NCAA 14 Trophy/Achievement Discussion

Figured we could discuss "tactics" used for us Trophy/Achievement whores out there for NCAA 14. I set a goal to go for the :plat: by launch day so I might need some tips/suggestions for some of these.

#1 the Game Face Trophy -- Could someone post a step-by-step guide on how to do it. I've NEVER done that before so I'll probably screw it up.



Basically what I am going to do is pop in the game and play a 15 min game on Heisman with the sliders set at 100 to 0 in my favor with a team like :Texas_A&M: against the worst team in the game.

With that I hope to get most (if not all of the single game trophies).

Then I'll do the same only 2 min quarters and run the clock to get the Tire Fire trophy.

Then I'll probably try to whore out all of the RTG trophies. :smh: (HATE this mode)

Then I'll probably move on to the drills

Then I'll probably try to get the NUT trophies

Finally I'll finish up with 2 offline dynasties to get the dynasty related trophies.

Not sure I can get it all done this weekend but I am damn sure going to try. :nod:

I never go for trophies but I'm sure this won't be possible. With NFUT being a new mode I'm sure there must be achievements associated with it and NFUT won't be available until Tuesday.

Damn that sucks. Anyone currently with the game verify that NUT isn't available? That seems odd to me and I'm NOT looking forward to that grind so I was REALLY hoping to knock it all out this weekend.

It probably is available to those with a disc.

The thing is, EA never makes UT modes available on Season Ticket downloads.

Well I'm 10 trophies down now. I have all the drills on gold except Oklahoma D; Ball Hawk and Total Control passing. Those are going to be tough for me. Time for some damn R2G mode. :smh:

Meh I'm fine with it but my prob is the comeback and the sideline route (not sure what it is actually called). I cannot complete them to save my life and you have to be 10/10 in the drill to get the gold.

Total Control Passing last one left and I CANNOT complete two routes: (1) the comeback and (2) the sideline reverse "C" looking route.

Any of you guys got any tips (preferably in video form) on how to complete those routes so I can finish this damn thing off.

I was actually disappointed with the drills. I failed the total control passing once because of a dropped pass and the defensive Oklahoma drills twice because of missed tackles (hit stick is much easier to use) and that was it. I was actually kind of looking forward to the challenge. Oh well, I guess it's better than being over the top hard.

This morning Total Control Passing was a breeze not sure what was different but I went through it with ease this morning. Got all the golds also finished Roady to Glory (THANK GOD). Just dynasty mode stuff and NUT now so I think I'm going to actually play the game now for fun and try to find some good sliders.

I HATE the mode so I'm probably not the person to ask. I just played it for the trophies as quickly as possible. It seems EXACTLY the same as last year but instead of the practice field with grass your at the Training Ground but otherwise it feels exactly the same.

Well since Snoop failed to PM me the sliders he was working on I did some more trophy whoring Sat/Sun. If my count is right I ended up getting 27 trophies. I still need:

7 NUT trophies; 3 Recruiting Trophies; BCS Title #1 Class; Contract Extension and Heisman

Game is REALLY easy to whore out allot of trophies. Not sure how hard NUT is going to be but this :plat: should be no problem for any true trophy whore. :nod:

I hate how some of the nike skills are scored. Like not registering as a completed pass because you were tackled quickly.

Just a quick note. If I don't have a kinect how the hell am I going to get the last achievement? It's called the change your mind by using the kinect.

PS3 doesn't have that trophy but I'm guessing you won't get 100% on 360 w/o Kinect.

My response was partially true opinion and partially trolling Gator just because it's so simple and he's such an easy target.

Truth is, I really couldn't care less about RTG, about NCAA Football Ultimate Team, about Mascot Mode, about whatever other crap they've added to this game over the years that I don't even know is in it. Outside of a brief month or so in NCAA '12 that I was part of an Online Dynasty with people from this site, literally the only game mode that I have played in NCAA since the Xbox and PS2 days, is Dynasty mode.

I haven't played a true online head to head game since something like NCAA '04 or '06. Unless it's playing someone you know for a fact is sim from a site like this, odds are you're going to end up matched up with some cock sucking cheeser douchebag who is going to exploit and abuse the AI every way they possibly can just to get some meaningless win on an online leaderboard that will mean absolutely nothing in the real world outside of the game.

So as far as I'm concerned, online is dead to me in NCAA and Madden. RTG has been the same stale piece of crap it's been for years, so no point in playing it because I played it when it first was introduced to the game. Couldn't care less about Ultimate Team because I already haven't ever given a damn about Ultimate Team when playing Madden, FIFA or NHL in the past. So that just leaves Dynasty for me to dedicate 100% of my time to. Get a damn good slider set that makes the CPU competitive and makes the game play as fair and even as we can possibly get it with sliders, and I'm good to go for the entire year until the next NCAA is released.

It's in the RTG menu. No trophies associated with it except that it qualifies for popping the Heisman trophy/achievement.

Ah, that would be why I never saw it. I've haven't gone anywhere near the RTG menu in '14.

Man, you can tell that was definitely back of the box filler for last year. They add it, make a big hoopla about it, then the very next year, remove all associated trophies/achievements and bury it inside the RTG menu. :D

I'm currently 5-0. Learn to play the clock. Use the clock so that you end up with more possessions than your opponent because defense is horrific and you likely wont get a stop otherwise.

I've gone up against guys with stacked teams and had no problems with my little $0.00 spent 78 overall team. :D

I've spent money, but that's because I like messing with collecting and buying. But yeah, you just have to be paitent. Ball control, etc. Takes the east lobby fools out of their game.

That's what it's all about in a game only 12 minutes long. If you receive the ball to start the game, you better damn well have it last and be up by 7 heading into halftime. If you kick to start the game, you had better have the last possession of the first half and it better be tied at halftime.

Honestly, that's the only reason I'm 5-0 so far. I don't play the clock until it gets down to 2 minutes or so in each half, but I ensure that I'm in one of those situations. That way they're always having to score to match me. Once it gets later in the game, you can go max coverage and they'll eventually force one into coverage and if your guys don't drop it, game over.

Another little tip: a lot of players LOVE those corner routes, to the point that they wont even look when they throw. Cover 2 sink. A good general defense is Cover 2 Man if you're any good with user controlling a LB or S.

Just make sure you've got your offense down to the point where you know you're going to score touchdowns every possession, play the clock, don't make stupid mistakes, and you'll win 90% of those 12 minute games.

That trophy didn't pop for me either from Season Ticket with ODU. It was my alma too and I maxed out the Coaching skills thing. NONE of them popped.

Well I'm 10 trophies down now. I have all the drills on gold except Oklahoma D; Ball Hawk and Total Control passing. Those are going to be tough for me. Time for some damn R2G mode. :smh:This was probably already mentioned in the thread, but I just proved what a huge difference your favorite team makes for this. I had chosen my future Dynasty team as my favorite. I had tried the Acceleration drill nearly two dozen times. Tonight I changed it to Oregon to get Deanthony Thomas. First try, got it easy.
