If anything, COD took inspiration from Killzone. Killzone has always been like that.

Also, brief game synopsis:

The game is set in a near future, thirty years after the events of Killzone 3. The world is a very different place; two rival factions known as the Helghast and the Vektans live side by side in a futuristic city, divided by a vast wall.

Tensions are high, and the cold war they are embroiled in is about to go hot. In the midst of this all stands a Shadow Marshal, you. The most special of the special forces, tasked with maintaining the delicate balance.

From responding to bold attacks, to quiet infiltrations or all out combat, you will be required to adapt and think on your feet as you have to face a variety of escalating events that could destroy your home world.

One of the developers confirmed in an interview that there is ZERO aim assist in the online modes. NOW I'm interested. Perhaps we really will get something like the incredible KZ2 instead of the pure trash that was it's sequel. Oh, and 5 minutes of glorious online game play:

Video was fine for me... may depend on the machine and/or software you were using. The article recommends Quicktime or Windows Media Player rather than VLC... it worked fine for me on my laptop with WMP.

Picking mine up Friday with the Target Buy 2 Get 1. I've already got Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts, so I'm thinking Killzone + Assassin's Creed 4 + Madden 25 for my Buy 2 Get 1. Should keep me busy for awhile.

If you're not doing much with it online, Killzone probably has a deeper story. If you're going to delve online, definitely Battlefield.

That's kinda what I thought. I suck at shooters anyway but if several of you are getting Battlefield it might be fun to listen to me :sick: while I'm getting shot in the head repeatedly. :nod:

Just be forewarned, Battlefield is an absolute mess online right now. It's not just the limitation of current gen, either, as PC players have the same complaints. Personally, I can't wait for Killzone (I already have it, but I mean to play it). It's one of the more interesting universes when it comes to FPS, so it'll definitely have the better campaign. It'll also definitely be the better looking of the two. It's online is more Call of Duty style, so if you play online a lot, it depends on which style of game you like more.

For me, BF has already started to wear on me. The lag, horrible hit detection, lobbies constantly crashing, etc... really get old after awhile.

I am most likely going Killzone, not BF4.......avoid EA when possible is my new motto :nod:

Seems Kotaku is doing the opposite of everyone else. The vast majority of reviewers say Knack sucks, they recommend it. The vast majority of reviewers say Killzone is good - even great, and they say don't play it. :D

Well no worries my friends turns out I get to :sick: to both BF and KZ as Need for Speed has a later release date at GameFly. My launch lineup is: (1) AC IV; (2) Knack; (3) 2K14; (4) FIFA; (5) Madden; (6) Killzone; (7) Battlefield; (8) PS+ freebies.

Good map design, good hit detection, dedicated servers so there's no lag. I'd be fine with stuff like that. However, as apparent with Ghosts and Battlefield 4, they're both lag infested messes right now, which is why people always bitch about them.

He's only 10 and these are violent enough without the other stuff. I wouldn't mind buying something cheap that we could so some coop but I don't think this game has it or Destiny. That leaves COD. Any suggestions? Is the offline story OK in this?

I never got too far in the story. Destiny is your safest bet for a story for younger kid.
