Recruiting difficulty

As mentioned in the Rules thread, recruiting difficulty is set to All-American. For those that may not follow the discussion on the rest of the site very closely, recruiting is considerably more difficult this year, even just on Varsity (default). However, Varsity does seem to still make it possible to sign guys above your reach which for SBC teams, signing a 3-star player should constitute a parade.

Additionally for those that don't follow the discussion, players that you sign will come in quite a bit lower. The top 5-star recruits will come in at best around 80OVR... the lower 3-star recruits will probably be around 65OVR. What that means is that you'll have to build your team up relying on upper-classman unlike years before when you could sign freshman that would start right away.

With that said, I'm open to discussion, especially the first season or two since people will need to re-build their teams. I'm open to any thoughts... even if your opinion is dumb :).

Hmm..but last year I had my STAR players coming back so it allowed me to have some recruiting blunders because I still had a good team

seems like more 4 and 5 stars are committing early...dont remember that many early last year

I took a gander at all of the 3-star players that you guys are getting; I have to say, I'm not really jealous. While their progression upside is probably there, their early impact is little to none. Most of those guys seem to have D+ or worse in all required skills for their positions. Like I said, they might have A+ for potential, but otherwise I don't see how they're a 3-star.
