I dunno if it is the PS4 coming in three days, but nothing strikes me as interesting for Black Friday. On top of that, I don't need a new TV, laptop or anything like that as I got two new computers (desktop and laptop) last year.

Yeah I have been UNDERWHELMED with the ads this year. I HIGHLY doubt you see any XB1/PS4 sales other than the buy 2 get 1 sale going on at Target and Amazon today. That's why I jumped on that one and got 3 games.

I went with Knack; FIFA; 2K +4 GameFly games + PS+ games and I should be good for quite awhile.

My nephew thinks PS4s are already sold out. He wants one BAD (we play The Show and other games together from time to time online) Little does he know that his uncle called home and told them to order now or else so he is good to go and apparently got: 2K; Need for Speed and Madden today from Amazon.

Picked up a couple PS+ cards, plus some cheap Blu-Rays as gifts.

Picked up a year of Plus and managed to snatch up a Forza 5 Limited Edition when Best Buy mistakenly listed it for $20. Plan to get a year of Live from eBay when it goes on sale tonight, and that should do it for me. November was expensive enough as it was with the next gen launch. :D

I have bought a few games/DLC on the steam sale , really I have purchased alot of blu-rays, finished off my kids shopping now its just buying gift cards for the folks thats left and I am done.

I only picked up a Skylanders Giant for $5. I didn't quite pull the trigger on Assassin's Creed 4 at $34. I may regret that but I'm too into NCAA 14 right now. Amazon.ca has it at $40 right now.

I just picked up the Blu Ray extended trilogy of LOTR on Amazon.ca for only $28.99. I'm not a super fan and I didn't own any of the movies but at that price it was hard to pass up.

1-yr of PS+, Skyfall on Blu-Ray for $8.99, and Killzone and FIFA '14 for PS4. Only paid $95 total for the PS4 games due to my coworkers Gamers Club Unlocked deal. It drops the games down to cheaper than our discount.

Yeah, that's a nice little deal, really. I got automatically switched over since I had the magazine subscription and that got canned. I may have to actually buy the subscription, though...20% off new games is really, really nice...especially if Best Buy continues the gift cards for preordering games.

This. Plus I'll take a physical blu-ray over streaming it from Netflix. Better picture and no chance of the internet screwing up watching it.

That, and god only knows how long Netflix will even have it on streaming. They add shit to AND take shit away from streaming all the time. Who knows, next time you go on, it could be DVD only.

Plus if you go somewhere with no wifi, you can't really watch it on the go (if it includes a digital copy or you have a laptop with a blu ray drive).

That too! There are plenty of reasons and advantages to buying the physical disc. For games, I'm leaning more towards digital only, especially now that we have to install all discs in this new generation of consoles. But for movies and the sort, I'll still take my physical discs every time. Especially since my laptop isn't hooked up to my TV. So only way to use Netflix is to have my 360 or Xbox One on and running the entire time. Whereas all I need to do is turn on my blu-ray player I got last Christmas and pop in the disc.

I'm getting away from buying DVDs. In addition to the streaming functions with the consoles, I have a PC that is hooked up to my TV at all times. Also, I'm kind of a binge movie watcher so streaming is usually better for me. But it's nice to have access to all the extras that come on physical media.

Now CDs, I still buy those in spades. Sometimes I feel like the last person in America still buying music on physical media.

Because I'm sort of OCD to AV quality when I actually sit down to watch a movie. If I don't care too much for the movie I will stream it, but I will only get DVD quality (480p) thanks to my connection and Netflix only streams Dolby Digital 5.1. I have a surround sound system w/ some Definitive Technology Left and Rights and Bowers & Wilkins center so the DTS-HD Master track sounds amazing. This is also why I pay for the Blu-Ray service from Netflix in addition to the streaming. I was highly upset that the Hunger Games Blu-Ray Netflix sends out only had standard Dolby Digital instead of the DTS-HD Master track that you get from buying the Blu-Ray.

If I go to the movies which is rarely, I will only go see the movie in IMAX because that is the only way that it will be worth my money comparing picture quality and audio quality with my setup.
