It baffles me how an 86OVR Strong Safety that has 1 tackle in his most recent season would consider declaring for the draft yet my backup SS that's 88OVR with 28 tackles is not even projected in the draft.

I kept everyone but these guys:
TE Rufus Williams - 77 OVR, transfer
WR David Jacobs - 68 OVR, transfer

The only issue is I may have to move some people around now for a TE grrr. Williams was playing well and god forbid he realize that we just had the best TE in the country last year.

I'll follow that up with another question:

Why is it that a HEAD COACH coming off a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP at a POWERHOUSE gets offered an OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR position in the coaching carousel?

As dumb as it is, it's because he's 5'8... he automatically won't be drafted. Same thing happened with my 5'9 stud SS...

According to them, they looked at drafts from the recent past and then simulated results based on that... presumably, no 5'8 HB has been drafted in recent history.

If thats the case its funny that they use that logic for draft picks but don't use the same logic for recruits. When is the last time there was a 6'0'' 210 pound 5-star defensive end.

I also would like to say they need to do something about the transfer logic. I had a QB transfer last off season and now another this off season. I will be absolutely screwed if I have an injury now because of these transfers for PT. He would be starting next season if the dynasty were to continue but leaves? I could understand if playing time was high when he was recruited, but I do not think it was. Hell, make him transfer for some other reason, lol. Same thing with the FB. There is just a senior in front of him and he leaves. Really makes no sense whatsoever.

Escobar
04-30-2013, 04:22 PM
Happens all the time. Some players will transfer if they didn't get enough playing time that season. They don't care about where they are projected for next season, because that can change at any time. Look at Oregon, Bryan Bennett had been pegged as the successor to Darron Thomas for years but gets taken over by Mariota. Jarred Fayson, who at Florida got extensive playing time and was going to start the next season because Percy Harvin went to the NFL, decided to transfer seemingly out of the blue to Illinois. I think it makes the game more realistic and keeps teams from stockpiling talent, I also think they tuned it this year to make more transfers happen.

ryby6969
04-30-2013, 04:49 PM
That is fine, but it should be consistent with their recruiting pitches. If you recruit a guy that has PT or distance from home at most, then I can see it happening. It also is not as big of a deal IRL because they have 85 player rosters. If I would not have been able to talk my RSJR into staying, I would not have any QB's left on my roster because I have had 2 guys transfer in 2 seasons. That is absolutely absurd. It just needs some tweaking is all I am saying.

Position changes I'd like to do, cuts the CPU can do it because I should only have 1-2 I think depending on if the CPU adds any to me late. I've left the CPU do cuts before and they do a good job.

I get that players get jumped on the depth chart occasionally, but every one of my PT transfers this year were projected starters. Most had redshirted. Yet Papa's ridiculous depth chart rarely had any problems. I think the logic needs a tune, but not an overhaul.
