FINALLY!!!!! We're now in Week 6. Let's get back on track, though I will be lenient for this first week since I'm sure everyone will need to get reacquainted with their old team.

Three UvU games this week, MTSU at UNM, UAB at Texas State, & UTSA at NMSU. Deadline is 8/19 or 8/17.

Akron gets a really big recruiting week win as The Zips take down in-state rival Miami, OH 31-7. Ten different recruits were visiting for the game, several of which are considered key targets for The Zips' recruiting class.

I just got done playing one of the CRAZIEST games of NCAA ever. Thanks to a lot of early turnovers, Memphis got out to a lead of 18 before Southern Miss closed it to 4. Then I get up by 18 again in the 4th quarter, Southern Miss scores twice, and then recovers TWO ONSIDE KICKS :fp:

I thought I was done for after the 2nd successful onside kick. It's 4th and goal at the 8 yard line with about :30 left. The QB takes off and scrambles, he gets TACKLED AT THE 1. Change of possession with Southern Miss only having one timeout.

So you think it's a piece of cake right? NOPE. 2nd down on a QB keeper to run out the clock, he FUMBLES. Thankfully on a booth review it was overturned and I held on 42-37. Maybe I should have just took the safety and took my chances :D man that was up there on wildest games ever played. The great game points didn't reflect it as it was a hair over 1000 to only place 5th so far in NCAA 13.

Memphis improves to 2-3 with a chance to catch their breath in week 7 as they have a bye.

Haha my last game was full of the most shit I've ever seen.

Dropped 5 picks that would have all but ended the game UAB's last 3 drives

3 seconds left tied game. UAB tosses up a pass into double coverage it gets knocked down and the WR 8 yards behind the play dives in catching the ball for the TD lol.

Never mind we had just dropped a pick the play before....and 2 plays before that

35 points were also scored in the 4th quarter alone. 4 TD's came in the last 1:14.

Probably all but sealed this game for me anyway

MTSU pulls out a 28-21 double OT win over UNM.

Great game razor, lots of fun. That 19 play drive for a TD was crazy. First the fake punt, then fake fg conversions were crazy. I think that is only the second time each I've ever pulled either off.

Great play calling on that drive the whole way. The crazy thing is on both attempts I figured you were going to fake it and still couldn't stop it. The fake FG was killer since he tackled him right on the first down line.

Tons of fun either way. Looking forward to the rematch.

Love how the ball stayed in the air long enough for him to do that.You would have enjoyed my game against Escobar tonight ... his CB somehow managed to deflect an interception to himself (basically, it hit him in the hands yet he managed to catch it before it hit the ground), yet my DBs couldn't catch anything, even when they were basically in position to fair catch it. I had quite a few hit my defenders square in the hands, atleast thrown right to them. 3 of which were on that drive alone if you count the drop on the TD pass by my best player on the team.

Both times, I thought oh no I should just call a timeout. But since I rarely do it I thought I'd try out the fake punt. The one issue with that fake punt I didn't like is your LB'r was just standing still and not attacking when I was approaching him. I'm not sure what the heck was the issue there, maybe low awr I would hope but it sure didn't look right.

That fake FG, I knew I had my SR QB as the place holder (he lost the starting job in the preseason), so I knew he was poised enough to make a decent throw. Then when I saw the defense I thought for sure I'd get time to make the throw. I was on the edge of my seat wondering if I made it or not. I was sure I was short of the first down.

Lots and lots of fun. Thanks, that drive may have been one of my all time favorites in NCAA. It certainly ranks right up there. We both had some drives that were so much fun. Like you said last night the chess match was a blast.
