Is it possible to catch the ball in stride?

I have noticed that when a receiver catches the ball, he always does a stutter step.. The same thing happens on designed pitch plays. As soon as the running back receives a pitch, he stutters. Anyone else have this stupid crap happening? It is so annoying!

Yes. It is very annoying, but there is a solution. Turn the "speed threshold" to a high setting. I play on the highest at 100, and it never stutter steps. I'm not sure how low of a speed threshold you can go, though, before it stutter steps again.
