Guys,
I'd like to ask you for feedback on the sliders after you get your week 4 games played.
Any and all thoughts are welcome as we will continue to make this OD as good as it can be for us all.
So penalties, sliders or just general thoughts please feel free to share so we make changes if necessary.
I'll add my observations after you all do and respond to you guys as we go here.
Happy coach moding guys.

So far, I like the current sliders. I have not noticed anything yet that should be addressed.

Coach, before making any changes, check this: http://www.thegamingtailgate.com/forums/showthread.php?5466-Online-Dynasty-sliders-DO-effect-User-vs-User-games&p=154269#post154269
Not sure what it would do to a Coach Mode setup, but an FYI at least.

Thanks Jeff, we're coach mode so it shouldn't effect us nearly as much as it does the thumb jockeys but I see how that could cause some issues for guys using the sticks.

Guys an interesting video I saw, not sure how much there is to it but worth a try I guess. This guy is pretty arrogant but who knows. He seems to have a following.

Coach great conversations last night, before it's all said and done we are going to have the best OD ever. In reference to the Sydeburnz set that we discussed. I'm not sure if you read that entire
page but he mentioned that he was also labbing to test the option running game in an effort to improve it.. In order to do this he said that he was going to move the rush defense slider down from 55 to 40.
I just wanted to make sure you got that part since we plan on testing them in our test dynasties. Sydeburnz also noted on that same page that if you in fact use auto pass and don't control the sticks you
are not playing the same AI as the true coach mode. That was my concern with the auto pass feature. I kind of figured that it was an entirely different animal. So having said that I think going forward, even
when you decide to expand that you should really emphasize that we play in true coach mode. Since the sliders that we will be using was intended for true coach mode. Keep in mind that I really enjoy the
league and I am not demanding anything I'm just making a suggestion. I also posted the link to that OPERATION SPORTS feature article on slider rankings that I spoke about. This gives a great amount of
credibility to Sydeburnz's work.

I'm also looking at some other sliders for us since we are all using strictly the coach mode play style now instead of regular with auto-pass. Here's a couple I'm going to test and feel free to do so yourself in a test dynasty because sliders player differently in play now vs dynasty games.
Sydeburnz' 2013 Coach Sliders (HUM COACH vs CPU) (http://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football-sliders/562562-sydeburnz-2013-coach-sliders-hum-coach-vs-cpu.html)
ZaPPPa's coach mode sliders (All-American) (http://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football-sliders/563179-zapppas-coach-mode-sliders-all-american.html#post2043914369)

For sure BOSS, going forward it's Coach Mode play style only, not Regular with auto-pass

Coach I just watched that link that you posted and the question that I have is why didn't he run that same running play with his slider set. This would have been proof that his set actually works and with
such a detailed video it's hard for me to imagine that he accidentally left this out. However I must say that it was interesting to say the least. It brings me to think about Sydeburnz set. Unlike the set that
Versuz uses and the ones we currently use Sydeburnz leaves it all the the same for the CPU/HUM. I know that it's the CPU running the plays but, it's still us against the CPU. You can clearly tell that on Heisman
and default sliders that the CPU's players seem to have an advantage. So honestly I like the concept with the ones that we use but I'm still going to give Syde's set a shot. Like I told you before I've used Sydeburnz's
All American set and they seem to easy at times. I was able to take inferior teams on the road and win to often. But with this Heisman set it might be different. As for Versuz's concept I'm not to sure. I understand
the point he's trying to make but he didn't mention anything about game speed or threshold. He didn't even clarify as to what modes coach mode HUM vs CPU , regular HUM vs CPU, or regular HUM vs HUM. So at the
the end of the day it sounds like you would have to do a lot tinkering to get the right BALANCE lol. Thats a large window to play with 30-70. So I'm thinking stick with what we currently use but definely give
Syde's a shot because he actually designed his set for TRUE COACH MODE in conjunction with another group of guys that Versuz mentioned SecElite3.

yeah we certainly won't change anything until I've had a chance to test it thoroughly
our OD won't be a testing ground be assured
I will continue to try to find the best sliders possible for us all that encompasses realism, statistics and the ability to run all different types of offense and defense

A coach my bad on what I said about Syde's set. His also uses different settings for the HUM/CPU. The ones that zaPPPa's using look pretty good too.

Yeah I'm going to test those 3 with 4 games a piece, bad v bad, good v good, bad v good, good v bad and see what I see
Hopefully we'll find at the very least a good starting point and we can tweak slightly from there as we go.

Coach I must have been sleepy when I said that Syde's sliders are different for HUM/CPU because they are not. The reason that I think this is relevant because of how it plays on Heisman with default sliders.
But anyway he would know more than me. Did you notice that he also includes auto-sub settings. I wonder if these are vital for the set to be accurate. I'm gonna go with his auto-sub sliders also during my
dynasty test. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes compared to what we use now.

