Noles247 - JUCO Sophomore Steven Culp announced today that he is committing to the Florida State Seminoles. Culp is only a :2star: recruit on the current 247sports rankings, but sources in Tallahassee insist that Culp has impressed coaches with blocking skills that are far superior to expectations. He may even be a "gem", as it were. Expect Culp to sit on the bench next season behind two Senior guards, then slide into a starting spot as soon as 2018.

While the Wolverines don't know all there is to know about him yet, Smith appears to be an excellent linebacker. Depending on how his skills shake-out once he makes it to campus, Smith will either end up playing Right OLB or possibly the Mike. Either way, he'll likely end up redshirting.

Considered the top Guard prospect in the country, Raymond was eager to join the Wolverines and join a legacy of offensive lineman. When he joins the team, he'll likely transition to Right Tackle to put his pass blocking to good use.

Oregon starts off 2016 with a surprise early commitment from DT Steve Stokes. Stokes will redshirt next season in hopes of improving his burst off the line of scrimmage. While not the biggest DT, he plays with a lot of heart.

Noles247 - Tyrell Spurlock, who has gained message board notoriety as part of the Hot Springs, Arkansas, Trojans football and track teams, has announced today that he will commit to the 2016 class of Florida State Seminoles. Spurlock joins the Seminoles with one of the fastest 100m dash times recorded this year at the high school level. Barring a shocking assessment in the spring, expect Spurlock to immediate gain playing time in the defensive backfield and on special teams.

Drew's size and tackling ability makes him a candidate for Sam or Mike....LSU continues to build depth at LB

Clark reminds Coach Shirlee of Jordan Colbert when he came to Baton Rouge....Shirlee is falling in love with the thunder/lightning combo at running back....Steven Clark sure does bring the thunder.

Bama picks up 3 recruits to start off the season:

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Brown-16_zpsb6133c22.png

Brown comes in with one of the quickest first steps in this class. He has very good pass rush moves for a linebacker his size coming out of high school as well as the ability to bring the lumber whenever he attacks the ball carrier. Coaches are going to have to see more of him in the spring, but he could be a candidate to move to the middle, depending on where the next recruit ends up.

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Gipson-16_zps910cdaf0.png
Gipson comes in much smaller than the typical linebacker Coach Davis normally recruits, but Gipson showed too much ability for Coach Davis to pass on. Gipson has the speed to play sideline to sideline, as well as an incredible burst off the line. He is one of the best tacklers in the class as well as an incredible nose for the ball. There is a definite possibility that Gipson could move to the inside to carry on after Allen graduates after next season.

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Harrell-16_zpsa98a79de.png

Harrell comes in expecting to redshirt as the coaching staff needs to see how he performs in the spring. He looks to be a playmaker in a few season's for an Alabama receiving core that is starting to build some serious depth.

Noles247 - Julius Jordan left Tallahassee happy last week, verbally committing to the Seminoles after visiting for their demolishing of Tennessee. Jordan will fill a void at the MLB position. He could benefit from a redshirt season, but may not have the chance to do so, if the Seminoles continue with their 4-3 defense.

Other Offers: Georgia, pursued by Texas
http://i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac330/jeffhc/2016_Julius_Jordan_zpsb23919c1.jpg

Noles247 - Much like Julius Jordan, Brian Washington fulfills a hole for the Seminoles at a position of need. He will slide into the OLB position, though he may be able to take a redshirt, with slightly more depth at that position, especially if another expected recruit commits to the Seminoles in the next few weeks. Washington does not have the top speed that FSU coaches like to see, but he does pursue the ball well.

Other Offers: Georgia
http://i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac330/jeffhc/2016_Brian_Washington_zpsa18ba8a8.jpg

Noles247 - The top recruit to commit to Tallahassee during Coach HCross's tenure, Andrew Mays comes in as an athlete that could play multiple positions. Scouts have him pegged primarily as a cornerback, but his skills may be more needed at Free Safety. He may also be an emergency Quarterback if the Seminoles try to preserve some redshirt seasons in the future. Sources inside the Tallahasee lockerroom indicate cornerback is the most likely position for Mays, and it would surprise no one to see him play special teams as quickly as next season.

