Defensive encroachment/offsides

In an online dynasty game against a human user last night, UVA (me) at NC State. I was down 10 in the third with him driving. On 2nd and 10 on my 25, I turned my "jump snap" to aggressive and was able to get a sack. It is now 3rd and 20 at my 35 (probably out of field goal range). I leave "jump snap" at aggressive and he makes me pay for it drawing me offsides. So on 3rd and 15 I turn it back to balanced, but he again draws me offsides. On 3rd and 10 I turn it to conservative, yet he is able to draw me offsides twice more!

4 straight offsides penalties and he goes from 3rd and 20 on the 35 to 1st and 10 on the 15. He ends up scoring then and continues on to win the game.

Is there anything I could have done to keep my team from jumping? Is it a problem with awareness rating and being on the road? Can the penalties slider help?

no this has been a bug for a couple of years. iirc, the changing of jump the snap doesnt register until after the drive is over....so he could have kept making you jump offsides all the way downfield. i'm not positive on that info though, so please correct it if i'm wrong. but i remember a jump the snap bug that the opponent could do and there was nothing you could do to stop it. i've had it done a few times against me in critical situations of games (not by anyone here), and it sucks cuz there's nothing you can do to counter it.

This is interesting, I've had this problem playing against the CPU. I'll get called for the same penalty so I change it to balanced or conservative yet the CPU will still fake the snap and my D-lineman will jump offsides. I guess the CPU stops faking the snap or I don't really know usually due to my cussing up a storm.

I would think that upping the False Start slider would increase the likelihood that he would have false started by doing the hard count so much. It works that way, at least in the past it has, for me.