Alright guys, I think I found the "goods" for our coach mode sliders. They are based on the Sydeburnz (major credit to him for a great starting point) ones I posted above with just a few minor tweaks. I played several halves with different caliber teams last night and I was having so much fun I didn't get to sleep till almost 3 AM. So here are very likely our new sliders so fire up a test offline OD and play some games yourself with these and tell me what you think.
To play in COACH MODE do the following: Click A button to begin the game (screen that allows you to pick your Offense/Defensive scheme) and change CONTROLS from REGULAR to COACH.
Sydeburnz' 2013 Heisman HUM COACH vs CPU Dynasty Slider
Skill Level: Heisman
Quarter Length: 9 min
Speed: Slow
Threshold: 56 - Why 56? That is the slowest player on the Memphis Roster. There is some speculation that it assists with pass coverage as well. So I am not assiting players with speed but may add a slight coverage assistance (probably by adding speed to secondary)
Penalties:
No need running these up to 100 if they dont work. The sliders that do work seem to happen more often at 50+
Offsides: 56
False Start: 56
Holding: 52
Facemask: 56
OPI: 56
DPI: 56
KR/PRI: 56
Clipping: 56
IG: 56
Roughing Pass: 52
Roughing Kick: 56
Human/CPU - if there is one # they are the same
QBA - 30 (-5 from Sydeburnz original, more incompletions and errant passes, at 35 both QBs seemed to be to accurate and rarely missed a throw)
PB - 45
WRC - 45
RBA - 50
RB - 55
PC - 70
PR - 60/50 (+5 HUM & -5 CPU, this gives the HUM QB just a split second more and vice versa while also making the instant "blast through your OL sacks" much less, also gives us just a little bit more pressure on the CPU)
INT - 35
RD - 60/50 (+5 HUM & -5 CPU, this holds the CPU LBs a split second longer so they aren't so quick to react and always blast you behind the line, also helps with outside runs and all types of option plays, our D is a split second faster so they aren't standing around waiting for the HB to come to them)
TAC - 40
FGP - 60
FGA - 35
PP - 50
PA - 50
KOP - 45
Overall guys, these sliders played AMAZING for me and I'm going to continue to test them more tonight and I'll probably implement them going into the next week unless there are major objections.
Playing the game with these sliders last night/this morning just felt and looked great, the stats were great. Saw new animations I hadn't seen before. I am going to get my offline dynasty going with these as well now that I've found what I believe is the best possible starting point.
Feedback always welcome.

Whats up coach I'm all in. The game that I played went fairly well and with the few adjustments that you want to make to Syde's set
should be icing on the cake. All and all my game was pretty solid. The only thing that worries me is having the exact same slider settings
as the CPU on Heisman. Well almost the same, with the difference in pass rush and rush defense that might be enough to give us the
perfect mix/balance. Hell why wait do it ASAP. It's fair since we all will be playing on the same thing. But after this we probably should
ride it out over a good period of time no matter what. To get a larger sample size.

Guys when you get a chance try to test the new slider set that Coach just posted. Feedback is important so that we all can have a great experience. I just had a bad go at it with
this new set but maybe it was just me getting out coached. The thing that concerns me is that mostly all the sliders are even for USER and the CPU. I think that's a recipe for disaster when you are talking about
playing on Heisman. I actually like the new set,not because I'm currently ranked 70th up from like 117th but because great coaching pays off with the current set. This new is not the same to me anyways. The CPU
is just simply over powering. Remember we don't have any control of the play after the ball is snapped so that makes it that much more important that we are on the same playing field as the CPU. Meaning to play in
True Coach Mode the sliders have to be in the USER's favor just like the set that we use now. Get in test out the new set and a make a post so we can move forward without any doubt. Like I said maybe it's just me that
gets work over on Heisman with mostly neutral sliders for USER/CPU.

Yep, like BOSS said, get in and do some testing and let your feelings be known or else things will get changed and you'd have had no say but then don't complain either :)
I love the set I posted after playing more than a hand full of 1st halves last night and I hate our current set but apparently BOSS is the opposite so we need some more feedback and more testing.
In the meantime I'm looking at alternatives, there are several coach mode slider sets out there now so I'll try those and we may also have to think about All-American because some of those sets are using All-American. Who knows but I'll damn sure keep trying to do the best I can for everyone.

No point in rushing into any changes so we'll play out season 1 with our current sliders to get a larger sample size and re-address it between seasons and make changes then if we see fit.
In the meantime I'll just do my own testing and see if I can come up with anything.

Well Coach it's just you and me again. Come on fellas we're getting into the good part of the
season. So guys get on the the board and make a post from time to time. Remember you are the
AD and head coach of your programs LOL. So represent your universities by speaking up for
them in regards to sliders, league rules, and anything else that you feel that could be better.

I like the current sliders and feel that they are fine, Changes should be talked about in the off-season. Just test them out for now.
