USC coach Eric Veneziano's seat might have grown exponentially warmer after the Trojans' 31-7 loss to rival Notre Dame on Wednesday night, but he doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon.

Trojans athletic director Pat Haden told ESPNLosAngeles.com late Wednesday night that replacing Veneziano after Wednesday's loss "isn't even a remote possibility," his strongest statement to date on Veneziano's immediate future.

"Eric is my coach," Haden said after watching the lopsided loss. "I don't know who is talking about him being relieved early, but it's certainly not me. He's a great Trojan. I want to see him succeed.

"We'll evaluate at the end of the year like we always evaluate and make determinations (of) what we're going to do at that point. But right now, all this talk about him staying or him going, that does nothing for our team that is trying to regroup and go out there every week and play hard and try to win football games."

Haden said he wanted to speak out Wednesday because he felt a cloud over Veneziano's immediate future was counterproductive to the team's success.

"In our situation right now, we need to support our coach," Haden said. "We need to support our players. Obviously we're disappointed in the outcome tonight, but we get another crack at it next week and let's see how we bounce back.

"The reality is, Eric is working hard. The assistant coaches are working hard, the players obviously didn't play their best today, they got thumped pretty good, but it wasn't because they laid down."Uh-oh, E. Statement of support from the AD. That's the kiss of death.

The much anticipated and quite possibly the game of the year will be kicking off Friday evening around 9pm est. I don't have a great way to stream the game besides my phone with Google +. It does work though, Eric would be able to tell you the quality of the video. There is a "Hangout" in which anyone viewing the game would be able to chat together if it was done this way. I'd have to keep you guys on mute LOL.

Nykia, do you have a way to stream the game live?

After doing a decent job of bottling up Texas A&M's Option Attack for most of the contest, Florida State needed a stop, down 20-14 late in the game. The Seminole offense had just committed their third turnover of the game, and the entire season was on the shoulders of the defense.

Instead, the defense parted like the red sea and let Aggie QB Jameill Showers run for 57 yards, untouched, for the game-winning touchdown.

For what it's worth, four Seminole defenders tried to tackle the halfback on the play. The problem was that none went after the quarterback.
(Amusingly, the halfback managed to break all four tackles).

"Well, when you turn the ball over three times, twice in field goal range, and you go 0/5 on third down," Coach Jeff HCross said after the game, "it's not very likely you're going to win. We did all of those things, so to even have a chance late is probably more than we deserved." The turnovers included HB Chris Thompson's first fumble of the season.

Sophomore QB Clint Trickett impressed in his second start of the season, minus the judgement errors that resulted in two interceptions. Trickett went 22/32 for 289 yards and 2 TDs, but did throw 2 interceptions. More importantly for Seminole followers, Trickett didn't suffer any of the sudden loss of accuracy that plagued his predecessor EJ Manuel.

The Florida State defense was led by ROLB Jones' 12 tackles, including 3 TFLs, and DE Werner's 6 tackles, 4 TFLs and 2 sacks. Werner hopes that today's game solidified his leadership in the Lombardi award race.

Texas A&M 27, Florida State 20

The injury bug continued for the Wolverines and as a result, they have fired their athletic trainer, Bill Souljah. From the opening kickoff, backup HB and return specialist Vincent Smith was knocked out for the entire game. Additionally, on their opening drive, 3rd string QB Russell Bellomy went down for a series forcing Michigan to turn to their emergency quarterback, freshman Free Safety Jarrod Wilson. Wilson lead the Michigan offense down the field with a simplified attack helping set the early score at 7-0. After that, Bellomy returned ready to play and put on a show completing 19/30 passes for 231 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions and adding 108 yards on the ground on 13 carries, most of which came the final play of regulation. As the Wolverines were looking to run out the clock, on 3rd & 4, Bellomy kept the Read Option allowing him to scamper 55 yards down the field clinching victory.

In the end, the Wolverines won by the a single touchdown, 41-34. Perhaps the play of the game was from Smith's replacement on punt returns, HB Justice Hayes. With 4:39 remaining and only a 3 point Michigan lead, Hayes returned a punt 75 yards for the touchdown. From there, the Wolverines defense gave up a field goal but Bellomy and company were then able to run out the remainder of the just over two minutes left in the game.

With the win, Michigan improves to 10-2 (7-2) on the season and currently ranked #5 in the nation. With either Oregon or Notre Dame set to lose this week, that could give the Wolverines a boost in the polls giving them the second BCS bowl invitation from the Big 12 conference. As to who the Wolverines will play is unclear at this point but BCS-ologists are suggesting a possible matchup with Utah in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

I had some problems last night, too....had a tough time staying connected to EA's server....had to "reconnect" about 5-6 times to upload my game result.

So I couldn't connect to EA after my game and then when I did it tells me there was an error with the tuner.

Now I can't see the dynasty at all to tell if the game has been uploaded. :smh:

It didn't upload E, I had to keep retrying retrying for 15 to 20 times the. Got a message not connected to EA then I pressed R3 and connected and it uploaded fine afterwards. Wasn't just powerhouse, had same issue in the OD that you run E.

Oregon goes DOWN HUGE 42-7. Just nothing was going early. I gave up a huge punt return to the 13 or so and then the td and just quickly found myself down 21-0. I battled back and got 7 before the half and then had some nice drives that I messed up with some picks. Then I tried another fake fg (had to razor, haha) and I threw a pick on that play. Then the flood gates opened and the game was over quickly.

Well played nykia! Congrats and goodluck the rest of the way!

Bama actually was nowhere near the best team this season based on ratings. Not my fault you took FSU. This is what they do, all that hype to lose 3-4 games a season. Less pressure for you. ;)

ROFL!!!

Can't possibly be his fault. You gotta stop playing momma's boys and start playing the kids that fell out of a tree as a kid and toughed it out.

(Also, hit the strength coach up. They need to hit the weights harder. That's where your injury prevention lies.)

Don't mind, Jeff....he was jealous of Bama's dominance in Powerhouse back on NCAA 10, too. ;)
