Scouts were sent out to watch McCoy in during fall camp, however the laptop that the scout stored his notes on was stolen, never to be seen again. The vague recollection of the scout says he thinks the guy has much better skills than initially thought but he couldn't say for certain. Regardless though, OL is a need not for next year but rather for 2017 and beyond. As a result, McCoy will almost certainly redshirt to build up whatever skills he may have. Or who knows, maybe he starts :)

While not a need for next year, Offensive Line was a big target for this year as the Wolverines always want to build depth. In that regard, Martin is a major signing for the future as he comes in with already developed skills and only the possibility to improve by the time he's called upon in 2017.

While a bit shorter than ideal, Darby is a bull of a Quarterback in high school. He runs blasts all day long and then just when you begin to bite on that, he bombs one over your head. After redshirting his first year, Dan will have a similar role for the Wolverines as a change of pace QB in a Wildcat package but will still have the threat of throwing it deep.

Ferguson was sought after purely for his speed and acceleration off the edge from the Strong Safety position. Added in his ability to wrap up and make a tackle and his ability to quickly shed blocks from opposing HBs, he can be a monster in the Wolverines' 3-3-5 defense. Expect him to probably contribute right away though there is the possibility of him redshirting in order to get an extra year out of him.

Charles is a man-beast built from the fires of the nearby Mole Hill volcano in Virginia. Scientists have studied him all his life trying to determine how he has the uncanny ability to grab something and never let go. Due to that, he can wrap up and make a tackle on practically any opposing player. Added, despite his lower than average speed, he does have excellent ability to cover a receiver. With a lot of depth coming back next season, look for him to redshirt to allow him to grow even stronger, but he'll definitely be called upon in 2017 as 2016's class graduates 3 at his position.

While not currently ready to take the field and cover elite college receivers, Baker has the athleticism to be in the right position to make a play, even if he lacks the football IQ. With the Seminoles lacking depth at all defensive backfield positions, Baker may find himself forced to play as a true freshman, though the coaching staff intends to give him a redshirt year.

And during Week 6, one prospect surprised FSU coaches with an instant commitment:

Florida State slips past the border into Texas and comes away with a good one. Despite his "Hard Hitter" label, Valentine enters college with some of the best coverage skills in this year's class. He also adds decent Press Coverage, Hit Power and Play Recognition grades, particularly compared to his contemporaries. Florida State can badly use him at cornerback, so it is unlikely for now that Valentine will get a redshirt year. Instead, he'll either be a special teams contributor or maybe even dimeback as a true freshman.

McKinley comes in as a man capable of many things. Most will immediately notice his excellent throwing capabilities and then on top of that, he has the ability to run through brick walls. To add icing to the cake, his excellent strength makes him a candidate to try out at other positions come fall camp. Expect him to likely end up as a bulldozer at the Quarterback position, though regardless, he'll more than likely redshirt his first year. But experts expect that as soon as he steps on campus he'll easily be better than his 63 OVR rating indicates.

Curtis is coming into Eugene looking to redshirt and improve on some coverage.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt52/psusnoop/CurtisDavis2015.png

Garrett will be looking to redshirt as well. He will have a great chance to learn the game behind some really good LB'rs here at Eugene. Garrett is excited for the chance to try and make the special teams squad next season though so the staff will have a decision on whether to burn the RS or have him take it. The staff appears set to make him use it.

Jordan is a fine prospect coming in this year.

Richard is probably looking at some multiple positions coming in next year. The staff will have time to figure it out though as he will redshirt next season.

Coach Shirlee loves Edward's size and physicality at strongside DE. Shirlee is looking to establish a pipeline in the state of California and he hopes Thomas is the leader of that campaign.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/daddy2002/WRMichaelDavis.png

Coach Shirlee struggled to find WRs during his first 2 recruiting classes, but this year's current freshmen along with Michael Davis....the Tigers will be able to add more 4 WR sets to the LoneStar playbook. Davis has speed that can stretch a defense along with the deadly combo of precise route running.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/daddy2002/MLBCalvinHines.png

Coach Shirlee loves his MLBs....Hines definitely has a nose for the ball and has the luxury of being redshirted next season.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/daddy2002/FSOmarJohnson.png

Coach Shirlee finally has the strong safety that he covets after losing out on so many recruits....depending on the production at the position this season....Johnson just might be an opening day starter for the Tigers.

The signing of Edwards continues the path of building an offensive line that will be able to play together for four years. Not only will they play together for a long time but they'll also have a long time to develop into the bulldozers that they'll become. Edwards will likely redshirt his first year but be called up to contribute in some manner his second.

Adding Montgomery to this class is nice not only from a talent aspect of finding a diamond in the rough, but also from the aspect that it gives possibility of moving a current CB over to the SS position. However, an additional target in this class may make that point moot. Either way, Montgomery has the skills to contribute immediately if necessary but more than likely he'll end up redshirting his first year on campus.

