I like to play driving games often, but lately most that come out on xbox are so arcade feeling that I can't stand playing them. Games that you can hit a wall at 180 MPH and get a small ding or scratch is not realistic to me. Also games that you can come from last place to first in less then two laps drives me crazy. There's a few out there I've found that are decent to play. F1 2012 is by far the best for players who want a realistic feeling racing game on the Xbox.
Reasons I like this game:
All cars have to pit at least one time per race, tires ware out, fuel gets low,
which effects the way the car handles.
Cars handle Realistic and if you hit something your car will know it
Things can happen in a race to all cars including computer cars:
Blown engine - Blowout tires- failed brakes- maybe more those are just what I've seen so far.
Computer cars will crash on there own without you having anything to do with it, not many if any other racing game does this.
24 car field and you may be having the race of your life fighting with 3 or 4 cars for 16th place
No money is needed to upgrade your car.
Random weather changes each week and is never the same at a track twice.
Racing Penalties, yellow flags, Red Flags, Blue flags and Black flags are all in forced.
Pace car will also come out during a full course caution.
So if anyone is looking for a fun realistic racing game on a console this one is one of the best.
