Texas State continues their win streak taking out Texas A&M 42-17. Moving to 4-0.

Game started out rough with 2 fumbles and A&M scoring 10 straight points.

But then QB Steven Rutherford got on a roll once he figured out the A&M D. He would go 16-24 with 348 yards, 5 TD's and 1 INT. He also ran 1 in for a score.

The Defense picked off A&M QB twice and put hits on him all game.

In general I would agree with you, but unfortunately no amount of sliders will fix the horrible CPU playcalling that occurs sometimes. Yeah the CPU's decision making is stupid. They don't call screens against me but they do go for multiple 4th downs and take off running with the QB damn near every drop back even without pressure and people open. It's ridiculous. Ever since people have complained they never take off to scramble they now take off nearly immediately.

I play them sim too like I would any User. I dont go for it on 4th unless in a legit situation which is usually 4th and 1 or inches past the 50-yd line.

And I've only played this game about 8-9 times including these 4 dynasty games and I'm not that good honestly.

Oh and Texas State is actually a solid team, granted not a typical sexy NCAA team but they have playmakers on the field. Especially on Defense which is what I enjoy playing the most.

I tried to advance the OD to Week 6 but it wouldn't go through, even though it sent an email saying it completed. I think they're having problems with the OD servers because it's also giving me an odd error message when I try to advance from the web.

I'll try again in the morning and hopefully it will go through and not some sort of Transfer Fail issue.

When I logged in this morning I had to download an update. Maybe they were uploading the update while you were trying to advance.

The web says the OD is temporarily locked :dunno: happened when I clicked on recruiting

When I logged in this morning I had to download an update. Maybe they were uploading the update while you were trying to advance.
No... I don't believe that's related.

I just tried to advance and still getting the same issue. I've sent all of the details to EA to hopefully be able to address it and keep us moving. It's similar to last year's transfer fail to where after all of the advance week has processed and it attempts to upload the data, it fails. I'm going to wait to hear back from EA before I make a decision whether to reload Week 5 or not. Hopefully they'll be able to fix it on their end somewhat quickly.

Starting completely over is not an option. Starting Week 5 over is an option, but essentially only as a last resort.

Just FYI, I've been talking with an EA dev this afternoon regarding this and what they've discovered is that their servers see it as though bjrod started a super-sim from the web game. However, in talking with bjrod, he tried to do a super sim from the web but it wouldn't work so he instead played it from his console. So the trick is that they'll have to figure out on their end if they're able to unflag bjrod's game or not. There's not a timeline at this point as the dev has to wait for an answer from the engineers. I imagine they're hopeful that they can get it cleared up tomorrow but there are no guarantees as to when.

For now, we're just going to hold tight until we get some kind of timeline. It sucks waiting but I'd rather wait a few days than restart Week 5 and lose those days anyway.



All that said... for the time being I'd say we hold off on using supersim from the web until they figure out if there is a problem with it on there end or not.

Well, I did in fact hear from EA tonight. They said that they've identified the problem but unfortunately it's not easy to resolve. They have told me that we can expect it to be resolved early next week and they'll keep me updated as things change.

Personally, I'm in favor to continue to wait, if no other reason than I'm going to be tied up this weekend anyway. Let me know if others strongly disagree but I'd prefer to let EA fix it rather than create new problems by reloading a week.
