It's almost always fun to pick out potential wedding songs, but how about a funeral song? A swan song, if you will.

Frank Sinatra's "My Way" is the most requested song at British funerals, according to NME, citing figures from Co-operative Funeralcare's chart.

In second place was Sarah Brightman/Andrea Bocelli's "Time To Say Goodbye," followed by Bette Midler's "Wind Beneath My Wings" and Eva Cassidy's "Over The Rainbow."

Adele has been at the top of the pop music charts for months, but her "Someone Like You" just entered the Co-operative Funeralcare's chart at No. 22. Funeral homes also get requests for Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody" and Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You."

The list was compiled by Co-operative Funeralcare, which operates more than 880 funeral homes in the U.K. The Top 20 pop songs that have been requested at funerals in 2012 are below.

According to the study, one quarter of funeral directors turn down song requests based on various reasons. One example is John Lennon's "Imagine" because it has the lyrics: "Imagine there's no Heaven."

A Funeral Director telling someone they can't play a song? Bullshit. It's a service profession, if you're footing the bill - they'll play anything.

I always liked some Andre Bocelli. Conversely, Tears in Heaven sucks balls and made me glad that Eric Clapton's kid was dead. Sorry, the hate for that song comes from having to hear it over and over (on repeat) for an hour-and-a-half once. Fuck that.

The good news is that Anal Cunt wrote a lovely tune about Connor (I think that was his name) Clapton as well.
