It seems like alot of gaming sites for NCAA are on this OL/DLine interaction bandwagon. They say the line interaction has benn horrible(which it has not) so do you get this whole OL/Dline interaction bandwagon?

the line interactions have been one of the worst parts of gameplay for a long time.

Yeah, anyone who says that the line interaction hasn't been horrible clearly doesn't watch much football. I used to play on the o-line and d-line when I played football, I know what the interaction is supposed to be like. What we have right now in NCAA is nothing like how the interaction is in real life. The line interaction needs a MASSIVE overhaul.

Right now I would say that this is the biggest issue which needs to be fixed (or at least 1A with cpu playcalling.

Don't forget overhauling Special Teams. :)
I'm using Tapatalk 2 and the Cleveland Browns STILL suck.

THERE'S that 13 year old! Line interaction IS by FAR the most necessary gameplay update in my opinion. It's "survivable" only because it's never really been better, but it is what I would consider junior high patty cake line play. There's NO technique involved and there is no pocket integrity. A lot of things that they haven't taught your level of football lineman yet... LOTS OF THINGS.

Yeah, CPU play calling is probably #2 on my list of things that needs fixed, right behind line interaction.

Oh yeah, Special Teams. Ugh. That would be #3 on my list of things that need overhauled. Someone needs to tell EA to sit down and focus on line interaction, CPU play calling and special teams for NCAA '15. I would be a happy person to see that happen. And the game would improve tenfold if that happened.

This. Amen. Any player on the offensive or defensive line playing how they do in this game, would find themselves benched for the rest of their high school football career. Or at the minimum getting their ass chewed out by the coaches and running laps every practice.

The #1 gameplay wish list item for me the last 8 or so years has been an overhaul of the line play. Heck the O-line/D-line interactions in All-Pro Football 2K8 are light years better than anything EA has ever done and that game is 6 years old. EA Tiburon has to know how much impact a complete and thorough overhaul of line interactions will mean to the game at this point. I mean they have touched darn near every part of their games (some areas multiple times) while ignoring line play. No doubt special teams, CPU AI, and CPU play calling need serious attention too, but my #1 concern will always be line play until it gets properly represented in EA's football games. 8 years and still ignored that means you were only 5 kid when I wanted this worked on, bandwagon :smh:
Yep the OL/DL right now is just awful.

It IS god awful! Are we able to make do with what there is right now? Yes. But it is still awful. The running and passing game would instantly improve (as well as pass rushing and rush defense) with an overhaul of the line interaction. Instead, EA spends every year making 100 different changes to the running game or the passing game and all it does is throw a band aid over a hemorrhaging wound.
You just said you play DB, so while line interaction may seem alright to you, it isn't. Trust me, I played both offensive line and defensive line for all four years of high school, starting both ways for two yards, and played one year of college football before I boned my knee and had to give up the sport.
Line interaction has needed a complete, from the ground up overhaul for years now, pretty much ever since the jump to PS3/360, and nothing has been fixed. Whether it's because they just haven't bothered with it or because something in the code where it can't be fixed/overhauled until the jump to PS4/720, I don't know. At 8am, after being awake for going on 17 hours now, I can't remember if EA has every made any comment in regards to one way or the other on the issue.
But regardless, line interaction is in need of a serious, major overhaul and yes, it is god awful.

In HS I played DB too, but I also played QB and started both ways my senior season. May I just say, my O-line represented more of the NCAA franchise's look than the fundamentals and we won A game.

@DHook, if you watched the first round of the NFL Draft, you realize what the game is missing. That whole thing was about offensive and defensive line play and fundamentals and the "little stuff" that one guy does better than another that makes him a #1 overall as opposed to a #2 or #4. And then Dion Jordan at #3.
Here's the point, football is more than ever about the line interaction and EA needs to hop on the boat. I'm very excited about 15 because this year's Draft should force Madden to look at it, which in turn means NCAA takes their own page and looks at incorporating much of the same stuff. Write it down

LOL there is basically no trench logic in these games and it contributes to the biggest reasons cheesers thrive online.
Linemen don't recognize blitzing linebackers and are rice paper walls most of the time anyway. 3 defensive linemen constantly stop a run play with 5 or 6 offensive linemen. Its just disgusting :deadhorse:

i wasnt tryin to say it was good either guys. I just thnk its must be GOD AWFUL to call it horrible, thats all;)That's just a semantics difference then. Going forward, I'd suggest making that clear up front. Like the others here, I definitely thought you were saying it wasn't bad. I'll agree it isn't "horrible", but it could be considerably better. I'm hoping that the next generation engine will have enough processing power to simulate accurate line play.

As of 13' it is indeed "horrible". If it has been somewhat upgraded for the run game so that at least the linemen don't chase ghosts when there's 1 defender between him, you and the end zone, it may surpass horrible and move up into the "pretty bad" category. Until they give O-line some technique and leverage to either side (including the ability to run a DE around the outside of the pocket and lock in/lock out on a run play) and defense an ability to shrink the pocket and take on half the blocker with leverage it will be at least "pretty bad".
