Damn I must be getting old I hear MMO and I cringe, dammit I just want a game I can play and be done with it, I don't need to be in a "world" where others can play with me, it evolves...etc, etc.

I get the value of an MMO from a consumer and publisher standpoint but I am just really simple when it comes to my gaming.

IGN: The Elder Scrolls Online PS4 and Xbox One reportedly delayed by about six months (http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/05/08/the-elder-scrolls-online-ps4-and-xbox-one-reportedly-delayed?utm_campaign=ign+main+twitter&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social).

The Elder Scrolls Online may be delayed on PS4 and Xbox One, if an accidental update to the game's FAQ is to be believed.

"The Elder Scrolls Online officially launched on April 4, 2014 on PC and Mac," it read. "While it has become clear that our planned June release of the console versions isn't going to be possible, we have made great progress, we have concluded that we'll need about six more months to ensure we deliver the experience our fans expect and deserve."

Also included was a dead link supposedly leading to a blog post going into more detail about the delay, which suggests someone may have jumped the gun in updating the story. We've reached out to Bethesda for comment and will update you when we hear back.

The console version of the MMO was due to launch in June so, if this is right, we're probably looking at a Christmas release. With the game's first major update on the update, as well as continuing concerns over the quality of endgame, a few extra months to polish the game before release may be no bad thing.

The game has been delayed indefinitely for me as long as they charge a subscription fee. Of course with the ho-hum reviews of the PC version, we may never get to see it on the consoles in the same form.

From Joystiq: (http://www.joystiq.com/2014/05/08/teso-delay/)

As a means of making it up to fans, Bethesda announced a special offer that allows PC and Mac owners to claim a digital version of the game on Xbox One or PS4 for $20. The offer only applies to players who purchase the PC and Mac versions by the end of June, as does another offer that allows adventurers to transfer characters over to either of the console versions when they're released.

Been playing since launch. Nord lvl 20. The game would be amazing without all the other people running around. ;) Just playing it as a single player experience and I might try PVP down the road.

I haven't looked to see how to do PVP yet, just doing single player and I'm a Nord as well, only level 6 as I've been pretty busy. Love it so far.

You can go to Cryodiil (PVP area) once you hit level 10.

Ahh.

You still doing Destiny?

Ahh.

You still doing Destiny?

I beat all the House of Wolves content, the easy level of Prison of Elders and now I am officially done with Destiny. Too much of a grind. Easily the best shooter out there with nothing to do. The upcoming DLC turned me off even more with the lack of a new planet, which should have happened in Expansion 1 or 2 already. Now they plan on using some spaceship in it's place.

Sticking to Borderlands Handsome Jack collection right now for a shooter.

Back to Elder Scrolls, do you know if the DLC will be made available separate or do you have to subscribe?

Good question, had to look it up.

How can I get downloadable content?

DLC will be available for purchase in the Crown Store on an a la carte basis. DLC purchased on an a la carte basis will be available to you for as long as The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is available. Members of ESO Plus will receive complimentary access to all DLC game packs for the duration of their membership.

I did get ESO Plus for the first month to get some crowns and an XP bump for the first few weeks. Do not plan on extending it and glad to see you can get the items separately. Already looking forward to the two new zones that will be coming by the end of the year.

I'm still on the fence guys. Love the elder scrolls games but not a fan of the mmo genre. Plan on taking a break from mlb15 next week for batman. After that I will decide between this and Witcher 3. I figure between those and mlb15 my gaming will be taken care of until Nobunaga and Fallout.

I dislike the MMO part too but there are some really tough sections and it is nice to have a few players around at those times. I just turn off voice chat and pretend they are really spastic AI. Majority of the game can be yourself and I have just skipped the group dungeons so far.

Tried the Witcher 3 but could not enjoy the combat. Where ESO is fairly simple and tons of methods on how to kill things, The Witcher is a more realistic, difficult and kinda janky combat. Having to remember which sign and oils work the best for a certain enemy was a PITA. Most of your time is limited to his two weapons, the swords.

Just a heads up for my fellow Nord. This one was driving me nuts. If you try to head to the Rift early, well, don't head to the Rift early. Level 45+ greet you as you walk in. Confused me because I was supposed to travel to Eastmarch for a mission. The logical thing was to go through The Rift. A guild mission I actually got at around lvl 22. It was just brutal, might have killed one skeleton. Just keep going South and you will eventually finish the Southern most territory and have access to a ship to take you there.

So there are no spoilers below but this is a handy map that shows each area and the difficulty of the enemies for each faction. Also just FYI, once you hit level 50 (finishing the main story) you will be able to travel to the other factions. The guy is kind of kidding about Cryodil because this is a PC map and the PVP was filled with mostly veteran players (Lvl 50+). It is still level 10 but even on console you will be running across a bunch of 40's and 50's. I tried it but it was not for me, at least just yet.

Yeah, the map.

If you are 10-50 you should choose the non vet campaign where there is battle leveling. Choosing the other campaigns is just asking for a beatdown lol.
