Same here. I often forget to delete old PMs, and even then, some I have had saved since clear back in 2010 just because various topics that were talked about in them that I want to keep for future use (strategy discussions for NCAA, discussions on other games, ideas for future NCAA games, etc) or in the case of PMs with Darius, try and keep them just for sentimental sake for those who no longer post or rarely visit here (whether through choice of their own or other reasons). So I am almost always constantly above 150-175 PMs between those received and those I've sent.

Why is it that blogs have a 10,000 character limit, but a post has no such limit? In other words, why can I not take a post that I made to the forum and turn it into a blog? Why does a character limit prevent that?

He doesn't need an entirely new fucking thread for every single goddamn video/"tip". It is ridiculous. And agreed. If I want "tips", then I'll read the threads and watch the videos and read the tip of those long term members on this site that I know are sim. I'm sure as hell am not going to take serious any tips of someone who just showed up out of the blue last week, has 13 posts and sits there posting thread after thread of basic shit and calling it "tips". Man I used to LOVE those threads :nod: back in college though I admit I was one of those who didn't post in them but always kept an eye out for any "tricks" of which stores were giving the game out early.

Rather than people flip out I suggest things like: 1. go outside, 2. read a book, 3. spend time with family, 4. get some exercise, 5. Volunteer your time to help other less fortunate. Life is too short to worry about this type of stuff. What really blows my mind are the people paying like $100 for the game to get it on Friday. Just... buy... season... ticket...!!!

But like I said the other day, it would be one thing if it was close to the forum record of 900+ people online at once, or even something like 500 people. Hell, I'd even settle for 250 people.

But 100-200 people is the same amount that are on every day. Just because it's the night before the release of NCAA '14 doesn't make those 100 people visiting here any more special than the 100 people that were visiting here last night, or last week, or last month, or last December.

When it gets to actual numbers that make you sit back and say "wow", then alright. But just posting repeatedly that there are one hundred some odd people on the site at a given time is repetitive, annoying, pointless and spams up a thread meant for actual feedback about things on the site (for instance my conference logos request) or problems encountered on the site.

I don't personally know anybody that supports military action in Syria. I think there would be protests if Obama/Kerry weren't pushing "no boots on the ground." I found the Sec. of State's comments about "not going to war" disingenuous and insulting. That is my perspective as somebody who will participate in pretty much any kind of anti-war protest in my city.

I might use the word "hate" a bit loosely. No offense intended.

A couple years ago, I started playing in a band with a guy that I had known for a while from another forum. He always called me by my screen name from that board. He just couldn't break the habit, even after I asked him to use my real name. I hated it.

When I was picking screen names in my early 20s, I didn't expect to be stuck with them in my late 30s.

With today's announcement perhaps we should discuss ways to keep the site "relevant". Contrary to what many of you may think I enjoy posting here and "like" just about everyone that post even remotely frequently at the site.

Perhaps just a "General Videogames" forum to discuss any/all genres of video games? I for one have ventured out allot more the last few years with different games thanks to GameFly and now find myself enjoying many of these titles even more than the sports games that I grew up playing almost exclusively.
