I didn't watch, so I can't comment.

However, from what I read, Ba is not a Blue yet - Chelsea is in talks with him and has Newcastle's permission to do so. Torres has known for some time that another Striker would be in the team in January and he has played pretty well for the last few weeks. I'm sure Ba will be in the fold soon, and Benitez has (per his own words) already told Torres that he will lose alot of time when Chelsea adds someone.

The only shitty part about adding Ba, as opposed to say - Falcao, is that Ba will, like Mikel and Moses, soon leave the team for the African Nations Cup.

If you've paid any attention today, you know that Demba Ba signed a 3.5 year deal with Chelsea completing his move from Newcastle. The deal came in time for Chelsea's FA Cup match tomorrow against Southampton.

We could see Ba debut tomorrow as Chelsea begins their defense as cupholders and tries to make it 5 FA Cups in the last 7 years.

Ba could also make his home debut at the Bridge on Wednesday when the Blues host Swans in the first leg of the Capital One Cup semifinals. Chelsea certainly looks good to win this competition as the other semi features Bradford and Villa.

Ba scored twice in his Chelsea debut as the Blues dispatched Southampton, 5-1, to advance in the FA Cup.

RVP saved United's ass with an equalizer at 91' against the Hammers. The match ended 2-2 so a Replay will be necessary. It's been unbelievable, of late, how many times the Red Devils have stolen a result close to time.

Per his agent, Frank Lampard has been told by Chelsea both in Japan, and again following the win over Everton, that they will not, under any circumstances, be making him a contract offer.

Last year it was Drogba. Now Lamps. It's tough business, but it's how the Blues operate. You're over 30 (Lampard is 34) then it's one-year deals or no deals at all. It's the high cost of keeping the club continually competitive.

Lampard, like Drogba, is a Chelsea legend and will be sorely missed by supporters.

An update on my previous post.

Per Rafa, Torres had a stomach bug on Wednesday but was forced to action because Ba was held back with a slight hamstring bother. Benitez characterized Ba's injury as a "niggle" and said that Torres gave his all despite appearances.

John Terry will be in the squad on Saturday against Stoke after missing the last 16 matches, but will not start. Terry played 45 minutes on Thursday with Chelsea's U21 team against Fulham and experienced no setbacks.

Chelsea took care of business today earning a 4-0 win at Stoke City and, in doing so, handed the Potters their first home loss of the season.

Next up, the Blues host Southampton on Wednesday in the match that had to be rescheduled from December when Chelsea was in Japan for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Chelsea got a 2-1 result over ARSEnal yesterday to maintain a firm hold on a Champions League place in the Premier League table.

The Blues have the second leg of the Capital One Cup semi against Swans on Wednesday. Swans got a 2-0 result in the first leg at the Bridge. Big effort is needed if Chelsea are to survive through to the final.

On Sunday, it's a trip to Brentford for the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Doing pretty good too. After a perfect round, I'm sitting 3,064 in the world, pulling in 94.7% with 153 points. This is the highest I think I've ever been in any of these contests on ESPN.

I WOULD be doing better, but back in the Round of 16 (Leg 1), I fucked up and forget to make picks for the February 12th and 13th matches, losing me points from four matches, losing me, mostly likely, a full 16 points, depending on if I picked how I think I would have.
