Half-life 3 is now included in a list of new releases uploaded to the official Gamescom 2012 site and may be teased/announced at Gamescom 2012.

Joystiq got word from Gamescom organizers that HL3 listing is a mistake.

My bet that it's being shown behind closed doors.
