WHy is the site dead?

Like serisouly nobody wants to talk about the game the site has been almost dead and no strategy talk.

Because there probably aren't that many people actually playing it. EA hasn't shown any desire to patch or fix issues in the game (it's been two months, we've had one patch so far, which didn't do shit when it comes to defense or gameplay) and their idea of a uniform update is one uniform, four helmets and four sets of gloves. Yeah, doesn't exactly get my blood flowing for some NCAA Football video game playing.

I haven't played the game since '12 and probably won't ever again. Every year it's the same thing, interesting additions that, in the end, don't do shit for how badly the game plays and how poorly the defense plays.

last year guys put up head to head youtube videos at a decent pace. Doesn't appear to be happening now. Its all Madden. there could be a resurgence in February but who knows? I don't even know when I might get a next gen anything ?

it takes like 4 tries sometimes to get a random online game going in NUT or standard online.

the people who play normal are sick of the guys who can simply go 5 wide and get a TD in 3 throws. Its no fun unless your 12 years old. I'll still throw my hat in the ring but it does get annoying

I don't think the site is any more "dead" than in previous years. We always get a "bump" of activity right around release and then it slowly tapers off.

As for myself I'm still plugging along slowly on my offline dynasty but the lack of CPU defense is really becoming tough to ignore as I always have the #1 offense in the country in yards and points.

I still play, my buddy and I are entering year 3 of our OD, Tulsa is still going strong, he's Wash St and lost in the pac-12 conference championship this year.

I too am kinda nervous about the new machines, not sure if the "boss" wife will be so excited to pay so much for a "newer" machine....and it doesn't look like NCAA football is going to even be on the PS4, Xbox One...right?

I'm going to have a hard time convincing her I need to drop that much cash on a new machine for 1 game (Madden) and then maybe Tiger Woods and/or Fifa....that's a lot of dough for 3 games.

Maybe I'm getting old, PS3 may be the end of the line for me, I enjoy this game. It has it's flaws, but so does my original NES but I like playing it too.

I played golf the other day and met the manager of Best Buy here, he joined our group. I asked him about the PS4 and if he can work any magic and get us a good deal, he said it's pretty said how little of a margin they actually have. He said Sony is making a VERY strong profit on the machines. He said they do much better on the games and accessories, but the actual machines they don't make much at all. So I guess I'll have to wait for some hot deal or years down the line when they hopefully bring the price down some.

Call me old, but I think it's cool that the PS3 will play PS2 games, I like some of the old ones. I also enjoy the Sega Gensis, I still have one, it had great fishing games.

NCAA 09 for PS3 is one my favorite games, I don't see a HUGE difference in that one and this one, yes this years has more teams, i.e. South Alabama, etc...and it has more features, but it's still a great game...now with NCAA not sounding like it's going to be on PS4...I'm not seeing the point of upgrading.

I already did the "spiel" to my wife a few years back when I wanted to jump from the XBOX to the XBOX 360, then again when I went and traded in my XBOX 360 for a PS3...my main selling point was I wanted the newest, latest and greatest NCAA football game....now that doesn't sound like I'll be able to sell that "point".

Thank the lord for places like Gamestop that still sell NES, etc...games this means PS3 games will still be out there for a while, and used games are always cheaper. :)

I'm still playing, but not putting in marathon sessions like in years past. An old roommate and I just finished year 4 of an OD. We are having a good time playing on AA with sliders favoring the AI; usually winning, sometimes dominating and occasionally losing to AI.

I'm an older guy with a busy schedule too, but I've pre-ordered a launch system for the first time ever. I'm kinda thinking about getting the other one, too. I don't game as much as I used to but I use the streaming from the boxes. There are times when I use the streaming more than I play games.

I'm definitely in the same boat. I may actually make it through an entire dynasty. I'm currently 7 years in and haven't gotten that far along since NCAA 06. This is definitely the soonest after release that I've made it that deep into a dynasty. :D

I have got a few games in lately. Starting to figure defense out. Its not as bad as everyone is saying. Shuting down CPU on AA and holding my own on Heisman. Also able to shut down randoms online.

Exactly can be fixed with some sliders. The game is so good that people have to overrate stuff and complain about something.

Our online dynasty has died but it always does once hockey comes out each year, We made it to season 8 which is a lot of playing in that short amount time.
Once GTA 5 comes out I'm pretty sure that's all I'll be playing for a long time.

I don't know many OD's that are still going besides the most popular ones. To be honest, I think this years' NCAA could have been the best NCAA ever, even better than NCAA 04/06. Instead, it's relatively bad. It was great until I got a few games in. There's no defense in this game, man is bad, zone is bad, every running back (just like Madden) is Barry Sanders. It's crazy how many broken tackles there are from skill position players. I think some players think sliders will save you, but it only does to a certain extent. To me the game feels .. too sim, everybody has a chance to win in this game, and that's been my main complaint. There are people who are flat out better than somebody else, but everybody drops picks, & fumbles don't exist, it keeps people in the game. Blitzing isn't as effective, and there's barely a pass rush on top of it. You can go under center, and literally sit there for about 6 seconds without a defender touching you. Madden is just as bad for the most part, but its' saving grace is the abundance of defensive plays/formations to use.
