Alabama wins the SEC Championship 35-21 over Florida. Turnovers were the big story as Florida had five and Bama didn't have any. This should be enough to keep me ahead of Boise, Miami, Texas and TCU for the national title game. GG CLW!

Yeah it is pretty tough. In the OD I run that's usually what we try to do but sometimes the schedules just don't work out and we go the 24 hour route as well.

BTW, big thanks to Chris for emailing me a walk thru on opening some ports on my router. I've had trouble virtually each and every user game and he and I couldn't connect at all. Post port opening, we had almost no lag and no problem (except for his Auburn squad finding some "shit the bed" bug :P).

I didn't get a 70 DT freshman to stay, only used 20 minutes, then tried another 20 minutes and he was out the door to Arkansas State...I probably didn't fulfill a promise :D

I am actually thinking about leaving this dynasty. It is just to hard to stay sharp playing with this team when there are sometimes 2 weeks in between games.

I agree, but from the midseason point of the season on we stayed pretty close to advancing on Weds-Sun. We had a delay in bowl season with steelerfan and I having some major connection issues and though those are fixed, I should have communicated more effectively with the rest of the OD what was going on.

I'll move to advancing during the season every Weds-Sun come hell or high water, but OD success is going to depend on members planning ahead when it comes to user games and other members helping me remind others to get games in. If you (any of us) see it's late Wednesday with 2 league members yet to play the CPU but both are on the PS3, send them a message. I'm not sure if we all have the e-mail reminders set up from EA on the Dynasty Wire site.



What timeframe do we want for offseason recruiting? I'd prefer 48 hours for each 'week' or as soon as everyone is done. Recruiting only takes 15-30 min and can be done on the web if need be, so we shouldn't take much longer than that. It would allow for someone if they have a busy weekday and evening plans.

PSU's D looks dominant in the early season. A week after limiting Mark Ingram to 29 yards rushing, the Lions pitch their 2nd shutout in 3 outings this year. Penn State permitted just 1 EMU 1st down and held the Eagles to -44 yards which included -62 on 20 carries and 2 of 18 passing for 18 yards. EMU was 0 of 10 on 3rd Down.

Gators defeat Auburn due in large part to 5 Auburn interceptions. Being -5 in the turnover department was simply too much for Cam Newton and Co. to overcome as Florida got out of Jordan Hare with a big SEC victory.

Miami beats BC 56-7. The Canes racked up over 400 yards rushing and 5 TD's. BC was held to under 200 yards of total offense though they had robo QB in full swing.(16-19 I believe)

Bama loses 2nd game of the year to CLW's Florida team 28-17. I lost my top two weapons in the first quarter. Lost RB Mark Ingram for seven weeks, and burned the redshirt for Richardson. Not really worried about it but they need to work on the polls for next year. I could understand if I had only played the ACC but playing tOSU and Texas made me take a double take when I noticed I was #2. IMHO, these sliders feel easier than last season's. However, I did do a complete overhaul in my playbook and playcalling tendancies. Other than the PSU slip up I dont think any of us have been challenged by the CPU and we are in the heart of conference play now.

I agree with that. I think the CPU tripped up Steelerfan, but he got hit by the turnover bug. I got pushed in a game or two, but had injuries to some key offensive starters and still won. I'll do a quadruple check on sliders again before we advance again and see what we can do.

I've been trying out different sliders offline and I've had good results using SECElite's base slider set. I did have to tweak the coaching sliders for all teams though which I don't think works after the season starts not to mention its about an hour long task! Not sure how they would work with the default coaching sliders. Most are set really high on def. aggressiveness which results in the hit or miss PA passes and all out blitzing on third down.

Anyone having problems with the servers? It takes like 5 minutes to download the dynasty and then after I played my game it froze as it was going back to the dynasty hub. Hope I don't have to play again.

On 360, I kept getting the servers unavailable message, but finally got in.
On PS3, the download went very slow and IIRC the Dynasty Wire sometimes gets the unavailable message as well.

I just had the craziest game ever. #8 PSU vs #9 Wisconsin. I led 34-0 only to have the CPU cut it to 41-38 before I eventually won, 55-38. The crazy comeback wouldn't allow me to pull my starters. Stephfon Green rushed for 434 yards (NCAA record) on 25 carries (17.3 ypc) with 6 runs of 20+ and 6 TDs. Sheesh!

EDIT: That might have been the longest I have ever gone into OT and it was an INSANE game from start to finish. I was thinking it went 6 OTs but apparently I lost count and it was "just" 5. In the end Florida failed the 2 pt conv to tie the game by a few inches as the Canes were able to stop the Gators short of the endzone to earn the BCS title.
