Done my share and dhook's share of real tailgaiting......it is about the company you keep, the laughs, the beer and the games............I don't post anywhere else and only glance at a couple of other gaming sites. This is the place for me even without EA.........btw I was done with em before they announced the series end. Just not a company I want to support for now at least.

We've talked in the past about some options in case NCAA were to go away or on hiatus. I think we have some ideas on what to do, but we are not going to instantly flip the site 96 hours after this news.

Currently, our take is that the game could return at a later date and time (perhaps CFB 16). It hinges on O'Bannon v. NCAA and anything that results from that case. However, that case could take years to be resolved.

In the meantime, we will expand other video game coverage & news within the forums, but no immediate changes to the front page.

It'll be playable well after next summer. I don't remember EA going the route of 2K and shutting down the servers only one year after release when the next game releases. I don't really see any reason why EA wouldn't leave the servers up for a while, until the numbers of people playing online eventually drop to where it's not worth the cost of keeping the servers going. Until then, no reason really to turn them off.

'14 will be the last game for at least the next year or two (if ever), so leave the servers running and let people keep playing online and doing their ODs. As for me, whether they eventually kill the servers or not, it won't matter one damn bit to me, as I'll keep on plowing ahead with my offline dynasty.

I still play NCAA BASKETBALL 10 every April/May. I agree that NCAA 14 can be viable for a long while to come.

16 ain't happening unless the NCAA folds and/or the big boys leave and form some other association. This litigation will prob still be ongoing in 2017 (assuming it goes all the way up to SCOTUS). I suspect by that time they will need a year or 2 at best to get a team together and get the series back up and running.

Around the time of PS5 and XB2 you could see a college game again but if you really want it to return your rooting for (1) NCAA to allow paying players or (2) NCAA Collapses; (3) Big Boys Leave NCAA and form new league.

That's probably the only way we see the series return and I'm not holding my breath.

if you make a game play and look well on the new systems I don't for care or need an official college game. There will be a football game of some sort from someone within the year or 2

With a little over a month to go until release of ps4 maybe we need a next gen poll question??? Something like have your pre-order ps4? who you pre-ordered xbox 1? will you pick up a next gen system after release? will you buy a next gen system within one calendar year? Are you not upgrading?

It would be interesting to see in one thread what everyones plans are, especially after the ncaa heartbreak.

Yep. Enabling HTML code has been requested multiple times ever since this site first opened up. It has been denied every time, it will always be denied. That's why I completely skipped anything to do with HTML with my dynasty and completely designed it with BB code and tables.

When you install vBulletin, HTML is turned off by default, there is a reason for that. I could give you plenty of explanations but you have Google.

Now if you are interested in HTML simply to make box scores for dynasty games, there is a fairly simple way to do so.

Use OS entry form. (you do not have to be a member to use this)

Bring up page with image, make sure all your stats are showing on the screen (also limit the stats to fit the screen - too much info will double the amount of time and images used).

HOLD CTRL + SHIFT + PRINT SCREEN to capture the screen as you are looking at it.

OPEN MS Paint Select Paste Find the CROP option. Use it to trim out the stats. Then use CUT.

Now once you have cut the image, create new image and don't save old one when the prompt comes out (now this next part is because Paint sucks) BEFORE you paste the new image in... Re-size the image and use the option for pixels and make it something small like 10 and 10. Then paste image. Save image and then go to imgur.com upload image from computer - start upload - when done right click on image - view image

SC I don't think we have ever played anything together other than Madden. I'm much better at NCAA/Madden than I am slicing shots all over the place on Simulation mode on Tiger. :nod:

For the first example, if I were livestreaming, you would see the stream plus the chat room for the channel.
For the second example, if I tell it to archive the video on twitch, I can set the video ID (from the url) and my twitch account name and it will embed the archived video.


Feel free to give me any feedback, specifically whether you would want the chat embedded or not.

It almost certainly won't work... I think it will just show the bbcode. That said, you may be able to then open that particular post in browser (through shortcut in Tapatalk) and watch it that way...

While I've tinkered around with Twitch (and whatever the other site is), I've never really used them for any great effect, so I pretty much just ignored that post. :D

I've added the Twitch.TV profile field. If you edit your profile and add your twitch account name, it will show in the left postbit like the Twitter, Facebook, & Youtube icons do. Only difference though is if you're online, it will show green and if you're offline, it will show red.

Not sure we're talking about the same thing. I'm talking about in the mini profile to the left of the post. For me, you'll see Twitter, YouTube, and the 3rd icon is twitch. If I were streaming, it'd be green.

What board theme are you guys using? Thought it should flow down to all themes but if you're not using the default, that may also be it.

I'm using Bullish v2, so that may very well be the issue. Hmm... Switched it to default (which appears to be the same as Bullish v2) and it's still persisting. Possible that it's a cookie issue, but doesn't appear to be.

Something else to note Tommy - I don't see that Online Dynasty icon that you are showing in your screenshot of your mini-profile. I did switch over to Firefox from Chrome and that doesn't fix it either so I don't think it's browser specific.

Yeah... the Online Dynasties thing is something I was tinkering with before but it's not necessarily ready for public consumption. Though with NCAA going away, I doubt I spend too much more time on it.
