It always is. These trailers are always completely useless, thus I never watch them. Give me a GAMEPLAY trailer, then I might check it out.

Comes out next week. PS+ members get a few bucks off if they preorder. I did because this game is a nice change of pace.

Played it for 15 minutes or so and it's different. Beautiful game but a few things really hurt the immersion. Number one is the speed at which you walk. The tortoise has a quicker pace. I fear backtracking because it really does take a long time to get somewhere. Some say R2 is a move quicker button but I have not seen it do such a thing. Second is the 30fps issue. For some not an issue but due to the speed you move and how the camera pans it takes some of the beauty away. Standing still looks amazing, when moving or turning, not as much. There lies the issue, the only thing to look at is the scenery and there are bunch of things going on to distract you. Does not help I just did a marathon of the Wolfenstein games which are both brilliantly done at 60fps. While I always prefer 60fps, most of the games I play are 30 and generally do not bother me the way this one has so far. Third is how linear the game is so far and from what I have read will continue to the end. I expected it to a point, since it is a story based game but crap on a cracker, if everyone has gone to the rapture, why the heck can't I scale a 3 foot barricade or a bush. :D

Guess you gotta hold it and go for a few seconds before it kicks in.

Tried that and nothing. I have read where it kicks in more in certain places? Going to play a lot tonight so we shall see.
Edit: Apparently you have to hold down the R2 button for seven seconds to slightly improve your. Even the sprint button is slow as hell in this game. :D

This came from one of the Sony community managers, maybe this will clear it up:
I wouldn’t classify it as a sprint – it’s more of a quicker walking pace. To fully have in action, the R2 button needs to be held down for 6-8 seconds while you walk, and then you should at least see (and hear) your movements pick up – it’s a gradual buildup, not a sudden development. You’ll also need to continue to hold down R2 to continue at that pace.
The devs put it in there to assist with backtracking to previous areas you may have ventured through, but this is the sort of game where you’re meant to walk and look around, observe every detail, and take your time.

All I know is for the first time in forever, the framerate in the First Person view gave me headaches. Seeing quite a few people mention it. Done with walking simulators as the only thing to do is touch things and hear a story. Guess I was hoping it was more of an adventure, with puzzles. Guessed wrong.

I'm definitely not as bothered by it. Actually had fun streaming it for a couple hours last night. Looks like the sprint works well outside, but not inside.

So have you connected the dots to Obama yet?