Meyer was a bit of a safety net signing for the Wolverines who needed at least one DE for the 2017 season. The Michigan coaches are still out on the road talking to other prospective DEs, as two signings certainly wouldn't hurt the class. Meyer has the ability to get off blocks and make a nice hit, however he lacks the necessary strength and may struggle at times wrapping up for the tackle. He'll redshirt his first year and will likely be in a backup role come 2017.

Thompson is a bit of an odd signing for the Wolverines. He's really good at some aspects of several positions, but then has gaping holes in other aspects of those positions. The Michigan coaches are hoping that once he steps on campus, they'll find that he has good enough blocking skills to play a ball-carrying FB. If not, he might find his way to Linebacker, though he would probably struggle for playing time there.

Like fellow 2015 recruit Nick Valentine, Kevin Graham will come to Tallahassee with some of the better coverage skills available in this year's class. His grades in both man coverage and zone coverage impressed coaches at camps across the country. Dunlap is an athlete with no position at FSU. He has the top end speed to be impressive at any position but lacks the agility or acceleration. He has the elusiveness to be a great runner, but can't hold onto the ball reliably. He is known for making spectacular catches, but drops the simple ones, especially over the middle. Yes, another 4-star CB from the state of Florida is joining Florida State. Unlike Burns and Blount, Bradford will be staying at cornerback, thanks to his all-around athletic ability. Bradford fell just short of the A-level grades coaches were hoping to give him for his speed and agility, but he possesses enough athletic talent to keep up with the best the SEC has to offer on the field. After only finding mostly uninspiring DE recuits, Michigan scouts stumbled onto Landry late in the season. Once they saw him, they knew they found the guy they wanted to don the Maize 'n Blue for the future. With nice height and good strength combined with this ability to get off blocks and make a punishing tackle, Landry will be a nice force playing the Left End in the 3-3-5 come 2017. Look for him to redshirt his first year on campus but contribute significantly during his second year.

Smith is the RB that the Buckeyes wanted. Nothing that jumps out at you but Smith knows how to get away from tackles. Smith will RS due to depth at the RB postion but will be a contributer next year.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/texacotea/Taylor.jpg
Taylor projects to be a CB but with him being 230lbs his speed and cover skills will move him to a safety position. He likes contact and is smooth on the football field.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/texacotea/Brown.jpg
Brown projects as a DE but hes a little on the short side at 6' His acceleration could make him an elite pass rusher but may move inside and be used in passing situations.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/texacotea/Anderson.jpg
Anderson is a solid wr and is the only TRUE WR the staff recruited after missing on a couple guys. Anderson is a solid route runner and snatches the ball out of the air. Anderson will RS and improve his game and become acustomed to the playbook his freshman yr.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/texacotea/Ralph.jpg
Ralph is a head scratcher, his coverage skills are good but struggles in press coverage. He is always around the ball and takes good angles when on defense but he doesnt like contact. Ralph will be redshirted in hope to find him a position.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/texacotea/Carr.jpg
Carr definitily earned his #2 DE ranking. He is quick, strong sheds blocks and tackles well. With the depth that the Buckeyes have they maybe able to redshirt Carr his freshman year which is a very good thing. Carr has the drive and the ability to be a star.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/texacotea/Atkins.jpg
Atkins will be a WR when he steps on campus, after breaking many Kentucky High School records Atkins is prepared to make a name in Columbus. He wont blow by you but catches everything thats thrown his way. He evades tackles like a running back. Atkins will be used in many facets in the Buckeyes offense.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/texacotea/Nicholson.jpg
Nicholson has a mean streak and accels in run blocking. Dont let the Cali kid persona fool you his strength is a specialty and likes to put kids on their backs when blocking. Nicholson may make the 2 deep in the spring but the staff wants to Redshirt him this year.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/texacotea/Lowe.jpg

For the fourth week in a row, LSU stays in the same #5 spot. Though this week Georgia isn't a mover and shaker either. Again, it's not for lack of trying ... lots of signees by the top 10.

Also, no CPU team has signed more than 13. Only five have signed more than 10. I think the CPU's completely conservative visit scheduling (often scheduling for the last rivalry game of the season) is a reason that they are non competitive with user teams. Because we've all seen that when a CPU team wants one of our players, they usually get them. The CPU is just not aggressive enough across their entire board (and, probably, horrible board management, overall).

DT
:Michigan:
Rouse comes in very raw and doesn't quite meet the expectations that the Michigan coaches had for him coming out of high school. That said, DT is a position of need for the future and after a couple of years, Rouse should be able to contribute if nothing else through strength alone. While his tackling ability is a glaring weak point, he will at least be able to get to the QB to cause chaos.

I'm considering treating the Week 5 rankings as "final" since so few of us are recruiting in Week 5 and the CPU-added recruits make the numbers jump all over the place. Ridiculous.