Other Offers: Georgia, Clemson, LSU.

Bama adds 4 more but 1 of them was a punter so here are the 3 that matter:

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Moore-16_zps1248cd89.png
Moore comes in as an all-around good back. He is fast with good size and the ability to shed tacklers in a variety of ways. He will redshirt next season and look to contribute in probably 2019.

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Carter-16_zpsbac8805d.png
Carter is the the type of cornerback that Coach Davis has been recruiting for the past 4 seasons. 6 foot tall with speed and excellent coverage skills. Carter will probably redshirt next season to work on his stiff hips and will hopefully become a one of the best corners in the country in a few seasons. (I love my La pipeline Papa, ;))

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Alford-16_zpsd99f6bd2.png
Alford is another 6 foot defensive back to join the fold for the Tide. He is extremely good in zone coverage, and could possibly see a move to FS depending on how the rest of the class shakes out. Coach Davis thinks he could be an elite FS in the future with his speed, zone coverage abilities, and play recognition.

We're half way through the NCAA 13 season and we're 4.5 seasons in. Sans last week we've actually been going at a faster pace than we were earlier. I could see us getting 4-6 more seasons in if we keep up with the current pace.

Wood is a perfect fit for the Michigan offense that often utilizes a HB/WR tweener as a slotback. With great speed to get to the outside combined with the ability to still make catches when needed, Wood will make an excellent addition.

Anderson was a monster interior lineman in high school. With excellent strength and run blocking ability, he can clear a path. He still has plenty to learn and also to bulk up on weight but in time, Michigan coaches expect him to be a monster at the collegiate level as well.

:Michigan:
Cannon isn't quite what the coaches had hoped for. Not that he's a bad defensive back, it's more that they had hoped he would be a candidate to replace All-World SS Dominique Wilson in a year. Unfortunately Cannon's tackling ability is lower than they wanted, however it still puts him in a position to compete once he steps on campus. Expect him to redshirt his first year but then afterwards will be in competition with other Safeties.

Much like Wood is a perfect fit for his role, Black is a perfect fit for another role as an X-Receiver. Needed just to be a player to move the chains, Woods is almost a carbon copy of current Michigan WR Justin Austin with ability to not only make the catch, but to break a tackle along the way.

While looking at Butler may not immediately excite coaches, if you look further, you do see that there isn't a single hole in his game. He is essentially a really good all around player. Perhaps his best ability is that to find the ball and get to it using his strength, speed, agility and acceleration. Coaches expect that he's just a player waiting to explode at the next level. He'll redshirt as a Freshman but after that, the coaches will keep a close eye on him to see what he can do.

:LSU: adds 7 recruits who have been scouted at 100%....

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/daddy2002/TEChrisThorne_zpse584b0de.png

Chris plays on being a "Thorne" to SEC defenses throughout his career. Chris Thorone is an elite receiver at the TE position and has the ability to get massive yards after catch with his ability to break tackles and make defenders miss.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/daddy2002/DEManuelWilliams_zpsf01c3e19.png

Williams will line up at weakside DE for the Tigers. Coach Shirlee loves his explosiveness off the ball along with his elite pass rushing moves.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/daddy2002/WRSeanWalker_zps841fb319.png

Walker allows LSU to continue to build depth at the WR position. Explosive athlete who has the luxury to develop and become a major threat in the Tiger offense once he's a redshirt junior.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/daddy2002/MLBLionelPace_zps7e5b36f8.png

Pace will be moved to the outside....Coach Shirlee loves his ability to pursue the ball and with development....could definitely become a stud OLB.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/daddy2002/DEAdamAllen_zps3d900e9d.png

Coach Shirlee continues to try to keep 2 starting defensive lines on the LSU roster. Allen has the luxury of redshirting to continue to improve.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/daddy2002/TMattMartin_zpsd04832de.png

Martin will play LT for the Tigers....Coach Shirlee loves Matt's size and ability to get off the ball.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/daddy2002/DTEdgarBritt_zps1ab2bd3b.png

Britt doesn't have an elite first step....but Coach Shirlee loves his size along with his ability to play smart football. Solid football player.

