Temple week 1
Chad Booth DE 3*
* Height: 6'6"
* Weight: 295 lbs
* Hometown: Butler, PA
* Tendency: Balanced
* Top 3 Schools: #1 Temple, #2 Rutgers, #3 Syracuse

Booth is a big strong run stuffing DE, lacks skills to get after the passer but could be a rock on the line.

I'm going to be in for the long haul as I have a board full of 1* talent right now. I think I have a handful of 2*'s and a couple of instate reaches which are 3*'s. Nothing promising though as I was only in the top 10 of 5 recruits. Yes that is right, only 5 recruits have me in their top 10. Oh this is going to be fun.

Of the players that I was in their top 10, none of whom I wanted. There was a 3-star ATH but he isn't built for anything really at all. I'm doing the same as you, reaching for some 3-stars I want and finding backup plans in 2-stars that hopefully I can sign them.

recruiting with ULL is way different than with Da U in my other dynasty. Grant it, it is like that and I like it to be that way but dang not used to seeing 1* talent that I acttually need

LOL at 1 star talent I need. There are a bunch of those that are NEEDS on my board. It almost makes me cry when I look at my board, then my team, then my board. This is going to be a blast.

So other than Temple's [3star] signing, have there been any other signings of note? I so far have not signed a single player, however there are several that I'm close to signing.

Arkansas State signs their first of the year...

With receiver as a definite need for the Red Wolves, Cooper is an important signing. With this already developed hands, he'll see quite a bit a of playing time in 2011 with only four returning receivers to the roster (two of any quality). Arkansas State was his only offer.

This week i put all of them in a basket when i played Marshall. I won so we will see. I hate how there are some recruits that have low stars but big heads. top three schools are all major progams. None of them have offered u anything, yet i call you every week and you cant even put me in your top ten. Get over yourself.

Well, by the same token, I've been a major program trying to recruit a player that has MAC schools in his Top 10, and if I'm not in his Top 10 already, it takes an effort to get there. It seems like no matter who you are, if you're not in the Top 10 to begin with, you better be ready to work for it.

Which isn't a bad thing really, though I wish they gave the bigger schools a little more clout so to speak.

I'm still sitting at 0 commits thus far and I'm starting to get a little worried. I need a bunch of guys and I'm not joking. Hopefully this little streak can help out though sitting at 4-5 with games against Gschwendt and Pearice then Troy yet I'm going to lucky to get to .500 for the year. Fingers crossed I can pull a couple of upsets.

Which isn't a bad thing really, though I wish they gave the bigger schools a little more clout so to speak.Agreed. I mean, let's say hypothetically I'd been good enough in high school to get any offers at all (okay, REALLY hypothetical). My "realistic" Top 10 would have been MAC, small ACC, and I-AA schools.

But if Ohio State had come in with an offer, there would have been no other consideration.

D|C|C+|C+|D+|C|D|C|C+ Arkansas State loses their entire starting offensive line with very little in the way of capable backups. Mitchell will likely start as a true freshman; he received no other scholarship offers.
