FYI I've been in/to that Federal Courthouse and like all of them security is TIGHT (probably as tight or tighter than getting on a plane). Most state courthouses allow lawyers through w/o a screening just by flashing a bar card. Not so in the fed you have to put all of your stuff on a belt it goes through a scanner and then you go through a metal detector and get a pat down if it goes off by a federal marshal.

Yeah, I've seen plenty from what seemed like constant bomb threats called in at the local junior high and high school a couple years ago, on a pretty much monthly basis for a while. Definitely would assume it would be impossible with a federal courthouse. I've never been in one, but yeah, I've heard plenty about their security they have in them, and have to have in them with some of the criminals that pass through the halls of those buildings. But yeah, gotta sweep the building anyway to make certain, even if it would be a near-impossible task.

Yeah sounds like he got out during the shoot out. Cop said they couldn't/didn't set up a perimeter in time. Kid might try to head to Canada now in order to avoid the death penalty b/c Canada to my knowledge has never given the US a criminal w/o assurance the death penalty will not be sought.

EDIT: This could also be a smoke screen in an attempt by the police to lure 19 year old out so they know whether he has a bomb on him or not.

Well, they've got maybe an hour of full daylight left, two hours before it hits dusk and starts getting too dark. After that, good luck. Once night hits, he could end up getting anywhere. Since its now known that he already slipped the police in Watertown and have an 18 hour head start on them, he could be anywhere in the Northeast right now (and definitely by tomorrow morning). It's pretty much back to square one where we were yesterday, hoping someone in the public sees him and calls police. Otherwise, god only knows where he is and when he'll be found.

Sort of upset now. I was planning on trying to knock out at least two games in my NCAA dynasty since I had today off work. But when I woke up and the police were going all out around that area, figured I'd watch until they eventually found him and see what happened, would he go quietly, go out shooting, etc. Instead, nothing happens and my entire day of potential NCAA playing was wasted. :(

Listening to the police scanner on the Ustreams all day, constant talking of bomb sniffing dogs, regular canines around, etc, and nothing until after they were supposedly wrapping up searching for the day and lifting the shelter in place orders. Now all of a sudden he comes out, while it's still light out.
