Gran Turismo 7 (PS4) - 2014?

Even with Gran Turismo 6′s release date upcoming on December 6th, CEO of Polyphony Digital Kazunori Yamauchi has already talked candidly of how the PS4 Gran Turismo will likely be Gran Turismo 7, to which he later followed up by saying GT7 “will be done in about a year or two.”

Shedding more light on Gran Turismo 7, Kazunori spoke to Top Gear about how the PS4 would make development easier for the franchise:


We don’t want to take too long on Gran Turismo 7. Best case scenario? Next year.

In GT6 we really had to tune the software 100 per cent to maximize the PS3′s architecture, but of course the PS4′s hardware is much better, so I think the overall quality of the game across the board will be boosted when you come to play it.

I'm on the fence about GT6. I want it for sure. But with a handful of interesting looking racers coming to PS4 very soon, and GT7 possibly as early as a year from now, I'm leaning toward passing on GT6.

Nope, it's PS3 only.

I think I'm still going to get 6, just not at release.