Noles247 - Finally, Florida State has their Quarterback of the future. ATH Matthew Parker made it official today, verbally committing to the Seminoles after a 20-for-25, 379 yard performance Friday night that also included 100 yards rushing and six scores. Just to show off more, Parker also intercepted a pass and made five tackles. While several schools' scouts were at the game, Parker made it clear to all the recruiters that he was a Seminole. Parker's elusiveness will make him an asset in the Seminole backfield, following in the footsteps of QBs Bryan Stephens and David Terrell. He is expected to redshirt the 2017 season and challenge for the starting job in 2018, while taking over as the full-time starter in 2019.

Bama adds a few more to this class:

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Franklin-16_zpsfa09375f.png
Coach Davis is not sure exactly what position Franklin will play for the Tide, but he believes base on what he has seen from tape so far he looks to fit in best as a QB or a big WR, mainly in the redzone with his long 6'4" frame. Either way, Coach Davis is excited to have Franklin in the fold the next few years.

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Flynn-16_zps932a0d89.png
With the Tide having 2 Sr DT's leaving this season, Coach Davis wanted to add 1 more to go with the 3 that will already be on the roster. Flynn comes in with excellent pass rush moves and a nice burst off the line for a man his size. He will redshirt next season and look to work on his upper body strength and be a starter in his RSSoph season.

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Morrow-16_zps8c5d1e6c.png
With the Tide having 3 SR CB's, Coach Davis has been hit the defensive backfield hard this season and Morrow is another example of this. Morrow is a tad shorter than Coach Davis likes from his CB's(5'11") but comes in with a solid set of coverage skills fresh out of high school. With a possible 3 or 4 more DB's to sign in this class that already has 3, Coach Davis will have quite a bit of work to do in the offseason to find a home for all these players.

Bama adds 2 more good ones:

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Jackson-16_zps4a5e0fc4.png
With Abrams and Jacques being Seniors next season, Coach Davis has been looking for a big bodied TE that can block like an O-lineman but also has some receiving abilities. Well, Coach Davis found one in the state of Ohio. Jackson comes in at 6'8", 262lbs with the ability to run. He has very good blocking skills already, so a year of redshirting will only benefit him and get him ready to see significant playing time as a RSFr.

http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac286/ryby6969/Graham-16_zps0c66ede4.png
Coach Davis was able to get Graham to come to the Tide even though he was really interested in playing for the Longhorns or the Wolverines. Graham has great upper body strength as well as being very athletic for a man his size. He will redshirt this upcoming year and look to compete for a starting spot in 2 seasons.

JeffHCross

Noles247 - Florida State secured the commitment of Strong Safety Donald McDonald (whose name will almost certainly be changed) today. McDonald slid under the radar as a 3-star prospect, including no attention from his home state Crimson Tide. But McDonald, who will likely switch to Free Safety and play a centerfielder role, will be welcome to Tallahassee as a long-term project recruit.

Exactly :D

I don't expect to need him for a couple more seasons though.

:LSU: adds 3 more recruits that have been scouted 100%....

LSU continues to add depth at LB....Cox will either play Mike or Sam for the Tigers. Coach Shirlee loves his ability to get off blocks and rush the passer....making him a perfect fit for the 3-4 on the outside.

Coach Shirlee loves his offensive linemen that are explosive off the ball and can run block....Wade fits perfectly. The newly acquired Florida pipeline gives the Tigers a gem.

Barrow doesn't fit Coach Shirlee's style of offensive lineman....but this kid has great athleticism and can play all 3 positions. Coach Shirlee and his staff have worked very hard to develop relationships in Florida & California to add to their Texas pipeline....they are receiving the fruits of their labor.

A lot of late movement with some schools filling their classes and others having late top-tier signees.

No CPU team has more than 12 signees (UCF, Florida, Duke).

EDIT: Which means Florida has not signed anyone since Week 6. :fp: :smh:
