Florida State dominates Florida, 62-14. Florida kept it close early, taking an early 7-0 lead and holding it to 14-7 in the first quarter. With three minutes to go in the first half, FSU only led 21-14. But Florida State scored an unanswered 41 points the rest of the way.

QB Bryan Stephens is a perfect 12-12 for 150 yards and 1 TD, plus 11 rushes for 169 yards and 2 TDs. Stephens also added a pass defended late when he found himself on the 2nd string Dime package (:fp:).

HB Pender and backup QB Winston also broke the century mark in rushing, with 136 and 104 yards respectively, combining for four TDs.

Michigan beats Ohio State 28-27 in very ugly fashion.

Coming into the game, Michigan QB Kevin Jones had thrown 3 interceptions on the season. After the game is a completely different story. Despite only throwing 6 incompletions on the day, 5 of those were interceptions. Much of that came due to forcing passes but as well, the Ohio State defense were just making plays and throwing defensive alignments at Jones that he rarely sees. Sadly in most situations, there was no need to force a pass... they weren't on 3rd & long, they weren't when the Wolverines were down big. That's not to say he didn't have his sparks... he completed 14/20 pass attempts for 249 yards through the air with 4 touchdowns to offset the 5 interceptions. It was just one player trying to put the entire team on his back and his legs buckled.

Thankfully though, there were plays to be made by the Wolverines both offensively and defensively. Perhaps the play that turned it around for Michigan was in the first half with just 2 seconds remaining when Jones connected on a streak pattern to WR Brandon Thompson up the sideline from 43 yards out. That narrowed the gap from 17-0 to 17-7 going into the lockerroom.

As a result, the Wolverines had an electric 3rd quarter rattling off 21 points and ultimately taking the 28-24 lead at the end of three quarters. From there, the burden fell on the defense's shoulders and they came through. In the second half, the Michigan defense forced two interceptions. The critical of the two came on a drive where Ohio was driving with about 3:30 remaining down 28-27. Playing bend but don't break defense proved valuable for the Wolverines as on 3rd and long from about the Michigan 35, SS Raymon Taylor stepped up and grabbed a crucial interception. After that, The Wolverine offense managed to run out the rest of the minute and change remaining with the legs of HB Jake Marks.

With the victory, Michigan improves to 10-1 (7-1) on the season and hope to vault back into possible National Title considerations. However, before that can be settled, Michigan will have to travel to face the Oregon Ducks.

Ugly, but good game as always tex...
