I mean if you have the time you might as well play through it but I struggled with it. The 1st 2 were some of my favorite games and couldn't stop playing them, the 3rd I had to force myself to finish.

There may be hints on Uncharted next-gen (or other Naughty Dog games) on the web, but no one has found them (yet).

Naughty Dog web developer Jason Paul has hinted that fans should be looking harder online for secret information regarding the company's forthcoming games.

Paul recently commented on a Naughty Dog's website expressing his surprise that "no one has yet to find some of the secrets we have dropped around the internet..."

The comment was in response to fans requesting more information regarding both The Last of Us and Uncharted 4.

Details of the next DLC for The Last of Us emerged at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Uncharted 4 was teased last year in the form of a short video, though no new details have been provided since.

Last week Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann revealed that there is a 50/50 chance of developing a sequel to The Last of Us.

Naughty Dog also released a 90-minute documentary on the making of The Last of Us, which can be watched for free on YouTube.

Not surprising Stashwick would be replaced given that it seems he is a close friend of Hennig and followed her to EA. However, it continues the feeling that this game has some serious issues to overcome in development. It would be nice to get some good news in regards to UC4.

I just hope it's not overly linear and scripted like the last 2 were. I.d love it to be more open world like UC1, which also had the best story, but less repetitive like uc2. The third was just mediocre IMO.

And I'd love to see the health system from TLOU.

I really enjoyed UC1, but UC2 and 3 were kind of 'meh'.
Each game was simply, find open area/room, bad guys pop out, kill them, find object to advance to next board. Wash, rinse repeat.
They also fell in love with their cinema-esque production. That desert level where all you did was push up on the stick? Ridiculous.
I know what they were trying to do, but by that point I just wanted to complete the dang game. It wasn't like entering Mexico for the first time in Red Dead Redemption. THAT was awesome!

I'm really hoping that UC4 is like Tomb Raider in that they kind of reset what it's about.
UC2&3 were basically dungeon crawls.

RDR was awesome! I'd love to see another.

There's many rumours floating around that the sequel will be presented at E3 this year. I really hope so.
It's easily one of my favourite games of all time.

When the original was slated to come out R* said that every action would shape and mold the world and have consequences.
One example they used was killing the local blacksmith. While the town searched for a new one, certain items like guns wouldn't be available. Not only that, but the blacksmith may have a family and young children.
One of his kin may eventually hunt you down once they've grown to adults.
Another example was murdering an entire town. The producers said it could take weeks (real-time) before the town was repopulated. And even then, if you re-visited the site, some people may run in terror or try to kill you. In one scenario, a posse was formed to hunt you down.
In the end, it turns out the developers and producers didn't have enough time and resources to back up those ambitions.
But I would expect them to make up for it with a sequel on the new consoles.
I'm really hoping so. A Red Dead sequel is a console seller in my mind.

Saw several media people who saw the extended demo behind closed doors say that what happens AFTER what we saw at the Sony event is even more crazy and intense.

It seems like any concern that existing after shake-ups in UC4 personnel (ie: Henning & Stashwick out and to Visceral's Star Wars) have been alleviated.

CLW

UC4 on Gamespot Interview -

UC4 same tone of the prior games (not darker more serious like TLOU) - same humor/banter

More choice for players how to take on an area - bigger spaces

That driving scene there are apparently multiple routes to get there

Not Open World - "more open" - he was very quick to shoot down that this is an open world game

PS4 - allows for bigger environments than they had with PS3 due to increased memory

Real time cut scenes

Nathan Drake's FINAL Chapter - emphatic that this was the last game in the series

Evaded ? about whether they would use touch on DS4

1080p 30 FPS (solid) - is the target for SP

1080p 60 FPS (solid) - is the target for MP

stealth elements learned from TLOU

ND uses its own engine for its games

Took allot of time to change the engine after the change in architecture from PS3 to PS4

EVERYTHING in that market is destructible

Demo mishap was due to controller - ND wanted to show it live/playable/on stage

Easier to hit 60fps on a game released last gen with better textures. They had originally targeted 1080p/60fps but a few months ago had to back it down (http://www.gamespot.com/articles/uncharted-4-single-player-is-1080p30fps-photo-mode/1100-6428583/). They explain in detail if you click the link.

Here is a really good video from yesterday on what Halo 5 had to do to hit 60fps and things that take a hit in the process.

FWIW, I ordered the game waaaaay back on January 21, 2015 when it was briefly listed for $43.

Congrats, mine was digital so we have to wait until 11:00 tonight to play. Single player is 30 @ 1080p, multiplayer is 60 @ 900p. I have been playing enough Fallout that 30 should not bother me too much.

Amazon in Canada usually has slower shipping but they had upgraded me to priority for free. They actually shipped it out Friday night through Canada Post and their warehouse is in Mississauga just outside Toronto and sometimes that only takes one day for shipping to my house about 3+ hours away. With Best Buy it's usually better but this was sweet!

Just 2 hours in so far and they are called the Naughty Gods for a reason. Graphically the game is just amazing.

