TGT 360 OD: Year 1 - Offseason

Does Wednesday around 7 central work to get together for the offseason?

pushing it back an hour to hour and a half would help me a lot. most of the guys i have left on my recruiting board, i have such a big lead over the second school, that they'll end up signing with me if i dont talk to em, and the others are either reaches that i'll be lucky to crack the top 3 at this point or guys i'm trying to convince not to go to washington state. i'd like to be a part of coaching carousel, cutting players, and position changes though (i have plans for some of my athletes).

Well we will see how quickly we get through the carousel and adjust accordingly, maybe Wednesday or Thursday at 8 central.

wednesday night is the only night i can be there for the long haul.. any other way it would have to be pretty late as in after 9:30 CT

yeah no need to be in a huge hurry to get it all in one night, I like to take a little time with positions changes and such so I vote we go the 24 hour route

sounds good to me... im used to this other hyper speed od that advances every 24 hours... i got screwed in that OD this past off season in position changes so being able to handle everything one step at a time... but i wouldnt mind setting say a 9 ET advance, and say we all were RTA before you head to bed you could advance it again etc... the quicker we set ready the quicker it goes, some stuff just doesn't need a full 24 hours to do... but i definitely dont mind it at all... better than having the ATH i recruit for QB stuck playing RB and i cant swap and use him because it removes his ability to audible... but i wont rant about it...

wtf... why have you advanced? in the bowl week it said advance date was thursday... i lost my bowl because you simmed it... what is the point in being an OD that advances at a smooth pace and not rush through stuff if you arent going to stick to the schedule you put out?

that pretty much tells me i have until tomorrow to get it in... im trying to positive in this OD with not getting one single user game all year, taking a sim loss because of schedule conflict, but come on man... its not really worth the wait if i am dealing with the same stuff i get from fast paced OD's...

Well declined HC jobs at both Rice and then Texas St. but then was offered the HC job with the USF Bulls. Yes please. Pretty talented team in a recruiting hot bed and in a weak conference. Watch out.

question: i tried to convince some guys to come back for another year, but they didnt make a definite decision. will i find out the result when we advance? or is it set up to where if you dont get him to commit to coming back for another year, he's leaving?

I had the same question. In the PS3 OD, I thought I got a response immediately so I'm not sure what no response means. My guess is that it means no luck. :(

so apparently you have to get him to commit to come back for another year in order to actually get him to stay. if you let him decide while he's on the fence about coming back or leaving, he'll leave.

My 360 has been hit with the dreaded RROD. I'm either going to try to fix it or find a cheap replacement system. If neither pan out, I'll continue the OD via the web but (JB) this season, please minimize my number of games versus humans. Any human on the schedule, I will go on autopilot so they can play the CPU instead.

USF is done, man the computer sucks at recruiting. This whole class they've got blows. Most of these guys will never see the field because I'll recruit better next season but oh well, the price of changing jobs but at least I'm an HC now :)

No. Have to have the commish pack or season ticket. Have them both on ps3 but not 360. I'm doing ring announcing for a local MMA show right after work tomorrow, so that is why the next advance won't be til Saturday.

damn. the worst part about the random week 5 signings, is that they'll sign with you before the recruits that are on your board have a chance to sign. i lost out on two very good recruits because of 3 random players.
