LSU takes out Texas in Death Valley. The young Texas offense couldn't overcome its own mistakes despite gaining 400 yards, 3 turnovers and an injured Overstreet put the nail in the coffin, not to mention the rowdy LSU crowd.

Florida State continues its winning streak with a 40-14 victory in Tuscaloosa. The Tide kept it close at halftime, taking advantage of two late first-half INTs (picked off twice in the span of three offensive plays) by QB David Terrell. But Terrell shook off the cobwebs enough to lead a 5-play, 41 yard drive in 27 seconds, and give the ball to Beatty to kick a 51-yard field goal as time expired. I wish I had a picture of it, as it rolled around on top of the crossbar for a second or two before falling through.

Two plays in the second half though, the Tide quarterback was picked off on a screen pass, and after that it was all Florida State. The Seminoles defense ended with four INTs on the day, though most were with the game already decided.

QB Terrell was 14/18 for 133 yards and 2 TDs to go with 2 INTs. He added 96 yards on the ground.
HB Pender rushed 21 times for 166 yards, with most of his carries coming in the second half as the Seminoles tried to run clock and preserve their lead.
