We spend so much time on the negative that sometimes we forget there are good people out there. So I will scour the internet to find all that is good in this world and post something daily that the world is not doomed and maybe even get Mors to crack a smile. Share your positive news stories.

So today we have some teens that were not tweeting or twerking. They were using their brains to help a fellow student. (http://www.livingstondaily.com/article/20130505/NEWS01/305050012/Unlocking-independence-Students-create-robotic-locker-opener-classmate)

I have no problem with them going around putting money in expired meters as their own personal "fuck you" to the parking enforcement and the city, but this is where it goes over the line from good/wonderful to bad for me:

The suit accuses Cleaveland and five others of videotaping, taunting and intimidating its parking meter personnel.

The alleged behavior includes chasing officers on bicycles, shouting insults and accusing them of stealing people’s money. One officer became so stressed that he complained of heart palpitations and began having nightmares about the group, according to court papers.

You go from doing something good for your fellow citizens to being a bunch of punks and thugs.

Yeah, it kind of detracts from from being a "good" citizen, for lack of a better term, to being a Jackass.

Yep. The original act was great, going around and saving people from getting parking tickets. Hey, good for them, that right there is a great story to read. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as it could have been and should have been due to them being a bunch of, essentially, jackasses about it. Do the deed, leave the cards, save some people from tickets, feel good about the work you're doing and leave it at that. There is no reason whatsoever to go around taunting, harassing and intimidating them, chasing them around on bicycles, etc. Keep doing the good and leave the other crap out. Unfortunately the good their doing takes a big hit in my opinion of them just because of the extracurricular crap they're doing towards the meter personnel.

So my mom and I have been working the same waitress job for 5-6 years now. She had been waitressing years before, but this is recently. Anyway, about… 15 minutes ago this guy she waited on left and told her to take care. Just that. Prior to this she had talked to him about Italy. Her people are from Florence, this and that, and she said she's never been. She's got 8 years of art education and she's working a waitress job. It's pretty… Sad and disappointing, I guess. Her and my father divorced 6 years ago and she hasn't had a real job ever. Just been stuck in a small town she's not from. This man who we have never seen before tipped her 1000 dollars for a trip to Italy. Walked out, not another word.

D-backs draft ASU's Cory Hahn

ESPN.com news services | June 8, 2013
PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks have used a 34th-round draft pick on Arizona State outfielder Cory Hahn, who was paralyzed during a game in 2011.

Hahn, who wore No. 34 at ASU, was paralyzed from the chest down after sliding head-first while trying to steal a base against New Mexico on Feb. 20, 2011.

A freshman playing his third college game, Hahn suffered a neck injury colliding with Lobos second baseman Kyle Stiner's knee. Hahn was taken off on a stretcher and had surgery later that night.

He has spent the past two years helping with Arizona State's program.

Diamondbacks president Derrick Hall said he hopes to make Hahn a permanent employee within the organization.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

Not only is it big bad scary lawyer being a douche, he's being a douche to the little guy because the little guy used to run against the mayor (or whatever the fuck their "Township" has) of West Orange. It's clearly politically aimed and funny as hell what the attorney did.

Watched the end of the Tennessee vs Florida little league World Series regional semi's.

Tennessee's pitcher was a stud with a complete game thrown and a 5-1 win and their pitcher with a mob of teammates swarming him and jumping up and down calmly tells his teammates to "show some class".

That kid just made me a fan of Tennessee that's for sure!!

Lowe's employees come to the rescue of disabled vet with broken wheelchair

http://imgick.silive.com/home/silive-media/width620/img/northshore/photo/15371986-mmmain.jpg

In 1971, I stepped on a land mine in Vietnam and lost both legs above the knee.

For the past two years, I have been waiting to receive a new wheelchair from the Veterans Administration. In addition, I have been told that I am not entitled to a spare wheelchair.

On the evening of July 7, my wheelchair fell apart again, while shopping at Lowe's Home Improvement Center in on Forest Avenue in Mariners Harbor.

Three employees, David, Marcus and Souleyman jumped to my assistance immediately. They placed me in another chair while they went to work.

They took the wheelchair apart and replaced the broken parts and told me, "We're going to make this chair like new."

I left 45 minutes after closing hours in my wheelchair that was like new.

I kept thanking them and all they could say was, "It was our honor."

The actions of these three employees at Lowe's showed me there are some who still believe in stepping to the plate.

They didn't ask any questions, didn't feel the need to fill out any forms or make phone calls. Someone needed help and they felt privileged to be given the opportunity.

Lowe's will probably fire these guys unless they clocked out. :)

The VA will probably flag the Vet for making a false claim. Afterall, no need to waste tax dollars on a new chair when the one you have can be fixed with a few nuts and bolts.

Also, "Souleyman"?? Is that some sort of rapper?

Uh huh. I made that mistake this morning when I saw the video. Stay away from the Youtube comments, nothing but the typical dumbfucks of this country taking every chance to try and shit all over anything good.

Great video! Thanks for sharing. I know the police are always in the media and they get a lot of hate. That's a job I could never do nor would ever want to experience.

Coach Snyder is my favorite football coach.Agreed. There's a short list of coaches whom I would love to be able to learn from, and he's on it.

LOL. We are largely white but we do have a diverse background in Canada! And I LOVED Strange Brew as a kid. Don't even know how many times I watch that.

Disclaimer: I don't like hockey and am often accused of being an American as a result.
