Fresh off some big games, some big upsets Saturday, and now it's onto a new week. Will Lane Kiffin be fired before USC's game against Boston College this week, or will he manage to survive to Saturday, only to end up canned anyways after losing to the Eagles? Taking all bets! I also offer Keno and Video Poker!

Some good games on this week.

I'll probably end up flipping between all three games at 7:30 Thursday night.

Saturday, if I stay awake after work Saturday morning, I'll be focusing on Tulsa-Oklahoma, flipping between the other three noon games from time to time. 3:30, focus will be squarely on Delaware-Navy, checking in with Alabama-Texas A&M during commercials and halftime.

Later on, will be going back and forth between Illinois-Washington and Ohio State-California while checking in on the other two games now and then, along with Weber State-Utah State playing on my laptop. And then to wrap it up that night, jump back and forth between Oregon State-Utah and Wisconsin-Arizona State.

So should be full Saturday of college football. :)

The only way I see Tennessee beating Oregon is of they play like WKU did and turn the ball over. Reading all about the game, just about every sport writers and such are saying the same thing as Oregon will crush them and I feel that's going to happen. But maybe just maybe, Oregon will over look this game. We will see!

I have to admit that it did make me thirsty for a Dr. Pepper Ten. Of course they used to wear red uniforms a lot which alleviated some of the fall heat issues and of course being called the Red Raiders it made sense.

That officiating was brutal in the TCU-Tech game, but not as bad as TCUs QB play. They may have backed into some correct calls, but I don't think they knew what they were doing. It all started once that damn fox showed up on the field.

I'm still floored Tulane won a game and on the road, no less.

Oklahoma just caught a break. #9 got flagged for targeting the head and was ejected. The ejection was reviewed and ultimately overturned.

But now Tulsa is getting love from the refs. The 15 yards from the targeting penalty gave them first and goal at the 7. Next play, pass interference in the end zone (it was a very questionable call, I will even admit, that ball sailed out of the end zone and I don't think a play could have been made on it), giving Tulsa another first and goal at the 2.

DB accidentally touches a receiver while going for a pick. Refs vagina tingles and calls a 15 yard penalty for no reason whatsoever. WR's are the new QB's. Approach with caution. Guys in booth realize how horrible the call was and player gets to stay in the game but the 15 year penalty stands.

Based on the last couple posts, plus my Twitter feed blowing up with dozens of comments, it sounds like something similar to what happened with Oklahoma earlier. OU player initially flagged for targeting and ejected. They reviewed the ejection, the ejection was overturned, but the 15 yard penalty remained (setting Tulsa up for a touchdown).

I'm guessing that's the same thing here. 'Bama player was flagged for targeting and ejected, they reviewed and overturned the ejection, but the 15 yard penalty still stands regardless of whether or not the ejection is overturned. They really need to change that. :smh: If the ejection is overturned and it's ruled that it wasn't targeting, then the penalty needs to go with it.

Seriously? :fp:

Time to go hunt down a video of the play. I'm sure it's already on Youtube. :D

Yep that's exactly what happened. :Alabama: DB makes a beautiful break on the pass gets their first and the receiver runs into him and they call the defender for targeting l b/c the receiver fell down like a pussy and the :Texas_A&M: bench bitched like a bunch of girls.

What a goddamn joke. :smh:

Thankfully, it looks like A&M didn't score and Alabama has the ball back. Now just score before halftime and take a 28-14 lead.

Manziel and Evans = National tittle run! They are killing Bama defense right now.

1st quarter, Manziel and A&M were able to do something. Since then, Manziel and A&M, especially their defense, have become Alabama's bitch. Welcome to the SEC boys. A new team to the conference, you caught teams and coaching staffs a bit a sleep last year. This year? They're ready for you.

The ass whooping is complete. Navy demolishes Delaware 51-7.

Here's a stat for you. Navy QB Keenan Reynolds throws for 233 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to 108 yards on the ground. Not only do opponents now have to try and defend the triple option, but they also have to respect the pass because Reynolds can chuck it whenever.

It's almost over. Unless A&M starts burning timeouts, Alabama is gonna run this clock for all they can, and either score to go up by 14 again or kick to go up 10.

Meh my biggest worry is "basketball on grass" team wins championship then EVERYONE and their mom copies that style and 49-42 becomes just an average game. I'm rooting for :Stanford: v. :Alabama: in the title game - two "traditional" offenses.

:D Stanford? They won't even win the PAC 12. You been watching Oregon lately? They tap that ass, fill it up, scoop it out and tap it some more. Spread option has already taken over and has even infected the NFL now. Get used to it because it will be around for awhile.

I think Alabama will get beat at some point. Tell you the truth, I think this year that there will not be a SEC team in the title game. Alabama's D is not one of the best that Alabama has had. I feel that in a way, the SEC is a bit down this year.

Edit: This OSU vs Utah game is a fun one.

Texas got stomped on their own field and once again knocked out of the top 25, so while you failed to win, it was not a total loss.

Yep. He was the starter while Bradshaw was forced to ride the bench for two years behind him. Had the talent to play in the NFL, but walked away from his final year of eligibility to spend more time hunting and fishing. Even though he passed up his shot to go to the NFL, he still did damn good, a multi-millionaire, a masters degree in Education.

I wonder who really is behind the company success. Early on in the show Phil says that Willy took it to the next level and they really play that up in the show as he's the stick in the mud CEO but if Willy never got involved in the company like the other brother would they have been so successful. Or is Phil really the mastermind behind it all and Willy is the glamour boy for the show

That's a good question. I think he would have done at least well, since he got the company started from the ground up with the Duck Commander duck call. Doing some researching around the internet, it does appear that the company really took off and became a multi-million dollar enterprise after Willie became CEO. But even if Willie had never gotten involved, I think Phil would have still pulled in decent money from it all and grown it decently. Not multi-millionaire levels, but decent money. Definitely, either way, NFL or not, issues he had in the mid-years (was a teacher, owned a bar, sounds like he used to have some alcohol issues), I think he still ultimately ended up good in the path he went after all is said and done.
