I'm not at all happy with Washington jumping everyone after beating up a 5-7 Cal team in the final week?*!?*!
Talk about some shady dealings in the BCS, oh well this National Championship game will forever have an asterisk next to the eventual champion :)

I'll be good for a Sunday offseason.

Also can we just skip the CC this year? save a little time anyways.

Bama wins their 2nd title in a row,(technically 3rd) by knocking off UW 49-26 or something like that.

Looks like the best time would be Saturday night after the Texas v OSU game, I imagine it will end around 11p central however. Let me know if that will work.

I am losing quite a bit this year. QB, top 2 HB's 2 of my top 3 WR's, almost my whole secondary and 2 LB's and DL. Should have plenty of talent to step in but we will see how it all goes. I have guys who should be able to step in a do just fine, but you never know. I would be shocked if I can get back again.

Michigan overcomes it's own mistakes to win the Insight Bowl 31-30.

Michigan QB Devin Gardner continued a rough patch of the season, this time throwing 4 interceptions all in the first half. However, in the second half, Gardner and the Wolverines' defense seemed to settle down ultimately leading them to a victory over Indiana.

At halftime, Indiana led 27-17. However, in the second half, Michigan only allowed a single field goal but added two touchdowns of their own. Their second touchdown of the half came with 0:42 remaining as Gardner hooked up with WR Jonathan Keizer from 33 yards out.

Indiana, with all 3 timeouts, only needed to add field goal in order to win. However, the Michigan defense stiffened and on 3rd & 10, Indiana QB T. Roberson was flushed from the pocket only to compete a pass to his WR near the sideline. Thankfully though he was pushed out just shy of the first down marker. On 4th & inches, Michigan had all of the Indiana receivers covered forcing Roberson to dump down to his half back. The problem was that the halfback was 5 yards in the backfield when he caught the ball allowing SS Raymon Taylor to come up and make the stop short of the line of scrimmage.

Michigan caps off a disappointing season with a record of 9-4 (6-3). This season didn't have high expectations for the Wolverines but a nice start set the possibility of something special. However, after losing to Iowa in ugly fashion, the Wolverines weren't ever able to recover dropping their last 3 regular season games.

Next season has similar expectations though doesn't account for the possibility of players playing above their means. Michigan Coach Rex Rodriguez will have more of his recruited players ready to play after a year of training, however they also lose significant portions of both sides of the ball including QB Devin Gardner, HB Fitz Toussaint, WR Jeremy Gallon, bookend OTs Taylor Lewan & Michael Schofield. Defensively, the key losses are DE Nathan Brink (11 sacks on the season), CB Courtney Avery, & SS Thomas Gordon.

Ohio State beats UCLA 44-20 to win the Alamo bowl. Miller continued to carve up defenses like he has the 2nd part of the season. Miller went 23-32 for 377 with 4tds and 2 ints. Miller finished the season with over 3500 yrds and 32tds while missing 2 games this year. If Miller opts to stay for next year he will have to cut down on his Interceptions as he had 18 this year.

The Buckeyes had a really good season compared to last and were 1 Hailmary, 1 fake punt, and a 2 OT loss from being undefeated. Next year should be much of the same if Miller decides to come back. The Buckeyes loose both Safties (FS Barnett 51 tkls 2int, SS Bryant 47 tkls 2int) next year and both tackles and guards. They will also loose 1 DE (Adam Bellamy 22 tackles 5 sacks) and MLB Storm Klien (47tkls 16tfl).

Offensive line is a big worry for the staff and will be monitored throughout the season.

Oregon staff was very very pleased that they were able to get virtually everyone that dressed snaps last night, and made sure all seniors got at least two drives to show how appreciative the staff and Oregon is/was to their hard work and dedication to the University.

Ryby & Escobar....I'm wondering if all 3 of us got a "conference championship" bonus in your coaching goals. That would definitely be interesting....I'm trying to figure out how they broke the 3-way tie.

Oneback, are we just skipping through the Coaching Carousel?

I'm playing a sbcol user game at 7 tomorrow night. Could probably push that up, though I only have 3 unimportant targets remaining that I'll likely sign in week 1. I could probably keep up and just pause the game to do week 1.

Oneback, are we just skipping through the Coaching Carousel? If you skip through the Carousel and someone's contract expires, it is automatically renewed? I guess I don't know the answer to that, so the idea of skipping the Carousel is ... uneasy ... to me.

Pure speculation but I imagine it does auto-renew. I think the only concern would be if someone were fired.

Jeff that's why I was asking, but I've had a gut feeling like G said that it would.

:dunno: I'm on a 4year contract.

Also Oneback, my recruiting is basically done. I have a vested interest in players leaving, cuts, training, and position changes. The actual recruiting isn't a concern to me.

As far as availability I could probably and hop on and off to get some things done at any point during the day but once 9pm est hits ill be online non-stop.

I'll be doing CC just as I did last year - I just go through and make sure you don't accept another position and stay as the HC of the school you picked.

Texas defeats Georgia in the Cotton Bowl 27-10 in what was a defensive game. Both offenses were held under 250 yards.

A ticked off Notre Dame, goes old school Steve Spurrier/John Jenkins/Tom Osborne/Barry Switzer, and run up the score Vs CPU Pitt.

No mercy was shown.
