I had one 13 years ago and just had another inguinal hernia surgery this past Friday :(

anyone remember their recovery stages ? second week, 3rd week ?

Had a Hiatal hernia (one right next to the belly button) repaired 10 or so years ago. Did it as an outpatient surgery and it was at most one week to recover. Mind you I worked on computers so that will vary depending on what you do for a living. Mine came back after 6 mo of the surgery and have lived with it since.

Never had it and hope I never do. Heard it's painful as hell. Hope you feel better ram. :up:

Last time was on the left side. This time on the right side.

dude, maybe you had not that great a doctor or specialist? theyve improved the technique alot since then too.

the hernia's only painful if you lt it go forever and develop complications of some sort. But it can be uncomfortable and distracting especially 3 inches below the waist.

If you mean after surgery,its not "that bad ".

but like my friend said, there is no such thing as minor surgery.

I had it back in 2007. The doctor told me in the 25 years of doing hernia surgeries, my hernia was the worst he had ever seen. I was in the hospital for a week after the surgery.

holly heck dude ?!

if i can ask...are you a big guy ? you let it go for years ? you never had pain or constriction or like strangulation of the intestin ? why was it considered so bad/in hospital for a week ?

I may have had mine for more then a couple years but it was a not so bad outpatient surgery.

come on dude, whats the real story ? If you dont want to say, thats fine. But I doubt youre some 50-60 year old wrestler....?