Up to Chapter 4 and the pacing is pretty slow after the first scene, limited to traversing and fist fights but it does so purposely and I think was a bit of a jab at those who make such a big deal about how many people Drake has killed. Oh and Crash Bandicoot scene was the best. The commentary was so good. I kinda dig boring Drake and Elena.

I got bored watching you get bored writing about watching someone else play a game. ;) As for the comparison... Tomb Raider copied Uncharted in regards to the action and gunplay and Uncharted copied Tomb Raider copied in traversal and tomb settings with puzzles. I like both and can't wait for Tomb Raider to hit PS4. Ubisoft just kept throwing AC games out yearly because the attractive, yet not too bright kids, kept buying the same stuff repackaged because they were amused by the shiny new bow. A series that should have started and stopped with Assassins Creed 2. If you need a pirate game, there are plenty on the PC.

I liked the first Tomb Raider reboot a lot. Waiting for the ps4 version for game two. I liked how the world was more open and I liked the rpg elements of upgrading your weapons and skills. But nobody beats Uncharted for story. There can be too many cut scenes in some games and some spots may be slow but it's a lot of fun. I will enjoy both!

Just finished it and it was a great ending for the series. It was also classy move to recognize the work Amy Hennig did for the series in the credits. Only found 15 of like 150 collectables but to be fair I played it pretty linear and did not stray from the path. Next run will be to explore everywhere and collect everything. Story was simply ND at their best. Generally I could give two shits about a games story but this one sucked me in. The amount of ways to tackle enemies in each section makes it worth a couple runs or even restarting battles. Not to mention some of the most aggressive enemies you will find in a shooter. Outside of Snipers, they do not stand still or stick behind cover and will flank you early and often. Way more aggressive then the AI in The Division, which I though was pretty aggressive. Stealth is a viable option, though it is really just finding another patch off grass to hide in and wait for someone to come close.

Bring on the single player DLC and then a long wait for The Last of Us 2 or whatever they plan to call it. Would love to see Naughty dog make an open world game in the future.

End game spoilers.

Biggest disappointment was the boss fight being another QTE battle of hitting two buttons. The other was how they handled Nadine. She played too big of a part to let her story arc end with her just saying "Fuck it" leaving Rafe and the Drake boys to die or not, she just could care less. That slap from Rafe alone was worth a bullet to his head.

That was fast! I haven't found a lot of treasures. I'm only on chapter 7 or 8 and I think I've found 8 of 105 (or 109) of them. Probably missed a bunch. I thought it was interesting that they added dialogue options once in awhile. I love Drake's character. Classic Uncharted at its best right now.

I still loved the first one so much although replaying it a few times the waves of never ending enemies did get repetitive in the first half of that game.
UC2 was liked the best by most although I found the first half frustrating with how scripted and linear it was. Stuff like going through a door and then getting that blocked to force me through and not allow me to go back bothered me at times.
UC3 simply had the weakest story and was too scripted.

I loved Last of us since it was linear but I still felt I had choices on how to tackle situations. I think UC4 has found a nice mix of story, linear but still some exploration with choice of how to take on things in what I've played so far. It really is playing out like an interactive movie but done well.

I like the rope mechanic even if some things stand out as unrealistic. Always having a rope around is fine for fun but I don't understand why they had some scenarios where your partner can't quite reach you to help you up but you can't just use the rope both of you have lol? Instead you have to build a rope holding structure to do it. Not a big deal but I didn't quite understand that design decision.

Finally finished Uncharted 4! Spent over 19 hours and got 46 of 109 treasures. (no spoilers ahead)

This was the best Uncharted game of all four imo. I think the pacing and open world aspects are done the best. The first one was great although the waves of enemies in the first 40% of that game got repetitive. The second game had too many small areas and both UC2 and UC3 really cut back on the larger open areas and constantly pushed you through. As soon as you went through a door a boulder fell and you couldn't go back. UC4 is much more relaxed in this area. They have larger areas to explore and I don't feel like the developers are prodding me with a stick to move forward. I had freedom to go back and explore and tackle areas in different ways. There weren't a ton of puzzles but a normal amount. Many I could figure out although I did look up help on a couple.

Of course there are tons of cut scenes and a very good story. I enjoyed this for sure. The classic gun play is good and the new rope mechanic works well. I think the enemies do a good job of forcing you to think about different ways to do things. You have opportunity to use stealth but it's not forced and you don't have to do it. The different ways to tackle things in a linear game are what improved this over the last couple games. Overall I think the difficulty on Normal is perfect and harder than UC2 and UC3. There were certainly some tough spots I had to get through.

The game itself looked great and I'll give this game a 9/10.

My family got this for me for Father's Day (early). About the only series I've played that isn't sports related. Looking forward to starting this weekend.

Just finished this. Easily the best in the series. The voice acting was perfect. Since I played the Collection right before this, Drake’s previous adventures were still fresh in my head and made the Epilogue hit me super hard in the feels. The game is absolutely amazing.
