Michigan survives their matchup against rival Texas as the #6 Wolverines knock off the #2 Longhorns 31-24 in OT. Offensively, the Wolverines were balanced throughout the day as QB Bryan Weaver completed 18/28 passes for 233 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception while HB Jake Marks carried the ball 24 times for 119 yards and a score. Defensively, the Wolverines allowed too many passing yards on the day but made up for with 5 interceptions.

The most important interception came with just over a minute remaining in regulation. DB Dominique Wilson managed to snag an important pick on 3rd & long at the Michigan 38 and then returned it to the Texas 35. Armed with one timeout and needing at least a field goal for OT, Michigan managed to drive the ball down to the 5 yard line. On 4th & 1, Michigan debated going for the jugular to try to convert for the win but being at home, the Wolverines decided to just run out the remainder of the clock and then knock through the tying field goal.

In OT, the Wolverines started off and an 11 yard connection from Weaver to WR Tim Pittman (for his only catch of the game) put Michigan up 7. On the Longhorns possession, two integral holding calls kept Texas from gaining momentum. Even still, on 1st & 22, a QB scramble picked up 20 yards pulling the Longhorns out of a pit. On 2nd & 2, with their starting QB on the sideline from injury, Texas launched a corner route to the endzone but CB Thomas Torres captured Michigan's 5th interception on the day and the victory.

With the win, Michigan improves to 5-0 on the season and next travel to Eugene, OR to face the #9 Ducks.

Florida State overcomes three early interceptions in Tuscaloosa, winning 13-10 in comeback fashion. The Seminoles had the defensive effort of the decade, holding the Tide to under 200 yards and yielding zero points off the three interceptions. Two late picks by Seminole defenders put FSU in position to take the lead and then seal the victory.

The Seminole defense recorded seven sacks.
