Interesting that so many QB's are in the rushing leaders. User teams are SOOOO far behind the cpu teams in rushing it is not even funny.

I looked at the OL and TAMU had a LT with 54 Pancakes and the next closest user was thirty something. I may look at them closer later.

I am talking about career stats Jeff. Cpu teams are at like 6,000 yards if I remember correctly. I had to scroll down quite a ways to get to Marks.

Added player positions in the rushing category per request, let me know if there is anything else you guys would like to see.

I'd say add positions to all categories. Some of the INT guys may be LBs and the sacks one could be a mix of DL and LBs

I think the biggest thing there is that the CPU will always start the higher rated, older player where that isn't always true to users. I'm starting a freshmen this season, my other leading rusher, Jalen Overstreet, rode the bench early on, finally got on the field last year and got hurt for most of the season. If you look at my rushing stats this season they are spread amoungst 5 players: 2 QB's and 3 HB's

I also think a major reason is the fact that we have recruited guys that were already better as Freshmen then the default Fresh and Soph on the original rosters so they have not really had the carries. I know Yeldon is a RSSr and only rated a 91 so he is riding the bench for a more dynamic RSSo. I will be interested to see in a few seasons how it looks after we have nothing but our own recruits and they have gotten some playing time.

Completely agree, there was a clear difference in the way they rate recruits and the default roster. On the default roster I had several top rated freshman (rivals top 10 at their position) that were easily passed by recruits.

Yeah, I vote that if it is the same case for 14 we wait a little longer for a decent set of named rosters with adjustments to the Freshmen.

The problem wasn't really where they were rated, although that played a part, but it seemed as though their ceiling was lower. I've seen recruits go from 78 OVR to mid to high 80's the next year then finish in the mid to high 90's. Whereas some of the default roster guys are still in the mid 80's OVR as a RSSr.
ryby6969

Well Cooper and Yeldon were both rated in the low 70's on the default, as was Duke Johnson and Tracey Howard for the U. There were only a few teams whose Freshmen were rated well. Compare that to top rated guys at each position in the recruiting class coming in at low 80's, there is virtually no chance for those guys to get any playing time.

I hate using rosters with adjustments to the freshman, because it is all subjective at that point. There's not really a way to pinpoint what kind of impact a freshman will have on the field. If they adjust the true freshmen, they might as well do the same for the redshirt freshmen. Look at how Manziel was rated on the default roster...
JeffHCross

Fair point, though any roster with any adjustments is subjective. Also, to the idea that default Freshmen didn't progress, Mario Edwards was a default Freshmen, now 99 OVR, even with a position change. Eddie something-or-another, another DT, transferred from me to UConn and is now 94 OVR. I'd have the two highest rated DTs in the game if Eddie had stayed.
Though to the overall point, default Freshmen have always been underrated compared to recruits. Always.

The problem is with what OB said. When you have players that are top 10 at their position and they are rated low 70's but then the new recuits come in rated 10 points higher already. Most freshman on the default rosters have been useless minus a select few. They need to get the new recruits in line with the default rosters.
JeffHCross

It's a problem of consistency. I don't think either Edwards or Eddie were low 70s on the roster we started with. But, yes, there are plenty that are. It's part of a larger problem of how the roster are designed, in my personal opinion.
