coach Paul Chryst, Chris Spielman and Matt Millen.

Very interesting stuff watching them break down and talk about each play, especially the blown coverages on third down by both Florida State's defense and just now Auburn's defense. Much more interesting than listening to whatever the hell Musburger and Herbstreit are talking about.

Just wanted to say, watching the BCS Film Room was the only reason I watched the game last night. The outcome of the game was utterly meaningless, but watching that was, BY FAR, the most interesting 2 hours of football I've watched all season. I want this for the NFL Playoffs each game! (then I'd actually watch and give a fuck what happens).

I learned a lot last night, and I thought I already knew a lot. Watching three different current college football coaches breaking down and discussing every play, the different tactics, the different shifts, the blown coverages, the missed blocks, the reads that the QBs and running backs took as the plays progressed. Damn that was great last night.

I agree with you, I would LOVE to see them do that for every NFL playoff game. And I sure as hell hope they do that again next year for the national championship game (and both the "semifinal" games or whatever the hell they'll be called). Just as long as it's done more often. :D
